This is an excellent hotel situated on the Albert Embankment. My room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. There's not very much in the area around the hotel but if you want a quality stay with good views, then this is one for you.

Fantastic place great staff

fabulous hotel brilliant location , very new , very clean , drinks a bit expensive in the bar but not to bad considering location . House of Parliament just across the river 5min walk from Vaxhall tube station . will stay there again

Recently spent one night here for a close friends birthday. I picked the hotel mainly because I have stayed in Park Plaza hotels in the past and been very impressed. This was no exception, the lobby and bar were most impressive as were the christmas decorations that were just going up. As we were only there for a night and had activities planned throughout […] London, we didn't spend as much time at the hotel as I would have liked. I can definitely say the bathroom and room were spotless, the bed was comfortable and no noise was heard whatsoever from surrounding rooms or the road. Our view was...undesirable. But it didn't spoil our stay particularly. Having returned from our late night antics very early in the morning, 24 hour room service was greatly welcomed. The prices weren't too bad, although they did forget one of the dishes we had ordered. One phone call though and this was removed from our bill. The food came quickly too and was a good temperature. The quality was so-so. Breakfast the next morning was more inviting with a wide selection available, the interesting notice in the lift informing us that due to a large occupancy that weekend the peak times for breakfast would be 9:30-11:00am. The times we went down. We had to wait for a while to get a table but when we did, the table was clean and the staff courteous and quick. I was a little disappointed that check-out was slow, and people were queuing to check out at 12pm. I can't help but feel this could have been handled better. Overall though I would recommend this hotel, despite its location from our activities I would stay here again. Though this time, with a riverview! Ler mais

I have given other Park Plaza hotels in this group good ratings in the past. However, this particular stay had a couple of issues, which made it unpleasant. Firstly, I noticed that the door to the room would not click shut. I had been there a whole night before realizing this. It seems to me that security, management or housekeeping should have been […] aware of this. Safety and security ought to be paramount. They attempted to fix it and it appeared to work for a while, but it soon became inoperable. By the time they offered a room change I had only one night left. Secondly, the air conditioning system would not work unless I was present in the room, and even then, was ineffective. This meant that when i was out, the room was baking hot. They suggested opening a window, and did provide a small, ineffective desk fan. However, as the room overlooked some railway tracks, the rattle of trains going past every 10 minutes was unpleasant and did not make for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's management needs to ensure that all of the rooms are in a secure and habitable condition before offering them out to guests. Ler mais

London is over-rated constantly, on the other hand this hotel will deliver on your expectations of a World Class destination. My advice, don't try to do London on the cheap...it's not worth it and there are other cities to enjoy more for less. If you do choose London, this hotel will pleaes you for the money.

The location is right on the Thames and walking distance to restaurants and cafes. The hotels itself is clean, modern, good restaurant/bar.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Plaza in downtown London. We were able to walk to most of the sites we wanted to visit and loved coming back to the great room.

I have stayed at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel - London several times and will do again. A centrally located hotel with just the right amount luxury for a business or pleasure trip.

This is oe of my favorite hotels in central london. Modern, chic and confortable, close to westminster and a short walk from all the southbank. Great service and high quality food. The only downside is the trendy by expensive resaurant. Had a bill of £210 for an evening meal for two from their sampler menu that admittedly included 2 bottles of low […] end wine but excluded desert or coffee. Ler mais

Good stay overall but disappointed with facilities in room. Only one bath robe and slippers for 2 people and coffee and chocolate etc were really only for 1 person. Also quite small for an executive room

Great Hotel. A little problem finding the right one since there are 3 Park Plaza Hotels on the same street.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The room was smaller this time, but certainly a nice room. On this occasion,the one drawback was the noise of the trains running up and down the track. A beautiful hotel with stunning entrance foyer and reception. Very efficent and courteous staff. Breakfast was full buffet and full English fry for ten pounds sterling which I thought very good value. I had a problem with my room dvd player but was sorted fast by room service. Quiet rooms yet convenient location. Have stayed before and standards had […] not fallen. Was only literally a few pounds more per night than a near by 3 star hotel....yet there was a world of difference!! Needed to change on last day in the evening (after checking out) and staff gave me key to fitness suite where I was able to shower. Ler mais

The service was excellent - front desk were very helpful when i wanted to change my room because it was a little dark for me. Well run and good value.

