"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel in Vienna, VA"
Rooms very confortable. No amendaties(no swimming pool, no gym, etc.) except for continental breakfast, which is great if the guest has no need for them, thus, keeping the price low. I would recommend a guest laundromat be provided by the inn keeper, which would be a help. Excellent maid service.
"Vienna Wolf Trap Easter Break"
I was visiting Washingon DC for spring break, and wanted a hotel that was cheap and not crowded, and I found it. This hotel was very well priced, but it wasnt very convinient. There was alot of traffic due to construction ( i know is not the hotels fault) so it took us twice as much to get to the hotel. The room was very clean, and big. My boyfriend […] with a wheelchair was very confortable and was able to move around, even though it was a regular room (they only have 1 handicap accesible room). He also took his Service dog with him and they were very accomodating to that as well. The "continental breakfast" wasnt much but bagels and donuts from Dunkins with coffee, tea and juice. I did not eat breakfast because when i got there there wasnt much left (breakfast was from 6-10 am). Overall I wiuld stay here again, but I would find out if there is any construction going on at the time. Leia mais

"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel"
I stayed nine days. Good accomodations, great location, great price. Will stay there again next visit.
"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel"
For my stay in the DC area the hotel was an excellent location- wedding in Vienna, granddaughtes in Bowie and friends in Woodbridge. The staff was exceptionally friendly and proactive towards my needs. Would definitely recommend to friends and plan on staying there again myself

"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel"
Back in 19th it was well designed and smartly built hotel. Now it is in somewhat rundown stage and need a lot of fixing. There are two rooms, one of which was converted into the breakfast room and the other into the hotel office. On the other hand it is clean, services are good, staff is friendly, and location is not 3 minutes drive from the Metro […] line. Leia mais

"Great Value"
I was very happy with this hotel. I would stay there again. I stayed on a buy 2 nights and get the third free deal, so the price was unbeatable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room needed some maintenance, but it was clean and orderly. They had free wi-fi and a nice continental breakfast.

"Very Confortable"
This Hotel is very affordable, close to de train station in very secure area. My wife, my son and me really enjoyed. We recomend this Hotel a 100%. Don't be picky.
"Needs improvement"
It reminds me of an old college dormitory and not a hotel. The customer service is exceptional and our room was warm. However, the room we got needs to be renovated. Also, I was not sure whether the sheets/comforters were clean, because it didn't look fresh and clean. The metro is closer driving, but probably 20mins if you walk. Go get your breakfast […] early, if not you won't get any of the free stuff. Leia mais
"Befitting of the price"
This motel is cheaper than most in the area. You get what you pay for. This motel was passable, but in need of renovations. The location is at the end of the metro line and a 25 minute walk from the station. Overall, good as a "value" motel.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable hotel that is close to everything.

"Good Hotel if you get a budget price"
The hotel is clean and ok. It isn't anything fancy, so if that's what you are looking for, go elsewhere. It isn't the quietest, because the walls seem a bit thin. The hotel could use some updating, but again, it's not a terrible place to stay, but not anything you would write home about. If you are looking for a simple place to stay that isn't too […] expensive, it may be a good choice. Leia mais
"Exceeds it's star level with service and cleanline"
Far exceeded my expectations for an inexpensive hotel/motel. Nice Linen, clean, fresh paint, fridge, microwave, good iron and board, good dryer. Everything is good working order. Breakfast is donuts/bagels and OJ & coffee, but better than nothing. Dated building and decor, but impressive for the price point. Definitely recommend.
The hotel was decently appointed for an economy hotel, but housekeeping was inadequate. The bed linens had not been changed from the prior guest. One bed had body hair from the last occupant still on the sheets. The other bed had wrinkled linens that appeared to have been slept in, but at least there was no body hair or stains. I made do, but not very […] happily, and would not recommend them at all to anyone. I hope you will see that they receive this complaint. Leia mais

"Excellent value for money - family friendly"
Do not expect a luxury hotel or service (which is limited to a one untrained man working from a room converted into a hotel lobby!) but this one offers an excellent value for money. The rooms are clean, the beds are large with ok mattresses and you'll find a fridge and microwave. The TVs are old but working fine and the location is perfect to visit […] DC (metro 1 mile away, but yu can park your car there and ride to DC). Breakfast is basic but given the price, one should not expect more. Leia mais

"Not great room or location"
The hotel is a little too far to walk to the subway. The bed was lumpy, no alarm clock in room, continental breakfast was served in one of the rooms- bagels and fruit. Nothing terrible, but not really great either.
"Vienna Wolf Trap Price vs Location Vs. Condition"
Considering that I selected the Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel because of its price I am not suprised or disturbed by its condition. The hotel was clean and servicable but it was not superior in any way but the property was run down with few amenities.
"Convience not everything"
Older hotel; needs updates. Clean as could be.

