Decent price and nice continental breakfast. I will defenitley stay there again and recomend it to friends. :)

Our family enjoyed our one-night stay at this facility. It was clean, looked almost new, and the layout was adequately spacious. This hotel is not bad, if you just want to spend one night I guess it's ok. The first thing to note is the fact that it is hard to get too off the East bound 8 sort of tricky. The other thing is that the place seems to have some locals staying there and when we arrivied I notice some of them hanging around, my impression is that one should be careful […] around this place, but I should also mention that I had no problems. Showed up Friday evening. The young lady behind the desk was VERY kind and helpful. Checked in, suite was well worth the extra money in having two full bathrooms. The breakfast was good - standard fare though. Sausage, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, pastries, juices and coffee. The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown and Qualcomm. The only […] downside is that one side of the hotel faces the freeway and the other the trolley tracks. So if you're a really light sleeper, it might be difficult to sleep. The worst part of this location was the fact that it sits right next to the local redline/metrolink type of transportation line. Quite often, you hear the train go by. It is relatively quiet, but had I known it was there, I would have chosen a different hotel. Also, the trash truck came very early in the morning.

Very clean room, grounds kept up, staff great for customer serivce and breakfast was good.

The rate was excellent for a good clean place to sleep. The motel had clean facilities, ample breakfast, and a variety of amenities. From the motel we needed access to the airport, San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Tijuana. It was close enough to all. I would recommend them to budget travelers.

the staff was friendly & courteous. The pool was cold but jacuzze nice & warm. the breakfast area was nice & spacious and they left the toaster & coffee pot out so that I could get coffee when I came in after a long drive & fix toast with the bread that I brought. Other places put everything away & no coffee or tea for a weary traveler.

The Quality Inn & Suites in El Cajon was a great stay for us. 3 nights. We were there to see my sister who lives at the border of La Mesa and San Diego. The location is awesome. The only drawback some might see is it is pretty isolated. I liked that, you might not. Nothing within walking distance. I loved the hotel. We had wi-fi, a nice pool, jacuzzi. It's nice watching the train go by only a few hundred feet from the pool. The only complaint I have is that the fire alarm went off early in the morning while i was trying to sleep and stayed on for a good 10 minutes before the hotel would turn it off. This was our second time staying at this motel within the last 2 months. Price was right. A/C unit is older and did not spread around the air very well. One side of the room was warm and the other side was cool. Staff seemed a bit overwelmed keeping the breakfast bar stocked even though the motel did not appear to be fully occupied.

I have stayed at this hotel in emergencies before as it is between my home and job. Even though I had stayed before and did not like th hotel after reading reviews online sayint it was so great I decided to take the chance. It was just how I remembered seedy, old and stinky. The staff was very nice and accomidating and the breadkfast was good. My room […] stunk, the elevator stunk, the outside hallways stunk even. My room was supposed to be non smoking yet there were cigarette burns in the coffee table and the edge was all chewed up. There was a dirty old ashtray sitting outside my room for the entire time of my 3 night stay tath was never cleaned out. I would never stay here again. We would rate our stay at Quality Inn and Suites 5 stars. The room was neat and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. But what makes the hotel different from the others to us was the staff's approach and attitude when we had to encounter a very unfortunate incident while staying at the hotel. During our stay I, father of the family got up to use the restroom in our room at about 0300 hours. When turning on the light to the restroom a roach was climbing up the wall. I promptly killed it with a shoe and was forced to convince myself not to inform my family until they woke up the next morning. From that point on we did not keep food or snacks […] out of the frige. On our last day I opened the ice container and found a very small roach inside the ice bag, my wife standing next to me, I showed it to her and she stated thank goodness we did not get ice. There were what looked like workmen staying at the hotel which were loud and slammed doors when they returned to the hotel I guess after they worked at night, very early in the morning. Being a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER from another state I have to admit that I was abit worried for my families safety. Also upon our initial arrival I noticed men hanging around the pool area which convinced me to not allow my young daughter and son to utlilize it. Again being a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER my training suggested it would not be a good idea to allow my children to be exposed to these men. The hotel was fine for the exceptions mentioned. We suggest only to the management, they may reconsider or consider the persons they have staying at this hotel. From a law enforcement Officers point of view to other law enforcement Officials, please listen to this review. As you law enforcement officers know we are noticable if we choose to be. This was our first time in a Quality Inn & Suits and their first impression on us was great. Minutes from everything we did in San Diego that weekend. We will be back again next time!