We were very please with the Park Plaza Riverbank. It was clean and very comfortable. We were able to walk to some of the major sites. The only 2 negative things I might mention is that the underground was a bit of a walk, but not overly. Highly recommended. Lovely rooms with a great bathroom. Drinks in the hotel bar are expensive but this is all part of the London experience!

This park plaza is a lovely hotel, and in an ideal location ... there is a lovely little cafe down the road and it is just a short walk to the London Eye. Although we did not pay to have a room at the front of the hotel, the rooms facing the back do not have a bad view (quite a pretty one at night when lit up), and also even though there is a train […] line running directly behind the hotel, due to good, thick windows no noise can be heard. Stayed here last week (Jan 2011) Good Service, Clean, Modern rooms with comfortable beds at a price that's surprisingly low for London. Very hard to fault. Air Con a tiny bit too loud?

Modern design hotel overlooking the Thames & Houses of Parliament. Room comfortable with good bathroom & facilities but my room along with others suffered from high noise 'pollution' from the railway tracks into one of London's major terminals. Its continous for 24hrs. I would only recommend the hotel if your room was confirmed as away from the railway […] side of the hotel. Ler mais

Even though they claim they have turn down service, they just don't. I stayed for 5 nights and it never got done. They also left the dirty linen on the floor TWICE!

A lovely hotel with excellent service., although room cleaning was not done each day until late in the day. Staff were excellent in all areas of the hotel and most attentive and easy to contact. We also attended a dinner dance in the Plaza Suite and we most impressed with the attentive and highly efficient service for such a large group (350 or so). […] Only eat in Chino Latino but that was excellent and again so was the service. Executive Lounge most pleasant and again excellent service. Unmanned during the day but well maintained and delightful. At first seemed lonely location but easy to get to places and 24 hour shop at garage nearby, Vauxhall tube easy walk etc. Pleasant area on way to tube with bars and italian etc restaurants and could sit outside. Did not have time to try any of them. Valet parking v good (£26 per 24 hours but worth it for us) Ler mais

Great location and a great place to stay.

While this hotel is a beautiful hotel, it is not in a very convenient location. To see any of the sights is at least a 15-20 minute walk, and if you have been on your feet walking all day long, a 15-20 minute walk is the last thing you are looking for. The bus stops are outside the hotel, but can honestly say that the buses are not really the way to […] get around London. Any bus to any busy part of the city will be jammed packed with people. Local restaurants are few and far between around this hotel as well, therefore, making grabbing a bite to eat a little harder than would have liked. The concierge was lacking in all departments. We had some questions for them throughout our stay, and I would say 95% of the time they we unable to answer our questions, therefore, leaving us to search out other ways to find the answers. I would highly recommend Park Plaza Riverbank invest in some training for their concierge staff. Guests of the hotel expect certain things out of the concierge staff, and Park Plaza Riverbank concierge staff doesn't have what is expected of them. All in all, it is a very nice, modern hotel, but I would not recommend it. Ler mais

