This hotel was dirty, old and seemed broken down. The security doors didn't shut, the water in my rooms tub ran non stop and their was a bug on the wall. I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again!

Found 5 roaches in our room upon arrival. Called front desk and they moved us to a new room. New room the hot water did not work until that am, then the hot water would come and go while showering. Breakfast bar was dirty and food was well disgusting looking, I was too afraid to try at all after finding the roaches. Spend the extra $10-$20 and stay […] else where. Ler mais

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MEDIOCRE STAY IN A MOTEL THAT IS CENTRALLY LOCATED, THIS IS FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LUXURIOUS STAY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THERE ARE MANY BETTER HOTELS/MOTELS VERY CLOSE BY. BUT YOU WILL DEFINITELY PAY MORE. ECONOLODGE HAS AN AVERAGE BREAKFAST AND THE ROOMS ARE NOT THE BEST. THEY ARE COMFORTABLE THOUGH.

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very pleasant.

A little bit old and saffy but I'm a biker , have seen worse and the price was right

IF YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR THE LAP OF LUXURY AND JUST WANT A NICE QUIET ROOM TO RELAX IN, YOU HAVE YOUR HOTEL. BEDS ARE COMFORTABLE, BREAKFAST IS NOT ALL THAT. BUT OVERALL, GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE.

The room was cockroach and other small creepy crawly insect infested. Though it was listed as a non-smoking room, it reeked of stale cigarette smoke and other unidentified odors. After the first night I was so congested I could hardly breathe. When we arrived and went to our room the hallways were extremely hot and moldy smelling. We entered our room and turned on the AC - it had to of been 100 degrees in there. The ceiling and walls near the AC was cracking, peeling and moldy. The bottom of the toilet had dried pee stains, the bathub and bath walls was extremely scummy, when i washed my […] hands and touched the towel hanging up to dry them the towel rak came straight out of the wall (YOU could obviously tell it had been broken and just pushed back in wall carefully hanging towels on it ) after being in our room for 3 1/2 hours the AC was not cooling at all so we called front desk at 12 midnight requesting another room due to lack of AC not cooling.......so they stuck us across the hallway in yet another room filthy, fallen apart, AC half way cooling and bathroom hardware tore up. For what it cost us a night - it is pathetic...........Ive stayed in Travelodge at a lesser amount a nt and my room was cooled and ready for us when we got there.......clean and very well maintained.....smelled fresh and the customer service was superior! This was a comfortable hotel for the price. If I had to go back to Alex I would have no issues with staying there again.

The location is very convenient to business area. It definitely needs renovation and maintenance work. Towel bar in bathroom was completed ripped off the wall. Room was very clean and the a/c worked great in over 100 temperature. Staff was friendly. Was ok for business stay.

This hotel had the three things that I needed. Close to the airport with shuttle service, clean, affordable and had fridge and also microwave in room. For the person who wants to be close to the airport for a night this is the value deal. Oh and the attendants were all very nice to me.

I'm overall satisfied wiith my stay for the money it was well worth it. I would go there again

The pictures are deceiving! The room was horrible: there was a hole in the ceiling that was letting warm air in, it took all night for the a/c to finally get it to a decent temp to sleep, very poor service by the ethnic group that owns it, bad surroundings, requested a non-smoking room but the room smelled of old cigarettes. Dont expect to get a decent […] breakfast....you will be dissapointed! We will not stay here again! Unfortunately, it was our only option due to the 4th July weekend activities in the area. This hotel was horrible.... I even have a picture of a cockroach that was crawling across the ceiling that I would post it I could. Plus several light bulbs were burnt out. I went to talk to someone when I was to check out an waited at counter for 15 minutes for service then ended up leaving with no satisfaction. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to […] anyone. The staff members were efficient and nice. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The Econo Lodge in Alexandria is a good value.

I was oinly in this hotel 15 minutes before I took my suitcases and left. Upon arrival I was disgusted by the looks of the outside. When I got inisde it was worse. NO elevator and my room was on the second floor. I requested a non smoking room, yet my room reeked of cigarette smoke. Like I said this was not what we expected at the price we paid. The room was not ready for moved in nor was the employee friendly. Staff was sleeping on the sofa in the lobby area when check in. The room was not clean during our entire stay. Extra towels had to come from another room and then they were dirty. We took pictures of everything to show that […] we are not lying. Would not recommend to know one else. We was told that the manager would be in at 7:30am and that was a lie. the manager don't work weekends so we had wait until Monday morning to called back to the hotel and tell our experience. the grounds was not kept up look like know one has kept it up so therfore we could amagine what the inside looked like. No place to put your plate while getting breakfast. Part of bathroom door was cut away to clear the toilet when when opening & closing. Dripping Faucets. We rented 2 rooms, the other was fine.

