This property is one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we've ever had. Every request or issue was met with obstruction in some form. The room smelled of smoke despite being a no-smoking property. It felt like a legitimately hostile environment.
We arrived at 11:15 for check-in, and were told that the front desk would be open until 12. When arriving, the desk was shuttered and no one was around. There was a landline phone with a number to dial for if no one was there, they didn't pick up and the voicemail didn't work. There was a cell phone number to call on the paper, they didn't pick up and the voicemail didn't work. I went to the website and called the company who oversees the property, they connected me to three different people ultimately to be told that someone would be on their way but no further information. I called each number 3 times. It took over an hour for anyone to come, and it was only when some other staff member saw us and called the actual front desk person on their cell phone, who was in the building!
The room was not very appealing. I understand you get what you pay for and it was clean enough. There were no visible bugs or anything. The fridge was rusty on the outside and moldy on the inside. The TV was small and out of the way, we didn't bother with it. The bed was firm and the pillows were flimsy. The sheets and blankets had a rough texture. Front desk was condescending and refused extra pillows or washcloths.
