Shopping in Koh Rong is limited to a very small number of spots. The island is more renowned as a remote tropical island escape rather than a modern shopping scene you’d find in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. As you enjoy the laidback beaches around the island, there are only a few convenience stores where you can grab basic needs like a drink and snacks.
If you plan to go to Koh Rong, be sure to bring a good amount of cash with you, as there are virtually nowhere on the island that accepts credit card payments. There’s also a very slim chance that the very few ATMs can accept your cards.
Koh Rong is certainly no shopaholic’s paradise as there are next to no shops on the island, other than a few basic convenience stores.
