Very dated which added to its not looking as clean as we would have liked. Needs a makeover.

Ok so we stayed for New Years Eve. Had friends out for outside party. Here are our negatives first: 1. New Years Buffet was over price! All people in our party felt this as well. (but it was New Years Eve and the food was pretty good I got to say). But we were not disappointed because it was New Years Eve. 2. The party was outside with a band and DJ. […] Chairs were limited and it wasn't very crowded. The DJ was not too good. He jumped in his music to fast and it was hard to stay on the dance floor, The Band was great and made the night for us. (Remember it was New Years Eve) So I will say sitting hasn't been an issue on other visits of our and the food is always great. The Goods: 1. They didn't jack up the drink prices! 2. Great fireworks at Midnight! 3. Room was clean and very nice. It over looked the bay and what a great view of the sunset. 4.Everyone (staff) was first class and we had no issues. 5. The New Years Eve Venue as great. Even with our about Negatives the night was Great and enjoyable, I would strongly suggest this place to anyone. We will go back with our kids. Leia mais

We took the family (kids 3 & 7) to the Tampa area for the Outback Bowl on New Year's Weekend and stayed at the Resort and Club at Little Harbor for four nights. Room was clean and modern, staff was friendly and competent, pool and beach were okay though not very large. I would call this an "upscale economy" resort...if you want four or five star accomodations, […] restaurants and service, then this is not the place for you. But if you're a couple or family on a budget, this is a great little place a bit off the beaten path. The onsite restaurant and beach club/bar are nothing special, but convenient. Just 25 minutes or so to downtown Tampa and St. Petersberg, though there's very little to do locally. If you go you should definitely eat at The Circle Restaurant in Angel Beach...great food and atmosphere at very reasonable prices for the quality and service you get. I heard the local fried seafood place just outside the resort was good, but we didn't want to eat outside on picnic tables. Good vacation, very reasonably priced, no complaints. Leia mais

The view out of the room balcony makes up for everything!

Terrific place to stay if you need to be in the area. A little off the beaten path, but if that is what you are looking for then this is a nice clean, quiet, comfortable spot to spend some time. No extra charge for stellar sunsets.

A wonderful waterfront getaway.

When visiting relatives in the retirement communities in Sun City Center, FL, be sure to stay at Little Harbor. The hotel is awesome and is in a great location to view not only the awesome sunsets, but also the sunrises if you're lucky enough to get a room that faces the canal. Looking for a great place to just unwind, relax and be. Then look no further as this place is a gem. That being said be ready to find yourself situated in the middle of nowhere. Make sure to take family and/or make it a romantic weekend. Overall though. great place, reasonable price and beautiful grounds.

If your looking for a nice affordable getaway with a beach this is your place.

My Wife and I enjoyed our stay at Little Harbor but Found it lacking due to being unfinished roads etc also Ruskin had nothing to offer if you left the resort

Great place to go to if you're not planning on going anywhere else but stay on property. Too far from the city if you want to go out at night but not if you want to go to the city for shopping or dining. Staff was wonderful and their Sunday brunch was great.

My husband and I stayed at Little Harbour after a day of Mountain biking at Alifia State Park. The resort was exactly what we needed, peaceful, quiet and with a nice restaurant on property. The next day we went mountain biking at Balm Boyette Preserve. The resort is conveniently located and a wonderful retreat from our active days on the trails. The […] room was a nice size with a small fully equiped kitchen. We loved the porch overlooking an inlet. Saw a few manatee and the sunrise Friday morning over the water was beautiful. if you can overlook the road into the resort and you can leave all of that behind you -we booked waterview rooms thats what we got -the front desk clerk did all she could to get our three rooms as close together as possiable a job well done next to each other and right across the hall no problem no rate increase the staff was friendly and efficient […] the food was good at the restaurant the staff excellent the resort was quiet and serene totaly enjoyed walking around the harbour they even had vanilla ice cream for my grandson with smiles again the staff was excellent my son traveled from louisiana my brother from atlanta our next reunion will be at the resort see how they do with afamily of twenty + my guess would be no problem jw. Nice rooms clean, not much to do around the area great if you just want tojust relax overall grat hotel

