The hotel experience was great, but be warned if you have a car. Parking at the hotel is an additional $46 per day/night. I was not expecting this so it would have been good to know. Other than this I loved this hotel and the location was perfect!

Great location close to Newburyport street and the T. We were disappointed with the service , size of the rooms and the condition of the rooms. The staff was not courteous or helpful. There was a mouse in the rm , even though they have us another room they did not help us with luggage to move in. The room was not ready. Hotel is right across the park. Very convinent and local. Subway station literally a block away. Great experience, very well kept and pleasant staff. Rooms are of a decent size, not sure if all rooms are build the same but my bedroom for 4 peoria had two full bathrooms inside, definetly a plus ;) Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in a great location and is a historic piece of Boston and it seems hotel history. The price and amenities offered the hotel was a great choice.

The saving graces of this hotel are definitely location, location, and location. On foot, we were within minutes of the theater district and Downtown Crossing, and just steps away from the Arlington train stop. We stayed in a room with a king bed, and it was a pretty good size. The bathroom left a lot to be desired, I don't think I've ever stayed in […] a place that didn't at least have a bathtub. Instead, there was just a drain on the floor (without any sort of barrier around it to keep the water contained) and a couple of shower heads (could only have one on at a time) in the corner. This made it difficult moving around/getting ready in the bathroom after a shower, as the floors were incredibly slippery and the drain was very slow. My only other complaint concerns the volume at which the heat came on. It was so loud that it startled my boyfriend and I awake multiple times though our stay, only to have us eventually just shut it off, despite the room not holding heat too well in the first place. The price wasn't bad for a quick stay in the city, but I'd probably try another hotel in the area before returning to this one. Very nice hotel close to many locations. Room was very clean but a little cramped and very warm had to turn heat off in the middle of the night. We would definitely stay here again.

This elegant hotel hasn't lost a step - I still got that classy feel of 'old Boston.' My fiance and I wanted to visit Boston on foot, and this hotel was literally just a few blocks from the Common (perfect for a morning run), Chinatown and shopping on Newbury street. The Park Plaza is a GREAT place to stay when in Boston. Location is perfect, rooms are clean, just an overall classy place. Strongly recommend!

The Park Plaza is an historic gem right where you want to be in Boston. Three subway stops from the Symphony, a street over from Boston Gardens and fine shopping, restaurants all around. Reasonable price for a lovely experience. Ask for a room on the Arlington Street side, or you may end up looking at a parking garage. THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT FOR THE ROOM WE STAYED IN. WOULD COME BACK AGAIN! THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT, YOU COULD WALK TO SO MANY RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING OR JUST TAKE A WALK IN THE PARK!! LOVED IT AND I HAVE BEEN TO BOSTON 5 TIMES!!

The room was nice- larger than I expected! Room service fir coffee in the morning was very prompt and reasonable. Small hiccup when checking in my credit card was accudentally dropped behind an area of the check-in desk that was not removable. Nice hotel, room was surprisingly spacious for a petite. Beds comfortable and seemed very clean. Only downsides were charging for the internet and expensive breakfast but there are other options outside the hotel nearby. Excellent locations, steps from a T stop making getting about very easy however all the main attractions are withing walking distance […] (Common, newbury street, prudential, downtown etc). I had a great time at the Park Plaza. It is located in a very nice, safe part of Boston and the hotel itself is very nice. I really liked that the hotel had a fitness facility. I can't say enough about the ability to control the temperature of your room. Lots of hotels say you can but, being a person who is only comfortable when a room is 80 degrees, […] can tell you that that is not always the case. It was here! My room had the two bathrooms that some reviewers have mentioned. Definitely appreciated, even though I was the only person in the room, I appreciated having the choice. The bed was amazing. Seriously. The shower was just fine, water pressure was fine, but if you're one of those people who is dying for an amazing bathroom, it's not luxurious. They were experiencing TV reception problems due to a new system and there was no solution - I was not happy with that.

For better or worse, it's pet friendly, which translated into a loud, barking dog that had been left alone in the afternoon as I was recovering from a hangover. A resulting floor-move request was granted immediately, though, so it was merely a slight hassle. Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and affordable. Great location, easy 4-5 block walk to back bay train station and the arlington T-stop is very close by. Highly recommend.

We took advantage of their 'Plaza Petite' deal to grab a weekend away. The room was small, but gorgeous - and perfectly clean and serviceable. After checkout I stayed in the lobby to do some work, and the staff were completely accommodating.

This hotel suited my needs in Boston just fine. The one thing was that the rooms are super tiny! I was happy I was in town by myself...it would have been crowded with another person! The convenience of making a reservation online and checking in on a whim was totally worth it but I guess I had a preconceived notion of the "Park Plaza" Boston and that notion did not match what we saw. The lobby was decent. The hotel bar was sufficient. Room service was fast and tasty. The halls and facilities were dated. We also had an incident in […] the middle of the night where it sounded as if someone was trying to break in via the through door- which was linked to a door which held the designation of 'private'. no pay-per-view annoying to pay for internet valet parking offered but there is literally public parking right across the street if u take the time to look.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Park Plaza from Jan. 20-22. We were in for the Bruins-Rangers game. We were upgraded to the 15th Floor of the Towers. The room was nice, though the view was awful. Phone system was slightly off (the message light was constantly on), and the room temperature was cold (63 degrees). The heat was very loud, esp. during […] the night. Room service was excellent -- both in terms of food and service. One major disappointment was that the TV lineup was changed dramatically, eliminating a number of really good channels, including HBO. It was fine excapt for the shower. The stall was about 18" deep and VERY SMALL. Anyone over 150 lbs would have spilled out,. As it was we had to stand sideways to keep the curtain inside.