The hotel was excellent, the price was higher that a lot of comparable hotels. The location demands a premium. Our room decor was Danish modern and the bathroom included a separate tub and shower. The door into our room was so peculiar it requires a sentence. It looked like a cross between a walking refrigerator and a maximum security cell. The Main […] restaurant, "Chino Latino" was pricey and the food was sparse. My wife liked it. The cuisine is a mixture of Thai, Japanese, and something else. (I forget) but it wasn't Latin food. Great hotel for anyone doing business along the south bank of the Thames River. Otherwise, keep looking--you will find a better location. Good service and an excellent business center open till 11 PM, seven days a week. Business center staff was helpful and competant. Good mini bar and an all-night room service menu. Room is big by English standards. […] You will either get a room with a spectacular view of the River Thames or an ugly view of the building across the alley. Good breakfast buffet--very reasonably priced by English standards. Decent upscale restaurant in the lobby. Closest tube station is the Vauxhall Station (about 1/4 mile west of the hotel) on the Victoria Line. You are only a few tube stops from Green Park, Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. The tube is definitely the way to get from this hotel to the heart of London. Again, great bang for your buck, but if your business meetings are in north or central London, you will find yourself too far for comfort. Hotel staff was Ok not very cheerful. The room size was fabalous for the price we paid..free wi-fi internet, so bring your laptop. Convenience store right next door to purchase water..etc... Location to the sites are a little far, if you don't mind walking it's ok. closest tube was Westminster but it was closed. Do your research all tubes R not always […] open...buses run until 4am they run all day use them, instead of taxis if you can...Exchange your cash, Euro etc.. in the city and not in the airport you get a better rate. The hotel itself is located about 15 mins walk from the London Eye which is perfect as it was one of our destinations. The hotel itself was modern and had a good atmosphere with plenty of staff on the reception and check in areas. Car parking could not be easier as we could pull up to the front of the hotel and unload our luggage. The car then was taken […] to the off site but very close secure parking place by a member of staff, which again was good. The cost was £26.00 for the weekend. But note that it is first come first served regarding parking as they have a limited number of spaces. We where also able to check in a couple of hours earlier as well which again after a longish journey is always a welcome. The rooms themselves where very good, very clean with everything you would expect including a secure safe. The hotel was quiet even though it is on a main road with railway lines at the rear of the building. We where offered a upgrade which was declined and then paid £10 for breakfast each which was very good as you could eat as much as you liked. Very pleasant experience and a great loacation on the river.

This hotel was situated in a good place and it was easy to get everywhere. Although I had booked a twin room and when I got there I was told there were none available which vexed me, the staff were very accomodating and upgraded me to a suite! The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very nice and the beds comfortable. My only fault would be the room […] service as it was lukewarm and average tasting. Stayed here one night only after driving from Fishguard, must say it will be our last, had a room overlooking train tracks, very noisy, asked to be moved to another room and were waiting half an hour for someone to change us. new room smelled of stale smoke, cleaner woke us up at eight am knocking on the door and entering our room. This is a fantastic hotel if all you want is a bit of a treat and want to be out the way of loud traffic but in a still central, beautiful and convenient location with some great restaraunts nearby. Chino Latino is a fantastic place for cocktails and breakfast but i did not try the dinner as it is not my kind of thing.

The hotel is designed for an international clientele, which means it has all the necessary amenities. It is also has a trendy bar in the lobby, that is unlike the typical hotel bar. Also, try the bar in the boat across the street.

Good location, good value, helpful staff - no problems, but bar prices a little high. Overall good.

Booked a double room, but rooms are allocated on arrival and we were offered a twin on 3rd floor or a double on 9th floor which was right at the back of the hotel with no good views. Paid £45 to upgrade to executive double room on 6th Floor with view of Thames, Big Ben & London eye. Room was lovely, nice modern decor, very clean couldn't get enough […] of the view- stunning!- glad we upgraded. Air con didn't work though and window was locked. Called reception, they told us the system was on 'winter' mode so the air con couldn't be switched on, said they would send someone to open the window, an hour later no one had come had to call again, 15 minutes later finally someone came to open the window. Didn't speak to one English member of staff, most from Eastern Europe. Lady in the breakfast room, was very nice and helpful. Had to queue for breakfast (included in executive room upgrade) but it was very good and nice and hot. Room upgrades also include a later checkout of 1pm (subject to availability), complimentary drinks and snacks in the bar-between certain times (we missed this as had to go to a show), dressing gowns & slippers. Ice machine on every floor was handy. Great location 10-15 minutes walk to London Eye & Big Ben. Good overall with fab views ,would return. Ler mais

When you walk in you feel like you could be heading in to the St. Martins Lane hotel - a very luxurious feel and such incredible value for money for the location and rooms available. I'll certainly visit again.