Picturesque setting for a romantic getaway but I was a woman travelling alone who needed to be able to work from my hotel room. My cell service was non-existent. The website advertised WiFi is only in the lobby or restaurant -- ethernet in the room. There was only one useable electrical outlet in the room so electronics re-charging was difficult. Bed […] and chairs are very uncomfortable so it was tough to sit for any length of time. The website advertised "flat screen TV" was a funky old analog with a rounded screen. The website advertised "beach" is a tiny sliver of sand that disappeared at high tide. The sink in my room was cracked and dirty. The bathroom floor was also dirty with a corner filled with accumulated grime. There is a restaurant on the property but all other eating or shopping is a significant drive away from the resort. There is no room or delivery service but there's at least a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Grocery stores are at least a 10-minute drive away. Ground floor rooms are drive-up-to-the-door rather than interior hallway. Second floor rooms open to a hallway but the access doors are always unlocked. For security reasons when I travel alone, I prefer interior hallways with access doors keyed to the room key. Leia mais

It was a great location for us because we were very close to our family. We enjoyed the restaurant, beach and lots of manatees. We really had a terrifice time. Thank you!!

This is a lovely place to stay. Had a water view room on the back side and to my delight the manatees came to visit and I spent the afternoon watching them frolic and feed in the shallow waters. Nice grassy area with a tree for shade by the water to sit and enjoy. Room had a couple of problems but nothing that interferred wtih our stay. I would definitely […] stay there again. enjoyed our stay ; hotel clean and service good. restaurant food good, and priced right. beach was very nice, except water was dirty and not suited for swimming.

If you want to get away from the hussle and bussel, this is the place. If your looking for something to keep you busy and distracted then go someplace else.

The rooms are filthy. They look dark when you walk in and upon further inspection the floors were very dirty. There were dust balls hanging from ceiling around the air conditioning duct. Room also smelt moldy. Too bad because this is a beautiful location on Tampa Bay and it could really be a nice resort if they would clean it up.

A beautiful resort off the beaten path in a poverty stricken area. Either cocoon or have a GPS to travel out. There are no restaurants closeby. The resort has one restaurant but didn't try it. Great sunsets over the bay but wouldn't swim in it. Beautiful setting for the pool and tennis facilities nice. We were in town for my fathers 65th birthday party and were very pleased when we arrived early that the staff allowed us to check in early, especially after driving 10 hours straight. The surrounding area was beautiful and just minutes town.

This resort is absolutely the place to stay if you are in the Ruskin area. There is a wonderful view with the bay in the front and Manatees swimming in the back. The beach and pier is close and the beach club is even better. I loved the menu at the restaurant with a variety of favorites and plenty of seafood.

Nice rooms....great view and bar with great food

There is absolutley no resturants around the hotel. One of the pools was down for maintance the other was nice. The resturant was very over priced and service waqs really bad. My key card needed to be reprogramed after each use, the clerk, or JERK thought thatI did not know how to use a key card. HELLO!!!

This place was not decorated in your typical Florida beach decor. It looked more like a fall day because the room was decorated in orange. The shower actually projected water which was great. However, it was so dark that you could barely see yourself! Even during the day you had to keep the lights on if you wanted to read or eat. There was no TV guide […] so you didn't even know what was on TV. I was very upset that the cleaning staff left our door open after they cleaned! Luckily, we were only at the pool and not gone for the day. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they really didn't care. They were not very friendly at all. One pool was closed for repairs and the other pool was dirty. We were so hot that it didn't matter. The "beach" area was relaxing since it was empty. We didn't want to go in the water because it was murky, really gross. The fishing pier could use a cleaning as it was covered with bird poop. The tennis court and basketball court were nice. The resort is away from everything which is good in some ways. It will take you about 5 minutes just to get to the main highway, but don't expect to go on a scenic drive; there really isn't much to see or do in the immediate area. Overall, it was relaxing, but you could tell the place needed to do some major renovations. I would recommend this resort if you just want to sit by the pool, or relax by the bay an enjoy a Florida sunset. Leia mais

The room is kinda small, nothing looks like in the pictures that posted ...tivi noice at night from next room. private beach for hotel and condo ...the scenery is not at nice and romantic

I booked a Jr. Suite for me and my two kids when we got there I was told they overbooked so they upgraded me, my upgrade as they called it was to give me a room with only one queen bed and a double pull out couch when I was suppose to have 2 queen beds. Less beds is not an upgrade the view was nice but the balcony/porch that was on my original booking […] became a piece of tile that you could hardly step out on. My reservation also said free wireless this is a total lie the only wireless is in the lobby non of the rooms have wireless. When I complained I was given what they said was my original booked room with my 2 queen beds it was ok but not very nice or very clean. Most of the staff was nice however I will not go back. My mini vacation with my kids before school started was not as nice as it should have been for the price. Leia mais

This hotel was great. The location was beautiful. I had some issues with my reservation but the front desk was more than accomodating and upgraded me twice. i would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again.

