Moonrise Hotel - St. Louis

How do I go back to regular hotels now? Excellent place with the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting St. Louis for business or pleasure.

My wife and I really like the hotel. The staff and the hotel was excellent. We had never been to the Delmar loop, but did not care for the area. We did not feel safe walking around at night.

The hotel was great. The rooftop bar is super cool with a wonderful view. The room was clean, comfy and quite hip. The only complaint was that I was quite rudely awakened to the sound of incessent hammering at about 8AM that did not stop before we checked out at noon. I would have liked to enjoy my comfy sleep in that bed!

I really enjoyed the Moonrise Hotel. The bed was so comfortable, and the room service breakfast was delicious. The hotel seemed a little noisy, but there was a sound machine in our room, and that helped us to sleep soundly. The bathroom was not what I had hoped for, but only because there was not a lot of counter space, and I had to keep my shower essentials […] on the floor of the shower. I liked the roof top bar (the view was great), but I feel the crowd ruined the atmosphere a lot. Anyone can go to the bar, and as hotel guests, we could not find anywhere to sit. We preferred the Blueberry Hill bar just down the street. Parking was a mess at the Moonrise. There is valet parking, but for the price, I would expect there to be covered parking and not just a roped off section of the public parking lot. The rest of the parking is open to the public, and if there is an event going on near by, you may not get a free spot. The hotel is located in the Loop, which is a charming collection of vintage shops, restaurants, bars, and cute boutiques, but the atmosphere definitely brings in the "hipster" crowd. The hotel is just a few minute drive from Forest Park, which was really nice. Overall, the hotel was pretty much what I expected for the price (which was more than what I usually go for). Ler mais

Very nice hotel, excellent location, and great service!!

Great location to walk to dinner or drinks. Party on the rooftop after sun down, jump on the Metrolink and go to the baseball game, downtown, casinos, eastside, airport, etc..... A really nice clean interesting hotel for those looking for some suprises and adventure.

We rolled in to see Chuck Berry across the street at Blueberryhill, and got in late. We were starved after driving for 4 hours and happy to find a first class restaurant and bar open late.

had never been to st. louis before, so checked into this hotel based on reviews. located in the trendy university district, this is an excellent boutique hotel, a vibe very much like a W hotel. Rooms are very clean, and current. very comfortable beds with high thread count linen. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a great hotel with a super rooftop bar. My only complaint from our recent stay is that the shower stall is quite small. A bit more room would have been good.

The staff are amazing, the rooms great, interesting neighborhood. We stay at the Moonrise on every trip to St. Louis....highly recommend this hotel!

The staff provided us with excellent service especially giving directions on how to get to our various destinations during our "sisters" weekend. They even made reservations for us at a quality restaurant on The Hill and knew which one had gluten free pasta available! The Loop area was also a fun place to stay, eat and shop.

We booked 2 rooms at the Moonrise Hotel in the Loop in St. Louis for my 30th Birthday. This place is an 8 story boutique hotel with a lunar theme. It has themed rooms, restaurant, and roof top patio bar with an amazing view. The service was stellar and everyone polite and professional. Our rooms were comfortable, spacious, and modern. The bed was extremely […] comfortable. When we walked into the room I was surprised with balloons and a Birthday card from the staff with all of the staffs' signatures and two free drink tickets!! I was blown away by this. We had a few drinks at the restaurant bar before going out and the bartender was nice and knowledgeable. We ended up at the rooftop bar later, which was a little busy but the server was nice and music and drinks were good. Valet was excellent and quick and the front desk clerk got us in and out quickly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near the loop. It would also be great for a romantic weekend. Check out the Pinup Bowl while you're there. The moonrise was amazing! Great service, everyone was super nice. The food is delicious! 24 hour room service. We went to a show at the pageant which is litterly 50 feet from the hotel so it was convient. And we had time to walk around the downtown shops. The whole experience was simply perfect!