It was a good business class hotel, good hot breakfast. It is an older hotel and could use some renovation, however it is very spacious. Staff is friendly and helpfull

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Not fancy, but the room was very nice, clean, quite large, everything worked. The breakfast was very good--eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy, waffles, cereal--much more than a continental breakfast. This hotel was very convenient to the interstate and main thoroughfares. I have two show dogs and had no problem registering […] with them (for a very reasonable fee). Compared to Econo-lodges I've stayed in elsewhere it was off the charts, eleven on a scale of ten. Overall, room was comfortable. We were just stopping over and needed a place to sleep. Having children, we always choose to stay ion a room that offers breakfast over one that does not as this can save us quite a bit of $$. Breakfast was not very good at all (cold biscuts and a few donuts, waffle iron was gross). We ended up having to pay for breakfast […] somewhere else. Was a decent value for the price paid, but would have paid more for a hotel that had a good breakfast. The hotel is older but in good condition, i mean if you plan on complaining about a hotel, it doesn't much matter what I put here. But we had a good nites sleep, the beds were pretty comfortable, the room was clean, it could use some updating but for the price I don't think it can be beat in the area it is in.

The place is falling apart with no apparent upkeep.

I checked in around 9:30pm and there were only a couple of small lights over the desk. The rest of the lobby was pitch black. The bed was totally uncomfortable and I woke up tired and not rested a bit. On a positive the room was well air conditioned. I stayed in this property years ago when it was managed by another company and it was one of the best […] hotels in Alexandria. That is no longer the case. The upkeep of the grounds and outside of the hotel is not being done, period. My room was much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing than the appearance of the outside. I was so sketched out, if I were not the assertive female I am, I wouldn't have kept my reservation out of fearing for my safety. The air conditioner worked great, thank goodness. The ice […] machines were either very old or just plain dirty. And don't let the website fool you into believing there is a workout facility, 3 hundred year old pieces of equipment does not a gym make. Ler mais

We were just traveling through Alexandria, and needed a place to sleep for 7 hours, so we wheren't looking for the nicest place, just something inexpensive. So based on that criteria, we were satisfied with this selection. The room was being remodelled, and showed it...

Easy to locate. Good customer service. Hotel reps very helpful.

first off when i walked in the room it smelled nice so i thought it would be ok. then i noticed the leaning refridgerator and the tub was stained so i couldnt tell if it was clean or not. the toilet barely flushed and there was less then half a roll to T.P. the digital clock had the wrong time so i set it to 5:50 p.m. and when i woke in the morning […] it still said 5:50 p.m. the pool was not blue but it wasnt green either, somewhere in between. overall if you have no where else to stay and short on money this is your place. next time i will splurge the extra 25$ dollars and get a nicer hotel. The A/C unit was broken, but it did manage to keep the room at 80 which was better than 100 outside. I reported the problem, but the staff didn't seem too interested in having my party moved to another room or getting the repairs taken care of.

There were roaches all over the room, on the walls, in the beds, in the refrigerator. The outlets weren't working. So we asked to change rooms and the parking lot was empty so there should have been plenty rooms available. So they gave us a smoking room saying that was the only thing available. My friend that was traveling with me has cystic fibrosis […] and shouldn't be in that environment. The smoking room that we were moved too also had it's set of problems. The air conditioner was spraying water like a sprinkler. We also found bed bugs in our beds and the blankets had many cigarette burns on it to the point of being useless. To top it all off, a roach crawled in my bag and came out in my car while driving down the rode!! Ler mais

We initially were given a room with a non-functioning air conditioner (and it was 102 degrees outside), a bathtub that would not drain, and a broken iron that stained a brand new dress. We toughed out the air conditioner for a couple of hours thinking it would just take a while to cool off, but eventually it became unbearable. I called the front desk […] to ask for maintenance to repair our problems, but maintenance was "unavailable". The front desk advised they would give us another room. I asked for something close, since we were travelling with three children, one being an infant. I was told nothing close to us was available because all the housekeeping staff had called in sick and no rooms were clean. So we pack all our luggage back up to move to the first floor in another building, after I had to go to the front desk, because they wouldn't bring us the new key. The new room had a functioning air conditioner, iron, and bathtub, but half the electrical outlets wouldn't work and there was mold growing on the wall in the bathroom. All in all, we were not spending much time at the hotel, so we opted just to tough it out. The next morning, we requested a late check out at 4:00pm. Considering all the issues we had gone through, we thought this wasn't an unreasonable request. We were told the latest we could check-out would be 12:30 or we would be charged for half a day. I couldn't see spending any more money on this hotel, so I didn't argue and we checked out early. This may not always be the case, we may have just had a bad experience, but I will not be staying here again. Ler mais

For the price I paid, I got more than I expected - a fridge and microwave in the room, a well-stocked coffee pot, and a breakfast bar that had several items.

This was a Clarion until about a year ago. The hotel has many mtg rooms/conf areas but had not been maintained to Clarion conditions and so got majorly downgraded to the Econolodge brand. Like many hotels in the area, they took a lot of hard wear & tear during the hurricane's a few yrs ago when people were living there. The pool is full of a putrid […] green water. Seriously needs an overhaul but was the best $$$ deal in the area. The room was clean and functional. Ler mais

needs a complete overall, and a green pool is not exactly a great thing to have....personally I prefer my pool water to be blue

Accueil très sympa. Toutefois, nos chambres étaient situées dans un couloir, très mal éclairé, et sous un escalier. Pas très agréable.
