Mantra Crown Towers

Good motel close to everything you want to do at the coast.

Great spot. Everything within walking distance. Clean spacious room and friendly helpful staff. Overall a great experience

We stayed for 4 nights as I was having an operation, we got in at 8:20pm and reception was shut, so had to ring (not as straight forward as checking in normally), then we left at 6am the next morning for op, by time we got back at 3pm our access had all been denied. When we got to our room the shower hadn't been cleaned, still had used soap and sand in it and a bit of the door on the shower was broken. The view was lovely from our room however the curtains are terrible, day light from 3am each day, very hard to sleep. Should have block out blinds.We have been been however wouldn't stay again.

The building is a bit dated. The apartment was furnished on a shoestring budget, I suspect the very bare minimum to meet Mantra's requirements. Uncomfortable bed, plain metal dining furniture, ripped carpeting, tiny tiny tv in the bedroom, poorly draining shower. It wasn't clear to me that Wi-Fi was extra (it was listed in the amenities, but evidently Wi-Fi and "free Wi-Fi" are not the same thing!) Hotels.com didn't make that clear enough. Room was not serviced once in 11 nights. Late check out was refused, even an extra hour from 10 to 11) was turned down, and then the room wasn't touched until almost 2PM after I scrambled to vacate in time. (I moved to a friend's room on the same floor until my airport ride arrived at 2). Pool area code for kids, but that's the only plus. I left this property dissatisfied with Mantra, worth Hotels.com and with Crown Towers. You're better off elsewhere!
