Hotel com excelente localização, café da manhã simples mas muito bom. Fica praticamente junto aos melhores hotéis da Ocean Drive, perto de bares, restaurantes e da vida noturna de South Beach.

O hotel é agradável, o staff é bastante solícito, os quartos são grandes e novos e a localização também é muito boa. Como pontos negativos podemos citar o preço do estacionamento ($27 por dia) e as taxas adicionais (e não opcionais) cobradas dos hóspedes, como p. ex. a do café da manhã. Mesmo assim recomendo a hospedagem

This hotel has an amazing location and if you are visitng Miami on a random weekend in January this is your hotel to be at. Streets are not crowded with college kids and plenty of parking spaces are available. They are renovating the upper floors first and our hotel room was newly renovated. The bathroom was done fairly well and felt clean and inviting. […] The bed was comfortable and from the window we could get a glimpse of the ocean. The location is excellent and with $11 resort fee you get beach towel $5 bar coupon, breakfast, snacks in the lobby (fruit and granola bar), and discount at a nearby restaurant. Front desk service was excellent and they are willing to help. I did not hear any renovation noises like the rest of the review says but if you are in your room long enough to start noticing noises, then why are you in Miami to begin with? Good hotel, friendly staff and the hotels location is perfect and close to lincoln road. The rooms are ok and clean as you would expect. But if you want a big breakfast buffé you should take another hotel. For me the breakfast was ok but nothing special. great Location but walls are PAPER thin. I could hear the couple in the room next to ours simply having a normal conversation. They weren't yelling or anything, just talking. It was really hard to fall asleep. In addition, we had an ocean view which was nice at first, but at night it is nearly impossible to fall asleep with all the hustle and bustle […] on Ccean Drive. I wish they could put some insulation in the walls to mask some of these sounds. Everything else about the hotel was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, location was great, room was clean, etc. Only compliant was that i didn't sleep more than an hour or so. Oh and one more thing....obviously the bathrooms were designed by men because the sink was so tiny that there is no countertop to put makeup bags, hair dryers, or toothbrushes. You literally have to hold everythign in your hand when getting ready. In addition, the lighting in the bathroom is minimal and not enough to put on makeup. Ler mais

The hotel is all about location. It is close to restaurants and bars but not directly above them. So one can walk to them without being disturbed at night. The rooms are decent size but the bathroom is small. I would stay again.

hotel is very clean and in good condition.In the lobby you allways get free coffee,apples,cold water.The location is great!! All in all it was a good place to stay - HOWEVER, there was construction during my visit of which I was unaware. The lobby was a disaster! And all day long, there was pounding and sawing and drilling. Then, while I am on a conference call with my office, the fire alarm goes off. The fire alarm went off 4 times in 45 minutes. Once this started, we tried […] to get down the elevator - which was a joke as well. There is 1 elevator of which was shared with all 5 floors as well as the cleaing crew and the construction workers. It took FOREVER, it was so frustrating. I would have just taken the stairs but the constuction blocked those as well. Lastly, after talking to the front desk about the fire alarm, they just blew us off like it was no big deal. I was very dissappointed with how everything was handled. I believe it would have been a delightful stay if it weren't for the ridiculous construcion and the lack of consideration by management. I have stayed in various hotels in this area and, within this price range, this is by far the best hotel I have encountered. Some renovations ongoing in the general areas of the hotel, but the rooms are renovated, clean, large enough and quite. Not to mention the massive closetspace! This hotel is in an unbeatable location. And when my tv didnt work at 1am, they were able to get someone from another hotel 5 blocks away to fix it really fast. the service was really personal. Simple but clean hotel. Nice beds, good shower. Only 100 meters from the beach. Mandatory extra fee per room per day for continental breakfast, beach towels, internet and beach chairs. In 10 minutes in the mainstreet of South Beach.

The staff was amazing! Soo helpful andaccommodating. they treated us like a family. The location is lovely.