"Excellent value in convenient location"
What other reviewers have said about the overall condition of this property is largely true: it is a bit down at the heels and a rather dated style. The room entrances directly to outdoors are not a problem in warm weather, but one can envision potential discomfort in winter. Be all that as it may, the owners maintain the hotel very well, the room was […] as clean as maintenance can make it, and though pretty bare-bones it was reasonably appointed (microwave, coffee maker, iron, etc.) and comfortable. The mattresses in our room, however, could stand to be changed, they were quite soft. The price and convenience factors, however, more than compensate for the lack of chic. By car this hotel is quite accessible to two interstates; the street it is on is a direct line to Tyson's Corner; and it is, except on really hot steamy days, within walking distance (just) of the Vienna/Fairfax Metro station (there are bus lines one can take if one doesn't want to walk). Since you can park at the station for free on weekends, this was quite satisfactory, and saves the hassle and greater expense of parking in downtown Washington. Moreover, just down the block and across the street (be cautious crossing it, Vienna isn't big into crosswalks!) is a terrific 24-hour diner, and next door to the hotel is a Mexican restaurant that offers a decent margarita at a reasonable price. There are numerous restaurants and other amusements along the street, as well. Bottom line, this hotel gets my vote for price and convenience, and loses little on account of its physical condition. "Good for the Price and a 2 nights sleep"
If you are traveling on a budget and want a cheap hotel with parking and WiFi, that is close to a Metro and easy to get to then this is your place. But if you have issues with hotels having doors on the outside, outdated Decor, No real front Lobby, and looking a little run down that you will probably not want to stay here. I was happy with the all around […] service as breakfast was Donuts and Bagels (in a makeshift dining room that use to be a regular room??). WiFi was free with a good connection speed. The area was safe and within walking distance to restaurants and the Metro (20 min walk or close to 1.5 miles). We drove and parked for under $5. Room was mostly clean but wife thinks the one bed looked a little suspect so we slept in the other. Bathroom had hot water with good pressure, but the towels were thread bare and felt like sandpaper. Cable TV with SHO2 is available if you are sitting around. This place was comfortable for 2-3 people but if you would hang out in the hotel for a couple hours then anymore would have made it stuffy. This place might look a little old and rundown but the service is very good mixed in with great DC prices. I would stay here again especially if I just need a place to stay for the night with WiFi and parking. If you are planning an extended weekend with more than 3 people in a room then maybe a hotel with more amenities would be better. Leia mais
"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel"
The room was okay for the money. It was clean - needs to be remodeled - only one person in the room so I got one large thin towel. I think they should upgrade on their towels or at least give two towels (esp for a female that needs to dry her hair after showering). My only other complaint was the people hanging out in a van outside my door. I realized […] they were friends with the people that cleaned the rooms. They were talking and laughing from the van to the ladies cleaning the rooms on upper floors. (I believe they all knew each other.) The TV was an older tube tv - not really great quality but it was okay for one night. Overall it was okay for the money. Leia mais
"Good value for the price"
This is an older cookie-cutie type hotel in a prosperous little town in the DC suburbs. The furnishings are spartan but perfectly suitable and clean. if you want an inexpensive, conveniently located hotel with minimal services or amentities, it's terrific.