We stayed in a deluxe little suite and loved our view over the water. The room was clean and well appointed. The only problem we noticed was an older air conditioning system that was loud. However it worked well. The desk staff was pleasant and we had planty of towels,etc. in our room. The balcony was very nice and our kitchen had very high quality […] dishes, flatware, pans if you planned to cook. To go shopping or to a movie you have to drive to Brandon, but there are some restaurants near the resort. The restaurant at the resort is quite expensive. We found a cute mom and pop type diner on 414 called Popi's that had great food. Also there was a sports bar that had great food and very friendly service called Shenanigans. There is also a drive in theater (yes, can you believe it?) on route 414. Of course you can also drive to Busch Gardens. We were there two nights and if you are super laid back and plan to spend the day at the pool this is a wonderful surprise. The sunsets are incredible, the small beach is clean, but the water is murky probably due to the marina nearby. There was live music at the Tiki bar in the evening. Get mapquest directions because it is out of the way. It is a very nice resort that reminds me of Old Florida. It is not sophisticated, but if you want that go into Tampa or St. Pete. I would not have gone swimming in the water near the beach, but the sand was clean. The beach has a lot of broken shells so wear flipflops. We got a fair price on hotels.com for a two night stay. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere! You are on the Bay in an area the the best restaurant is a hot dog trailer on the road to the resort. The accomodations are okay provided you get what you reserve. We paid for a Jr Suite with waterview. When we got there they had put us in a deluxe room (downgrade). When we asked about it the Christine, the manager […] on duty told us that they had made a mistake in our reservations. When I asked for the difference between the two rooms I was told I would have to go to Hotels.com (that's where I booked it). I asked why I had to fight the fight with them when you admitted you made the mistake in the reservation. Well Christine told me she would call them and straighten it out. SHe never did. I called a few days after our stay and was told they would take care of it. They never did. I called Hotels.com 2 weeks after the stay and it was taken care of in about 5 minutes. The hotel restaurant is okay, this isn't really a resort. It is a bunch of condos that they sold around this harbor and they try and run it like a hotel. It doesn't work. Leia mais

I spent 5 nights there with my wife and 2 small children. The room was clean. The staff was helpful and accomodating. We had booked our room 6 weeks in advance and when we got to the hotel they had given our room to someone else, so they upgraded us to a bigger, nicer room at no extra charge. The pool was clean and the food and service at the restaurant […] was very good. The only negative was the beach. Not enough lounge chairs for hotel guests and the water in Tampa bay is murky. We didn't want to swim in it. It wasn't clean and clear like the water on the gulf. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. Thanks! Leia mais

We needed a week-end away from the hustle and bustle of our week life style and it was a birthday present for my husband. We were welcomed very warmly by Christine who was efficient without being snooty. She made the start of our week-end great. Our room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. Had we been staying longer than a week-end I am sure […] we would have made good use of the dishwasher!!! Overall we could not have been happier and we met some great people. We will visit again. We loved the resort. I wish they would get bicycles to rent out., but other than that. It was a great experience. Loved the view of Tampa Bay.

They had a good breakfast buffet,a great Tiki Bar and restaurant.I could get equipment for sports areas and the exercise room.They had the usual harder than home hotel mattress,a ethernet cable instead of wiifi and there were mosquitos and a couple Palmetto bugs but the sunsets and ambiance made up for that.Staff was friendly and courteous and the room […] was attractive. My only gripe is that guests would need a car. The property is very secluded. You can't walk to the corner drugstore. You need a car. There's a restaurant on property with average fare & prices. But the hidden gem was The Fish House on the way to the resort. A rustic place, but definitely worth a visit. We visited on a Friday night and there was a live […] band, an open bar, the beach, the sunset and just enough people to make the evening special. We were surprised by the little 'Happy Hour'. This was a nice place to stay. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo. Everyone had their own bathroom. It was quiet, no noise from neighbors. The whole family enjoyed the space.

This was our second visit here and we enjoy it so much, we know we will go back. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, the rooms (a junior suite) perfect for two to four people, the environment great. We typically do not leave the property after arriving, since the restaurant and bar on the property are excellent, although a little […] more expensive than your average restaurant. We recommended to the hotel that it rent golf carts and/or bicycles just to offer something to do for anyone not having a boat. The pools are nice, clean and perfect for relaxation. Standard rooms are not great. I upgraded after I got to the resort. Studio rooms are great- comfortable & clean. Good place to stay but don't expect luxury/great views/ etc.