This hotel is currently under construction (Dec 2011) and looks like a disaster. Besides this, it is fairly run down. The pluses are that it's right on Ocean Drive close to the action, and that they do provide free breakfast.

The location is good: close to the beach and yet not a particularly noisy spot. I have stayed at the Winter Haven several times before and loved it. Beautiful building and lobby, simple but comfortable rooms and friendly staff all right on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. This time, the hotel was under renovation, so I called ahead to get more details and was told that the construction was only in guest rooms and only on weekdays. […] Unfortunately, this was not the case. I arrived on Saturday and observed ongoing contruction through the weekend. There was sheetrock dust in the elevator and lobby, and I sometimes had to share the elevator with the workers. There was also occasional hammering going on in a room below mine (daytime only), and my ceiling light and fan kept turning on and off by itself. Hotel offered to waive the resort fee when I reported the problem with my light, which was nice. Most of this was a minor nuisance, but it did make my stay less enjoyable than usual. If you want to enjoy the experience of an historic Miami Beach hotel, I would recommend you wait until the construction is completed. Ler mais

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night before we got on a 3-day cruise. There was construction going on at that time - which is a good thing, it means they're renovating, which they probably need. The room was okay, small but okay. It was definitely an okay hotel to stay at for one night to a much better destination - so if you're not looking […] to spend a lot and just need a place to sleep for the night, this isn't a bad option. But if you're looking for a miami vacation, I wouldn't stay here. The hotel has very limited amenities, they over beach chairs and beach towels for a daily amenity fee, which was waived for us on account of my husband's birthday. If you are looking for a traditional hotel on Miami Beach this would be a good choice. The rooms are small, but clean and the breakfast in the morning was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. This art-deco hotel is well located across from the park and very handy to the beach, bikes, and good tavern. The staff was great and very accomodating for helping us check in early due to our early flight. Caution, there is some construction on the exterior underway and there is a lot of daytime construction noise. Beautiful lobby and porch!

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel before heading on to finish our vacatin and wanted to sleep in prior to departing Miami. Well we werent told on hotels.com of any construction nor when we checked in to the Winter Haven. Woke up at 0920 to the sound of a man jack hammering on the outside wall of the hotel. We complained to the front desk and […] they said we should have gotten a letter on the desk in our room and a letter when we checked in. NOPE TO BOTH. The said all they could do was credit us the $11.50 Resort fee. WOW wont go back! That and the shower is smaller than the ones on cruise ships. Ler mais

In short: All in all it's a great deal. Great location, great price compared to what else is around, helpful and very friendly staff. Highly recommended. More details: It's on the north end of South Beach making it a great location. Cross the street and you're on South Beach. Walk 3 blocks north and you're on the popular Lincoln Rd. Breakfast is included if you're up before 10am - unlikely if you enjoyed Maimi Beach's amazing night life. The room was big enough, comfy bed, nice TV. The bathroom is tight, but it is all white, very clean and quite charming. The staff was great at all hours of the day. They were one of the best I've experienced. Be aware that there is a separate (and mandatory) hotel fee for amenities such as beach towels. For two of us it came to $38, but included the $20 or $25 for a day of valet parking. Ler mais

The hotel was very well situated close to beach, and the rooms clean, although it always smelled very stuffy everytime we returned to the room. An extra bed lamp and desk will be great. The furniture and futtings in lobby and on front veranda really need an upgrade.

Overall a good experience but for a couple of things. Carpet was dirty in room and windows were so dirty could not see out of them. Hotel has just changed ownership and so I expect to see improvements. I would stay again. Watch the valet service, which is contracted, they damaged my car and tried to get away with it. Directly across from the beach. The staff were beyond helpful. They definitely exceeded my expectations. The hotel was nice and quiet. Served a continental breakfast which was very nice. You cannot beat the price for the location, staff, and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book this hotel again.

