This was my first time booking accommodation in Seoul, as I usually stay at my family’s house. I didn’t know what to expect before checking into this property, but the experience was disappointing.
On the 4th floor, there were 42 extremely small rooms, closets would be a more accurate description. Each measured about 2m x 3m, with no windows, and included a tiny shower. If you suffer from claustrophobia, this setup would be unbearable.
The kitchen offered food throughout the day: eggs, bread, cheese, bologna, butter, jam, juice, Coke, 7-Up, Chapagetti, and Samyang ramen. There were some old apples, but once they were gone, the staff said they wouldn’t be restocked from the farm.
The biggest issue was the management. At check-in, the manager was overly casual and failed to explain the amenities or house rules clearly. For example, when we washed dishes and left them on the drying rack, he told us we should have put them away. He insisted he had explained this rule, but he hadn’t. His micromanaging style made us feel uncomfortable.
We had booked and paid for three nights, but after the first day we decided to move to another hotel as soon as our schedule allowed.
