What a lovely warm welcome we got from Sushma, Amer and front of house Menash, they made us feel we were part of their family. We stayed for 3 weeks, our thought was to use Khatu Haveli as a base, then traveling to other destinations, with Menash sorting out our train,Taj Mahal tickets and hotels etc, Virinda who was very attentive in the dining room, made us a lovely packed lunch when we had an early start. and the rest of the staff were fantastic as well. We ate in the dining room most nights and the food was great. I became ill with a chest infection and lovely Sushma, who was just like a little sister to me, took me straight to her doctor who prescribed medication, no hanging about waiting for an a appointment there, because of this we only got to stay away for 1 night instead of the 4 or 5 nights as planned. The bed was very comforable and our suite was beautiful furnished in traditional style. A tranquil haven in a vibrant and bustling part of the city and within a few minutes walk of the Bazaars. We felt more like family than guests and was very sad when the time came to leave. We thoroughly reccommend Khatu Haveli for your stay in Jaipur.
Khatu Haveli is a heritage gem tucked away off a bazaar just inside the walls of old Jaipur. The guest house forms one courtyard of an extended family home of several courtyards. It exudes charm, good taste and excellent renovation. A friendly and pleasant staff are led by owners the Brigadier and his wife -a charming couple. The cooking is the tastiest I've had since arrival in India. The friend who recommended it said "perfect" and my word it is!
Khatu Haveli is a small hotel in the middle of the Pink City. There is an outstanding view of the city from the roof deck. Breakfast (included with room) was cooked to order every morning and was delicious. I had dinner at the hotel 3 nights (not included with the room) -- each night was delicious and a chance to compare notes with other guests. The staff was very eager to please - whether by bringing beverages to the roof deck, arranging transportation, etc. Each room has a small refrigerator, and bottled water is readily available (for a small fee). Wifi was usually adequate, although I did not try streaming. I had the feeling that I was a VIP, staying old India. I would absolutely return to stay here again if I were returning to Jaipur. Disclaimer - The stairs are very tall and steep (about 11 inches per stair), so if you are mobility impaired you should consider an alternate accommodation, as the dining room is on the first, not ground floor.
The property is very clean and neat, looks like recently upgraded. However, the location is in the old city and is off from the main street( and bazar). There is no lift and 3rd-floor rooms can be a good hike.
For the price this is excellent value for money. The hotel arranged a ‘tuc tuc’ guide called Dilshan who was excellent.
Lovely hospitality, very knowledgeable about local area , the city of Jaipur and how to travel around Rajasthan in general
Excellent stay at this traditional Indian guest house. Rooms were quiet, cool and comfortable and they have a very nice roof terrace overlooking Jaipur’s rooftops and up towards the Tiger Fort. They serve ice cold beer on the terrace which is very welcome as not many places in Jaipur sell alcohol. The set menu dinner they offer is very tasty as is the breakfast (the latter is included in the room cost). They also have relationships with two auto rickshaw drivers, Rahul and Sonnu, who are very reliable and good value for money (they will take you to tailors, jewellers etc where they get commission but these are worth visiting if you plan to shop in Jaipur).
Lovely hotel with delicious meals, owners are really nice.
Amazing so well looked after
BEST HOTEL IN JAIPUR, IT HAS NICE VIEW AND THE HOTEL COST IS VERY EFFECTIVE