The listing price on hotels.com was low and within my budget. But when I arrived the hotel adds an amenity fee and valet parking fee. I could have not had valet parking but on South Beach all they have is metered parking on the street. I was not expecting to pay an additional $114 for my 3 day business trip. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel. Very nice staff, they help you out with any problems you have. Beach is just over the street and the hotel is on Ocean Drive, where all Restaurants are - even then it's not noisy because of people outside. 2 Points I'd change are the noisy Aircon and there are no real curtains, so its not a 100% dark in the […] night. When you check in, you're given a list of amenities at the hotel such as beach towels, breakfast, afternoon snacks, $5 discount at the bar, etc. This list is represented as being a list of free benefits of the hotel. When I checked out of the hotel, however, the staff member asked if she should charge $45 to my credit card for amenitites on the list. […] After insisting that I was never told that there was a charge for these amenities, she relented, but I think they must often charge people for what is initially represented as being free. The hotel was nice. They always had bottled water sitting out which was helpful with the 90 degree weather. The beach is right across the street and there are plenty of resturants along the street. The room is very, very small. You can barely turn around. Overall the stay was nice!

Stay at the Winterhaven because of it's location. It wasn't that clean (mold on the shower curtain) and they would only give us 30 extra minutes for late checkout. But we got a discounted rate through hotels.com, the free breakfast was a nice perk, and the location can't be beat. Just don't think it's the Ritz.

Hotel is old (as all in Miami Beach) but nicely remodeled. We had an ocean front room on the 5th floor, from where we could the beach/ocean which was 100 mts away. The bathrooms was kind of small, but very clean. Same with bedding and pillows. Super clean! Many restaurants around, all $$ ranges We really enjoyed!

Hotel was nice. Small room, but was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. TV remote did not work, but otherwise friendly and comfortable and excellent location. There is a large Starbucks about a half a block from the hotel.

This Hotel is a very cool Art Deco hotel. It is in the prefect location, across the street from the beach, close to shopping on Collins Ave and Lincoln Rd. The staff was very helpful and nice. The Winterhaven was a nice hotel in a fantastic location. The location cannot be beat - right next to the beach and the Le Sandwicherie! You must have a sandwich - delicious! The beach chairs and towels were a nice touch from the hotel. The lobby was pretty and the snacks and breakfast were convenient and satisfying. The staff were accommodating, as […] well. Negatives: the bar was not so good, but with so many options who cares. My boyfriend said the rooftop terrace was a bit disappointing, and the rooms were TINY. The biggest negative for us was that the AC read 79 but wouldn't go below 73. That is a bit warm after a day in the sun, but manageable. The Winterhaven is a well-maintained hotel, it has preserved the art deco look inside and out. It is probly the best deal on Ocean Drive. It faces the Atlantic and is within easy walking distance of many, many restaurants and shops. The bedding is all white and comfortable. The bathroom sparkled with all-white tile and furnishings. If you want to stay across the beach and close to most of the sights. Great place. I went on a business trip and it did well in a pinch. No Parking. You have to use valet or municipal garage nearby. Great location! Across the street is the beach. Ate breakfast on the front patio. Close to shopping stores, restaurants...walked everywhere. No Pool, Large Bar or Restaurant in this hotel, which is what we wanted, but you can walk to them. Room clean, price is good. It was great, front desk folks were very nice too!

This is the second time we stayed at this Hotel, It is place in the Heart of South Beach good distance from Lincoln Rd and right in Ocean Dr. Just be aware that they do charge a $30.00 deposite for every day you stay plus a $12 Fee of a hotel surcharge for using unecesary Hotel stuff and their continetal breakfast. Everyone at Winterhaven is pleasant and helpful. I have stayed there about 10 times. It is convenient to Ocean Dr. and Lincoln Rd Mall. It is right across from the beach. Bartender Mirabel is a delight to be around and is a real people person.

Small art deco boutique hotel that I highly recommend. The lobby and rooms are clean and airy. Excellent staff. My only complaint is that the exterior of the hotel - and particularly its sign -needs sprucing up.