"Clean, Cheap and very near Washington, DC Metro"
This place is great for the location, just down from Vienna/Fairfax Metro station in Washington, DC. It is just 1 mile from the interstate and easy to reach. If you drive to DC but don't want to drive INTO DC, then this is for you. The Hotel is clean, cheap and a great bargain. We got a microwave and mini-fridge at no extra cost. Great for saving dinner […] leftovers and breakfast/lunch/snacks. Also, the complimentary continental breakfast every morning is ok. The neighborhood is quiet, nearby Starbucks and Convenient Station within walking distance, big chain restaurants within 1/2 mile for dinner. I was looking for place to stay while visiting the Washington, DC area and this place was great. We drove a mile down the street to the Metro Vienna/Fairfax Station, parked and 31 minutes later you are at the Smithonian Station, on the Washington, DC mall ready to sightsee. This is definitely the way to do Washington, DC. The Metro is expensive but way less than staying in-town. If you have a car and can walk and have no problem taking the subway/metro, then this is for you. The Metro cost goes down after 9:00am and 7:00pm, which is a bonus for those late risers and early evening visits to Washington, DC. Buy a couple of maps of Washington, DC, take the Metro and enjoy. Most of the US Federal sites are free (already paid for with your tax dollars). That includes all the Smithonian Museums, US Capital(go visit your Congressman and Senators), White House, Archives(see the real Declaration of independence), Supreme Court(sit in the chambers), Library of Congress(wow! what a building, get a library card at the Madison Building). And the monuments, oh amazing, Washington Memorial, Lincoln, Jefferson, Korea War, WWII, Vietnam; all within walking distance. Every US citizen should want to do this. Stay at the Vienna Wolf Trap, take the metro, walk, loose weight and be amazed. Leia mais
"Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel"
The room was clean and affordable. However, don't count on getting anything from the free Continential breakfast. While the manager replenished the food and drink after being notified it was gone- the housekeeping staff almost immediately came and ate most of the bagels and pasteries meant for the guests. Additionally they drank all of the orange juice. […] This occurred both mornings we were there. Leia mais

"Decent motel in a nice area with tran links to D.C"
We booked this place as we found everywhere in downtown DC too expensive and were told by a friend that Vienna was a nice area to stay. The surrounding area was really nice - lots of good places to eat and a big mall - however the distance to the metro line (over 1 mile) was a little far and although we were told that you could drive and park at the […] station it was always full so ended up walking. Decent room, pretty much standard - no complaints. Only negative was the wireless internet network was very weak and couldnt always connect from the room. Leia mais
"wolftrap"
this is an older hotel - decor is a blend of 60's 70's & 80's. not plush but comfortable for a 1 or 2 night stay and reasonably priced. the office/dining renovations made it a bit tricky to find the temporary office but the staff was courteous, pleasant, and informative of the area. the continental breakfast was fresh and well stocked. it was extremely […] easy to get to the filene center from there and a back road out of the park got us away from the main traffic and back to our room in 15 minutes. it is not the kind of place for a vacation but it was perfect for a convenient, affordable, safe place to stay following events at the national park. i am planning to go to more concerts at filene and planning to stay at wolftrap for those events. it made the outing comfortable, pleasand, and affordable. "Great Price - Good Stay"
If you need a place close to Tysons or DC and are on a tight budget, this is a find. It does not have the comforts of the bigger hotels, more like a motel. It is good for a few nights stay if needed. Plenty of food places around and conviently located near RT 66 and 495.
"Old Worn Motel, but met needs"
Really needs updating, everything is old and dingy. Like another reviewer said - plugs don't stay in outlets, burn rings on bathroom counter (is it possible we got the same room?), but staff were nice enough. Continental breakfast was fine (bagels, donuts, coffee, juice). Nothing fancy - cheapest place we could find in a safe neighborhood. Met needs, […] but wouldn't stay here again just because it was so worn - not dirty --just worn. Leia mais

"Over Hyped Crummy Hotel"
I really wanted this hotel to be good. It was just not. Shower was worn out, hot water took 10 minutes to arrive, the moulding around the shower was gross, the room smelled like urine, the tv was a small 15 inch tube and had reception issues, the carpet was worn through in a few spots, and the bed linens were cheap. The soap, the coffee, the creamer, […] the drapes, the bed spread, everything was just cheap and more cheap. Free Breakfast was bad coffee, bad OJ, generic creamer, OK donut, OK bagels, OK cream cheese. It was like being at a truck stop. Leia mais

"Nice place, close to Vienna Metro (about 1.1 miles)"
The Wolftrap met all our needs. It was clean, friendly staff, withing walking distance to places to eat, and close to the Vienna Metro Station, about 1.1 miles and a $10 taxi ride. Although we did walk it, after going around the DC sights, the taxi was a nice way to get back. The Orange line took us everywhere we wanted. We would stay there again.
"Great Room for the Money"
I chose this hotel for cost and location - it is in downtown Vienna. For the price, it more than met my expectations. Extras I did not expect: basic continental breakfast, hair dryer, iron & board, in-room coffee & maker, complimentary bottled water. It's not fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and 1/3 the cost of other hotels.
"hot."
The AC didn't work, and the bed was terrible. Didn't actually get any sleep. Wouldn't stay there again unless I had to.
