"Great place lovely food, I will stay again"

"We were moved here unexpectedly after another booking was cancelled without notice (grr). However we were happy to end up here, and a very friendly lady checked us in. The room (no. 3) was spacious, clean, and had a nice comfy bed. Decor was slightly quirky but had its own feel. It was very VERY quiet when we returned to the accommodation at 11pm (pub next door shuts at 10.30pm) and we had a good night's sleep. "Ideal for a one night stay, clean and quiet."

"Large bedroom and recently modernised en-suite. All clean and tidy. Nice and warm (4 day stay in January). Breakfasts were excellent and the food available for the evening meals in the pub part of the hotel was also good. All of the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The car park is big. Breakfast does not start until 7.30am. You order it from the menu the night before and it was always ready for 7.30 for me, but I was there on business it left me quite tight for getting to my meeting...

"Check in supposed to be 4pm and still trying to contact landlord at 4.30pm to gain access. Smoke detector off wall and sat on stairs, leaky radiator with a glass under to catch drips, damaged flooring. Dirty throughout. Not good."
