Easy to locate. Good customer service. Hotel reps very helpful.

first off when i walked in the room it smelled nice so i thought it would be ok. then i noticed the leaning refridgerator and the tub was stained so i couldnt tell if it was clean or not. the toilet barely flushed and there was less then half a roll to T.P. the digital clock had the wrong time so i set it to 5:50 p.m. and when i woke in the morning it still said 5:50 p.m. the pool was not blue but it wasnt green either, somewhere in between. overall if you have no where else to stay and short on money this is your place. next time i will splurge the extra 25$ dollars and get a nicer hotel.

The A/C unit was broken, but it did manage to keep the room at 80 which was better than 100 outside. I reported the problem, but the staff didn't seem too interested in having my party moved to another room or getting the repairs taken care of.

There were roaches all over the room, on the walls, in the beds, in the refrigerator. The outlets weren't working. So we asked to change rooms and the parking lot was empty so there should have been plenty rooms available. So they gave us a smoking room saying that was the only thing available. My friend that was traveling with me has cystic fibrosis and shouldn't be in that environment. The smoking room that we were moved too also had it's set of problems. The air conditioner was spraying water like a sprinkler. We also found bed bugs in our beds and the blankets had many cigarette burns on it to the point of being useless. To top it all off, a roach crawled in my bag and came out in my car while driving down the rode!!

We initially were given a room with a non-functioning air conditioner (and it was 102 degrees outside), a bathtub that would not drain, and a broken iron that stained a brand new dress. We toughed out the air conditioner for a couple of hours thinking it would just take a while to cool off, but eventually it became unbearable. I called the front desk to ask for maintenance to repair our problems, but maintenance was "unavailable". The front desk advised they would give us another room. I asked for something close, since we were travelling with three children, one being an infant. I was told nothing close to us was available because all the housekeeping staff had called in sick and no rooms were clean. So we pack all our luggage back up to move to the first floor in another building, after I had to go to the front desk, because they wouldn't bring us the new key. The new room had a functioning air conditioner, iron, and bathtub, but half the electrical outlets wouldn't work and there was mold growing on the wall in the bathroom. All in all, we were not spending much time at the hotel, so we opted just to tough it out. The next morning, we requested a late check out at 4:00pm. Considering all the issues we had gone through, we thought this wasn't an unreasonable request. We were told the latest we could check-out would be 12:30 or we would be charged for half a day. I couldn't see spending any more money on this hotel, so I didn't argue and we checked out early. This may not always be the case, we may have just had a bad experience, but I will not be staying here again.

For the price I paid, I got more than I expected - a fridge and microwave in the room, a well-stocked coffee pot, and a breakfast bar that had several items.

This was a Clarion until about a year ago. The hotel has many mtg rooms/conf areas but had not been maintained to Clarion conditions and so got majorly downgraded to the Econolodge brand. Like many hotels in the area, they took a lot of hard wear & tear during the hurricane's a few yrs ago when people were living there. The pool is full of a putrid green water. Seriously needs an overhaul but was the best $$$ deal in the area. The room was clean and functional.

needs a complete overall, and a green pool is not exactly a great thing to have....personally I prefer my pool water to be blue

My room was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly but the hotel seemed almost empty and there were other choices near by such as a Quality Inn, Days Inn etc. I am not sure if the price would be competitive but if so I would probably prefer them because I felt like I was almost the only customer in this hotel. Good for the business traveler such as myself but I would not recommend for a family vacation.

overall an okay place to crash. Minor issues such as, no AC in halls, so when you opened your door the heat just melted your makeup off. And the toilet was broken, but my husband was able to fix it, otherwise okay. Easy access to highway and the bed is was big (but not comfy).

The room had a fridge/microwave which was great, but the in room safe did not work nor was the staff willing to fix it and/or offer us a room with a working safe. The cable was fuzzy on most channels and we noticed that it was on a splitter with the jack was pulled away from the wall. Given the situation with the safe we did not bother to complain about the cable as we would not be there to watch it. Most of the lights in the room did not work; the sockets were broken and the bulbs were taped to the socket! This seemed like a fire hazard. The floors were so dirty that when getting into the shower, we created black footprints. The sheets had cigarette burns in them and the room smelled musty. The free breakfast was comparable to most hotels but the condition of the dining room was less than favorable, sticky tables, peeling paint, missing trim, dirt filled corners, etc.

The hotel was conveniently located for my needs, was very clean, and was comfortable. My big complaint was the 45 minutes it took to check in at 11:00 at night when we arrived. One room was located with no problem. The second room was not logged on their computer and the front desk didn't know what to do other than ask for my VISA again to pay for another room. I refused as the room had already been paid for once and I had produced the receipt I had printed from the online booking. It took 45 minutes for them to decide to give me the room and figure out their billing issue themselves.

I was VERY impressed with the hotel, especially for the price we paid for it!!! The location was great and the continental breakfast was AWESOME!!!! There was however a litle problem. At 3AM I was wakened by a knock on the door....then again a banging less than 20 minutes later!!! The 2nd time I was able to see who it was and realized that it was another tenant. Although the hotel staff were not responsible, I feel that if they were to have had security guards patrolling the premises that maybe it could have been avoided. Other than that I had a GREAT, comfortable stay!!!

Sign was only a banner covering the former hotel affiliation, which did not show up at all at night. They need a new one quickly! We looked for it about 20 minutes before shopping at a service station to ask about the location. Would definitely recommend writing down the Econolodge's phone number to be prepared. The staff and pool area were very nice. The breakfast included hot biscuits and tasty gravy, which was more than expected.

Only big problems we had with the hotel was not having the name of hotel displayed where it could be seen. It took us just over an hour to find it, there were no street numbers in sight.

Our room was so dirty, where I leaned against the head board with my head left a spot in the dust, it was gross, and the floor in our bathroom was really gross and the bottome of the tub was nasty with hairs, it had not been washed, the smell was like a wet dog in the room. I have never stayed in such a nasty, stinky room in my life and I have traveled working for Georgia Pacific. There is no excuse for this. I cannot believe we were even charged for this room. The breakfast was grease filled gravy and hard as a rock biscuits, we had cereal and then we saw the hair in the cereal. My goodness who can goof with cereal.
