As a frequent traveler to Europe, I stay in many hotels. The Hotel Budapest was a nice walk/tram ride from Muskaver Ter. and accounted equally for the price. Equally still, it is in a decent neighborhood and across the street from the tram with plenty of cabs waiting. The food in the restaurant is pricy but not bad, however the presentation is fantastic. The Downside: If you forget to hang the Do Not Disturb placard, they will attempt to enter your room at 7:30 or 8am to clean. Also, the elevator has a mind of its own. The staff are fluent in english for the most part and some are helpful, however, most come off as thier hotel is too good for a backpacker. (Just older and no longer in to Hostels) On the European scale I give them about a 3.5 / 4 for being on top of things.

As one half of a young couple I picked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had a four star rating. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hotel was just a few minutes walk from the Mamut shopping malls which have plenty of shops, bars, restuarants and coffee shops. We stayed on the 13th floor - unlucky for some, but not us! The panoramic view was breathtaking. The only thing I will say is, don't forget to put the 'don not disturb' sign on your door if you like to sleep in past 9am, because this is the time when house keeping come around. The only downside to the hotel was the fact that the walls are paper thin, but other than that we had a fantastic stay and the city tax was about £5 for the week.

The Hotel reception staff were excellent in giving advice on travel around the City getting tickets for me and organising transport. Anything that we asked advice on they went out there way to help. buffet breakfast could have had more fruit.

The location of hotel is very good.It is on Buda side with hill in view. Tram and Bus stop in front of hotel and metro on walking distance. Shoping was near. Hotel service was excellent.Breakfast was included.

The hotel is ageing, but extremely well run, with a clear effort made to be friendly and helpful. It is well situated in a pleasant, hilly section of Buda, not too far from Castle Hill. Breakfast, rooms are not top quality, but are perfectly adequate and excellent value for the price of the rooms.

the hotel in general is of good condition. people at reception are kind and helpful. reception even provide money exchange service. hotel rooms not huge but clean and comfortable. tram stop right opposite to the hotel, easy access to public transportation.

Just been in Budapest on business. After searching for hotels to stay there, I have found the Danube Budapest. May look a bit out of city but it is quite misleading since the public transport round there is as good as it can be in Budapest. Easy reach of Moskva Ter, where there's a reasonable Shopping Centre and Tram, Buses and Tube lines to most of the city. You will barely need a taxi unless you are not into using public transport. The hotel externally and also on the corridors seems a bit outfdated but most Budapest Hotels are like that anyway unless you go to one of the few 5 stars that have already a new layout (even some 5 stars don't) but the rooms are clean, spacious and confortable. I stayed o nthe 13th Floor and could have a great view of the city as well as wireless connection (cost quite a bit and you pay it online but if you need it, it is there...). The staff is friendly and restaurant is good though the menu is quite limited. But they accommodate your tastes and will cook accordingly to your wishes. The only drawback is a lack of swimming pool and the fact that the sauna is charged apart. It is not a great sauna also so, if you really require a faciluty with this, please go to somewhere else or you will be disapointed. I spent 5 nights there and had a great time. Need to go back to Budapest again soon but will not search for other place to be.

Everything about the hotel was satisfactory except for the elevators. There were only 2 elevators (slow) to service 15 floors, each with 20 rooms. Under periods of heavy load, the elevators ran by no discernible algorithm - arbitrarily bypassing floors where people were waiting (and the button was lit) or changing direction when there were calls on higher numbered floors. People learned to get on the elevator even if it was going the wrong direction, because it was unlikely to stop. The breakfast buffet was quite reasonable and included in the room price. You can buy bus tickets from the souvenir shop but it has limited hours. Tickets are frequently checked on the subway and no transfers from the bus. A 7 day pass for tram/bus/metro costs HUF 3600 at the Moscow Square outside ticket booth (10 minute walk from the hotel - open during day). [The inside ticket booth will not sell more than a 3-day pass for HUF 3100.] Otherwise, single tickets can cost HUF 230 each and you might need 4 of them to go over to the center of town and back. Public transportation shuts down in the evening (about 11pm).

