For a day or two stay at most, it's a decent hotel. Small hotel but if you don't plan on being there for more than a few days, it's a perfect place to stay. Comfortable beds, and close to everything in the area.

The rooms were nice and clean. Hotel in good location. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff were really friendly.

The outside of the hotel looked good, but the carpet in the room was old and didn't look like it had been vacuumed. The room had a bad odor when we walked in. The heater worked, for which we were grateful because it was rainy and cool when we arrived. The bathroom was set up for a handicapped person (which we were not). It was large enough for a wheel chair to roll around in, but there was no cabinet or table to set our shower kit or make up bag on. The mattress was very uncomfortable. We did have enough bedding and pillows however. The location was good and there were restaurants nearby, altho, we needed to drive to them.

The room was relatively clean, but there was a musty odor, especially in the bathroom area. Walls are thin and some noise penetrates through from next door. Convenient to the main drag and the highway, and the service was pleasant. OK for a businessman's night's sleep, but I wouldn't take my family there.

I thought it was very expensive for such an old hotel but then found all hotels in Santa Cruz were high, so I was satisfied in the end. Bed and pillows were clean and very comfortable. Location was good.

Stayed three nights. Room was good size and clean; hotel well located for what we were doing. The toilet didn't work the first day, but the manager got it fixed while we were out that day so it was not an ongoing problem. Continental breakfast was supposed to be available beginning at 7:00am, but typically wasn't really available until 7:15 or later.

The view isn't great, but the room was clean, there was a small frig, microwave, iron'ironning board, and hair dryer- much more than I expected for a cheap place. This is a great hotel if you're just planning on running around santa cruz the whole time. It would not be that great if you wanted to lay in bed, read and listen to the ocean. Overall nice stay.

This hotel was way over priced, especially on the weekends! Although our room was clean, it was old and definitely needed upgrading.

the room smells bad and the bathroom tub is clogged. I am not satisfied

Reading the previous reviews prior to booking was a great advantage. There were no surprises. Traveling with children on a budget does not allow me to book 5 star hotels. This location was perfect. The boardwalk was down the street, the staff was extremely friendly, we could ride our bikes in the neighborhood, walk to the restaurant, had access to the bike trails on the levy, and it was very close to Roaring Camp Railroad. The room was clean, but nothing special. It could use some cosmetic upgrades, but I am very pleased for the price.

They were not friendly during my stay at hotel.

Location was great and room were very nice and clean. Would definately stay again.

It was a basic hotel room. I thought the weekend rates were very high and out of proportion to the quality of the hotel. Thes is construction next door, which was not a problem for us since we are early risers, but could be for those who like to sleep in.

Great place at a highly affordable rate and close proximity to all. Recommend it highly!

The owners were personable and cared about our experience. The room was decent/basic. There was a slight smell of cleanser. I opened the window for an hour to get some fresh air into the room- but I often have to do that at hotels!

The hotel clerk was exceptionally courteous, helpful and this college student/clerk has such good social grace and desire to be helpful. The room was very comfortable and large. This hotel does not have fancy restaurant or lobby area...but then, for the rates that I paid, it is a great bargain.

Clean the floors, paint the room, fix the tv, just plain clean the place.

Stayed one night for a Holloween party in Santa Cruz. The room had a slight smell, I think it was the carpet. The bed was good, but overall room needed some TLC. Front desk receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

The attendent was rude, our hotel rooms smelled like mold, they were cold. This hotel charged us for the kids even though they calimed "kids under 18 stay for free" buch of liars... we were charged $64 dollars for missing towels which we did not take. It was very far for the boardwalk, I would not recommend this hotel for a family stay.

We were looking for an inexpensive, non-seedy option for an overnight stay in town while visiting UCSC campus. This motel met our needs perfectly. Basic lodging, comfortable and clean and reasonable price.

Nothing overtly fancy but the room met our needs and was reasonable comfortible. Considering the high costs for hotel rooms in Santa Cruz, during the summer, and though the cost was a bit of a shock, comparitively, it was competitively priced for the area and time of season. It's a decent place to stay and though not located right on the ocean or Board Walk, its only about a 1.5 miles away and it is in a location not far away from access to several points of interest. I guess you could say its centrally located for different types of outings. Not too far from the University, Mission Santa Cruz, the ocean or the Board Walk and once you learn your way around it logistically in a pretty good location. The room provided a comfortable and pleasant stay and I would have not problem staying there again.

Decent accomodations for a reasonable price. Room was comfortable for an overnight stay but did not have any "extras". Pool was dirty and very small. Internet connection was troublesome for several customers.

For the money, this hotel was great. It was clean, comfortable and the staff at the desk were very nice to us. We did walk into the downtown area one evening to eat and it was probably too far to walk with a young child in tow. We do wish the pool was heated since the mornings and evenings in Santa Cruz are so cool.

The room itself was a standard motel room. It was clean and comfortable for the price. The room we stayed in didn't have a fan in the bathroom and only a small window; too steamy. We kept the door open while showering to help vent the steam. The staff was pleasant. We stayed for two days during the middle of the week. It was very quiet even with all/most units rented. It was a few miles from the beach, just off the freeway so we had to spend some money on parking.

Rooms were clean. Would be nice to have a trash can in the room. Appliances should be plugged in. The staff was very friendly. Would stay again.

Good place to stay but an Outrageous price for a 2 Star Hotel.

Abbastanza lontano dal piccolo centro di St.Cruz (circa 15min a piedi). E' un motel mediamente pulito, ma assolutamente senza pretese.

Helt OK för en natt, pool finns och 'budgetfrukost' ingår. (Det ligger ett Denny's några kvarter bort för den som vill ha riktig frukost till OK priser) Sängen var skön och AC'n funkade, badrummet var rent. Skulle bo här igen om jag var på genomresa.
