Days Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Near Downtown

Dirty and loud teens! Broken ice machines, pool area was freezing cold, no tips on the pool sticks, missing tiles in the bath room shower, stained floors!!

The shower was gross. The hot water only lasted for about 3 minutes before turning ice cold and then back to scolding hot. We asked for towels but had to wait an hour to go down to get them.

So the two different branded hotels using the same front desk was minorly confusing. Look up to the sign in back, then go to the correct person. The staff was friendly, and asked you which one you were looking for when you approached the desk. Breakfast was good, and they had several people working to keep up on it with a busy weekend. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were good, but the shower could have used a heavy duty cleaning to get some deep dirt removed. It's not like I was in contact with the shower walls, so it wasn't a deal killer to me. Heater worked fine, didn't need the A/C. It covered my needs of bed and shower and included an acceptable breakfast. Its not fancy, but the price isn't either.

Well first off dirty towels on the floor of bathroom When we checked in. Then I ask for extra pillows at 8pm I’m the first night and never got them.

Carpet was badly stained and so were some of the sheets. Bathroom was redone except for shower which had dirty tile and didn’t drain well. Front desk was awesome and friendly. Maid staff took over 3 hours to bring toilet paper to the room. In the morning before check out time, maid staff would hound you to see if you were leaving yet. Finally when I was leaving 15 mins before checkout, when I asked if I was checking out, I said yes and they asked what room #. Each one of the maids asked that I passed did this. I understand they have rooms to clean, but it was excessive. Overall a decent place to sleep after a couple of concerts. Breakfast was typical. Did not use the workout room or either pool.