I especially like staying at unique boutique hotels, and The Moonrise did not disappoint. As other reviewers have said, the bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows are really big (ask for flatter ones at the front desk if you think you'll have issues sleeping on them). The room was really clean and larger than I had expected. There was a nifty […] white noise machine on one of the bedside tables that was really great. We didn't have any sound issues, but you could hear hallway doors opening and closing occasionally (typical of all hotels) and we heard a dog bark once and only once. Anyway, it's a very nice hotel. I had also thought of staying at The Four Seasons, but am glad that we decided to stay here. Ler mais

Beautiful hotel with a very attentive staff. The location is handy to the U City loop (Delmar) and, to a lesser degree, the West End. The hotel restaurant is top shelf as one will notice as it is frequented by the locals and the Wash U. crowd. The surrounding neighborhood, particularly east and north, is pretty dicey, so a word of caution to runners […] and explorers. This hotel is really perfect if you're visiting Washington University, a short walk away. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room (2 Queen) and bathroom. Great value for the money and a nice restaurant attached to the hotel. Beds and pillows were fabulously comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful in pointing us to nearby restaurants, […] parks and back to the airport. WOuld love to come back and hang on the rooftop patio when it's warm enough to be open! Hotel was very clean and fun to stay in. A lot of places to eat and fun area to just walk around and enjoy the neighborhood. Food in the Eclipse Restaurant was expensive, other than that the food was pretty good.

Perfect location if you are going to the Pageant Theater, literally next door! Staff was top rate, very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel!

The Moonrise Hotel has the most comfortable bed in the world... We really enjoyed are night here, the hotel is very modern with awesome design features. The staff were helpful and friendly, plus the hotel is perfect for shows at the Pagent.

Excellent. Clean and comfortable.

First of all, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The decor is all moon/space stuff which gives it a fun feel. It includes a well stocked fitness center. The food is fantastic (both room service and the attached Eclipse restaurant). While there is no complimentary breakfast, the food is reasonable and delicious. The price I got on […] hotels.com was the most reasonable I could find in St Louis at the time. The nightlife was great, having lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. It is also located right next to forest park, washington university, and a train line that will take you downtown. it's also right next door to an old movie theater and a concert hall. Much nicer than staying in the usual St Louis spots -- none of the dreariness of downtown. Nice vibe at the hotel, too -- possibly a bit clubby, but never too loud for us. We did have some very loud neighbors one night, but the staff quieted them down quickly -- which we appreciated.

Very nice modern hotel, very convenient to clubs and restaurants. Loud music playing on terrace bar can be heard in rooms. There are no closets in the rooms.

When I arrived at the hotel it was everything I expected and more. Everyone in the hotel was exceptionaly polite. I absolutely loved staying there, and definately plan on staying again. I will definately be recommending this hotel to many other's.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this hotel! The rooms are comfortable, well maintained and just great!! Free internet, VERY reasonably priced room service and a roof-top bar that is THE place to hang out at in the Spring and Summer! The only slight negative is the $17 per day valet service - the parking lot is literally 100 feet away and while you can park in […] the free area of it, that fills up very quickly as there isn't a lot of parking in this popular downtown neighborhood. Everything else here is so fairly priced, I just don't get the high fee for this not so "high value" service. That being said, i cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!! Very clean, which is usually the most important aspect of a room for me. The hotel's restaurant is really good as well.

This is a very cute boutique style hotel. At check in they greeted us with margaritas! How cool is that? We stayed there and went next door to the Pageant to watch a concert. I saw on the map it was close but it only took 20 seconds from door to door to walk over. They have a nice hotel bar that we hung out in after the show. I would definitely stay […] there again! Love this hotel. It is in a great location with restaurants, shopping, night life close by. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant. Rooms are modern and very comfortable. I would recommend it to my friends and plan to come again.

On the way to Indiana for Christmas, we spent the night here. Service, rooms, and surroundings were all A-1. Eclipse, the restaurant, is to die for. The whimsical lunar decor is very well done.
