Collins Hotel

The Collins Hotel is well hidden down an aisle between a jeweller's shop and a restaurant. Reception is small and I thought 'whoops, I've made a mistake with this booking'. How wrong I was. When I got to the room it was a wee apartment - separate bedroom, shower/toilet, sitting room with a TV, and a full kitchen with cutlery, crockery, cooking implements, just what one needs for a few days away, particularly of one doesn't want to keep eating out. I was glad to be wrong. The location is convenient to trams and trains, and if they take your fancy, department shops are close by as are restaurants. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

It was ok, a bit out dated and the carpet doesn’t fit the room and when paying nearly $200 a night it would be nice to have something other than a brick wall to look at out your windows

We were very satisfied with our experience at Collins Hotel. Staff very helpful.

My partner found the bed uncomfortable, which was unusual as we had stayed here before and not had an uncomfortable experience. There was a large step up to the wet area which may be an issue for some. Otherwise a spacious apartment room.