Nice hotel with helpful front desk. Breakfast was great and kept you going most of the day. Only down side - beds very uncomfortable and pillows like pancakes.

Very nice hotel, beautiful view of Budapest from upper level rooms (15 story hotel). Room was very nice. Only two elevators, so sometimes it took a while to get downstairs. Restaurant was average and often filled with tour groups. A little out of the way, but public transportation is excellent,so it was no problem

Friendly service, rooms with a beautiful view of Budapest. Delicious food.

Ett hotell som ligger på Buda sidan av floden, ligger inte så centralt. Men har en spårvagnshållplats precis utanför, eller så kan man ta taxi, kostar ungefär 80-120 kr att åka till Pest sidan.

Trevlig personal, kul byggnad, suverän utsikt (bodde på 13:e vån) o bra läge...

Broccoli soufleen i Cofe shoppen var superlækker, alle var smilende, venlige og meget servicemindede

Ett härligt hotell med supertrevlig service och bra rum. Det var mycket prisvärt och vi rekommenderar varmt hotellet.

Detta hotell ligger bra till i Budapest. Det är enkelt att hitta dit och spårvagnar och bussar passer just utanför. Servicen är bra, väldigt hjälpsam personal. Nackdelen för oss var att AC inte fungerade som den skulle. Men annars väldigt fräscha rum för ett bra pris.

Det første, som mødte os, var frontdiskmanager Joseph, som gav os et værelse, selvom klokken kun var 8 om morgenen på ankomstdagen. Det var kærkommet efter nattoget fra Prag, hvor vi ikke fik sovet meget. Det med aircondition skal nok modificeres til køleblæser. Vores første værelse var mod øst, med en fantastisk udsigt over Donau og borgen. Det var dog alt for varmt med direkte sol, så vi fik et mere temepreret værelse mod nord - igen service! Vores eneste øf, var morgenmadsbuffeten, hvor variation er et fremmedord. Til sidst gad vi simpelthen ikke spise af den. Men vi var nok også lidt for godt vant efter en luksusophold i Prag først. Jeg vil igen fremhæve personalets service. Vi fik tilrettelagt vandreture af dem, ligesom de bookede burtur til Danau-knæet for os.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Da unser Zimmer zu laut war,durften wir uns noch drei andere anschauen,bis wir fündig wurden und damit sehr zufrieden waren. Der deutschsprechende sehr freundliche Herr an der Rezeption hat uns auch noch bei anderen Dingen sehr geholfen: Beschaffung von Opernkarten z.b. Das Zimmer war schön,sauber,in Ordnung. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Frühstücksbuffet war nicht besonders abwechslungsreich:keine Früchte u.a. Aber bei dem günstigen preis kann man nicht alles haben. Trotzdem: Beim nächsten mal gerne wieder

pas de petit déjeuner européen, très copieux pour les saucisses, légumes etc... minuscule croissant sec! Pour les réservations en ligne, nous avons un passeport pour circuler dans l'hôtel. je n'ai pas testé le sauna car je ne savais si j'avais l'accès. Vente de tickets de bus et arrêt tramway devant donc très commode.

Hotel im großen und ganzen okay. Personal spricht Deutsch. Bar allerdings nicht zu empfehlen, v.a. wegen der Cocktails. Großes Frühstücksbuffet mit guter Auswahl

Hôtel très abordable : première tranche de prix. Hôtel assez bien situé : 4-5mn de tram pour rejoindre la station de métro Moskva Ter, puis 5 de métro pour rejoindre le centre même de la capitale). Hôtel symptahique : bon accueil, personnel souriant, change (très important), petit-déj copieux et pas mauvais, chambre sympathique (juste un peu défraichie). Conclusions : - Parfait pour jeune couple ou pour petit groupe qui veule avant tout profiter de la ville sans trop dépenser. - Très bof pour les senior.

Guenstige Lage mit guter Aussicht, sehr gute Kueche, zivile Preise, nur das Fruehstueck koennte etwas aufgepeppt werden: Toaster und Vollkornbroetchen.

Haben uns in diesem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt
