Great rooms, good bed and bedding, very friendly staff. The location is excellent for those needing good access to downtown and the sights of downtown.

Great downtown location. Near subway. Nice interior and rooms.

The hotel staff are exceptional, and the hotel was conveniently located for all my meetings. Valet Parking was a little overprice, but that's what you get when you are downtow Toronto. Definitely a place I would like to return to and stay an extra day or two for leisure.

We chose this hotel over Xmas because the weather was great allowing us to visit relatives . WHAT THEY DIDNT TELL WAS THAT THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DINNING AT THE HOTEL,NOT EVEN A COFFEE ROOM IN THE MORNING FOR A COFFEE AND MUFFIN

I enjoyed many stays at the Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto over a decade ago, but this Christmas, I must say, it was a bit of a sad visit. The bar and restaurants were closed for the holidays, the pool was closed, there was a skeleton staff and no room service. Contrast this with the very busy, fully open, thriving Sutton Place in Vancouver, and one […] wonders what has happened to the Grand Lady of Bay Street. The room was spacious and clean, the room staff were very pleasant, but the front desk seemed like a hang out for the management staff and the janitors. I was given conflicting information about parking, check-out and services, though when I requested a small fridge and a kettle for tea, it was delivered promptly. But there was nowhere to plug them in! I had to shift many things into other outlets. Not a big deal, but annoying. Luckily, Rabba Foods was open 24 hours, so food and beverages were available. Excellent location and value. Within walking distance to shops, museums and galleries. Lots of fine restaurants close by. We were upgraded to a king room however; some furniture was missing (bedside table and lamp). Staff immediately rectified the situation and our stay was very enjoyable.

Service at check in was very slow and they couldn't find our hotel.com booking right away. Eventually we got in to find the rooms were clean and very spacious. Don't expect to be able to take the kids to the pool though - it was out of service when we got there and apparently had been for weeks!

i got the terrible service from staff. deposit, exchange currency, using wifi... i dont wanna go , never.

The most problems that were associated with this hotel is with their WiFi. They charrged me ,but after complaining they did take it off my bill,

We had hoped to use the pool but it was closed for maintenance. That was one specific reson why we booked this hotel. We usually order room service but that also was not available, although they did offer a sheet with nearby restaurants. It only meant that for every meal we had to go out, and it was really super cold after Christmas so we had to pay […] extra for taking cabs everywhere versus walking. the folks at the front desk were helpful with driections. Service was terrible. This hotel has not been a 4 star property for a long time. Avoid at any price.

The dining room, bar, and room service were closed for the holidays which is most likely how we obtained the discounted rate. The checkin and checkout staff were very courteous and helpful with restaurants, calling to determine availability. Hotel is beautiful and convenient indoor parking underneath.

I had always wanted to stay here, and when we had the chance to during our last visit to Toronto we did. It was clean and wonderful!

great hotel but absolutely no dining for almost a month! For the price I would have thought that they would have at least a morning coffee lounge .

I'm a regular Toronto visitor. Whenever I need to be in midtown (near Bloor St in Yorkville area), Sutton Place is a great place to be. Nice clean rooms and great staff.

The staff was awesome and room was clean. Wouldn't mind staying here again in the future! :)

Room was okay...a bit tired and nothing spectacular. Seemed to have no climate control and no fan, which I consider to be necessary for comfort and noise cancellation in a hotel setting. Even dropping off the newspapers in the morning was throwing them noisily. Bed was not comfortable. Restaurant is okay and service was pleasant.

This may have been the worst bed I have ever paid to sleep in. Aside from the fact that the mattress sagged in the middle,causing both my husband and I terrific back aches in the Not worth it at ANY price The desk staff at check-in (on the 26th)also need to be reminded that smiles and helpfulness are free.

We selected this hotel due to the location and the fact that it had a pool. When we arrived the pool was closed for some reason. Other than that it was a nice place.

This hotel has everything you could ask for.

good location subway 1 blk away so only minutes to all areas of town many restaurants in a 2-3 blk area decent place

I had my copy of the booking which stated I was staying one night. They had me registered for two nights. A small cliitch somewhere along the line. Good that I had my copy of the hotel confirmation.

You will have to pay a certain amount for 24hrs of use, I think nowadays internet should be free, even more when the cost of the room is expensive and also when it's a 4 star hotel

I was in room 712 - right across from the elevator. The noise prevented me from having a good night sleep. I even called Maintenance to see if we could get the room fan working to drown out the elevator noise. I would never choose your hotel again if I had to stay close to the elevators. This is unfortunate.

Convenient location. Excellent amenities and dining room

The location of this hotel is key. It is walking distance from major shopping as well as easy transport. My business was with the university of Toronto which was also walking distance away. This place may be marginally convenient but has seen better days and though some of the staff are helpful and friendly some of the other staff members are less than good representatives of the hotel service industry. The rooms are adequate and clean but the furniture is dated and just plain old. Some room noise particularly from the bathroom will make […] sleep difficult. The street noise is present even on the 12th floor and with the surrounding condos being so close I could have been at the party across the street from me. Not at all a quiet place. The pool was closed and the garage was preparing to close and what are you supposed to do with your car? No alternate arrangements appear to have been made. We had to attend events at U of Toronto as well as the Royal Ontario Museum. We could walk to both places and Bloor Street , a major shopping area was just there also. The rooms are large and very well kept, the garage is under the hotel. All and all very pleased with our stay and with the rate compared with others...

There were doormen always standing around the door but they never helped to open the doors... I don't think the training was there. Also, the telephone operator was not well-mannered when directing my calls, she was short-tempered and too casual, so again a lack of professional training I thought. Also, the restaurant was not good, just basic. The room […] were out-dated as well, the remains of the fifties. The whole hotel needs a lot of sprucing up in terms of service and staff training. The Sutton Place in Toronto was great. Celebrating our Mother's 85th birthday there worked out fabulous as it was close to everything we wanted to see and do.

We were referred to The Sutton Place by a resident relative. He was fairly general in his description and recommendation so we had to pretty well rely on the website for our information - we were not disappointed. Our rankings noted in your survey give your our honest opinion of exactly what we thought - very nice, very clean, very comfortable, and […] the staff was probably one of the most courteous and obliging we have encountered.