The hotel was what we expected in the price range. Clean room, good breakfast with hot waffles, pleasant staff. Mary, at the front desk, was specially helpful. The only complaint was a large, noisy group after hours at the pool. A call to the night manager produced no results.

It is basic for a high price. Internet was iffy at best, cutting in an out. Breakfast was okay at least to save the day.Just reproved to myself that the pictures always look better.

Agree with comments about overly noisy air conditioner. Really ought to bite the bullet and replace these ancient items. Otherwise room was nicely updated and remodeled to a reasonable standard for this price point. Breakfast was very good and parking convenient.

This was the last hotel we stayed at during our family vacation in Cali and it was by far the very best hotel we stayed at. The rooms were ready upon arrival, they were very clean and roomy. The linens were plentiful and the beds oh so comfy! There was a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms and the A/C worked like a charm. Even though out room faced […] the freeway the noise wasn't at all bad and didn't bother us at all. The location was close to everything. They had a breakfast that was included that was actually very decent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. I try not to stay in places that use the word "Inn" or a number in their name. This place changed my mind. Well apportioned rooms meant a good nights sleep. The breakfast was above average to say the least. In other reviews a couple of people complained about a train and the freeway . . . My travel companion and I chose this hotel to stay because of its proximity to the nearby university. After having traveled in torrential rains, we were very happy to be warmly greeted by the staff. We did opt to upgrade to a suite because we were staying for a few days. My bed was comfortable, but my travel companion did mention that the pull-out […] sofa bed was not that great--something to think about if you will be renting a suite yourself Our particular room did have an odor of some sort--not sure if it had previously been a smoking suite or if smoke was drifting in from outside through the AC/heater unit. It was very noticeable at first, but it wasn't strong enough to prompt me to change rooms. The hotel itself is located in sort of an odd place by the freeway--it is the only building in the area, and you have to be very cognizant of the street signs in the area (some no turns/no u-turns, forking of the road). I often visit family in the San Diego area. I decided to try a different hotel than I normally do. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. First off, the complementary breakfast is bigger than most. Sausage, two waffle makers (for those who have ever waited in line to make a waffle, you'll know how important that is) many different types of cereals, danishes […] and fruit. And the room is big enough and with enough tables to sit and be comfortable. The building is a little old, and the decor not up to style. However, the room was very comfortable and had an AC that meant business. Could have used a slightly bigger TV. And for those who complained about the traffic noise. My room faced the freeway and I didn't hear a sound the two nights I stayed. Overall, I have found a new favorite hotel in the area and will be going back. Ler mais

Room was very clean and organized. The location was good because there was no busy traffic so entering and leaving the hotel was easy. Great friendly employees and worked well with us. Beds were very comparable to ours at home, but we had to get 2 queen size beds instead of our Cali king, it was the only way to get a non smoking room and really only […] needed one for myself, wife and 2 year old. We stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Close to most attractions in San Diego and is much cheaper than staying in Hotel Circle. Close to Mall and restaurants. Breakfast is decent with good varieties. Breakfast room is large and can be used as a conference room/meeting room. To much noise from the freeway, it's right next to freeway 8 couldn't sleep at all.

I have now stayed here (5) times. My kid attens SDSU. The hotel has an excellent location to CA 8. The room is always clean and beds comfortable. The noise factor just depends on who is staying there. Awesome pool and spa!!

Great experience at this Hotel. Very clean room, great breakfast and what a huge breakfast room to eat in. Employees are wonderful here.

This hotel never lets us down. Priced well, outstanding breakfast bar and large lounge to sit in. Service is exemplary. Room was immaculent. This is our second stay. Our room had everything: Microwave, fridge, iron and wireless internet. This is the perfect hotel.

Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. We had a comfortable two-night stay.

I cannot believe how nice this hotel was. The rooms were large and clean and it came with a microwave and fridgerator. The beds were firm and so comfortable. Immaculent room! Then the topper was the free breakfast that came with hot sausage and waffles. The breakfast room was huge! Plenty of tables/chairs. I cannot believe how upscale this hotel was. From the awesome warm breakfast to the immaculent room. Even our pets loved it! The grass was near our door for our pets. And the beds were so comfortable. We will definitely stay at Quality Inn Hotels from now on! Highly recommended! 10 out of 10.

For the price, it was fine. I just needed a place to sleep. The front desk people were very nice, and the free breakfast, microwave, and refrigerator were definitely a plus. Wouldn't recommend if you are with a family, or are easily frightened - seemed like a lot of local people use it as a hangout. But I had business in El Cajon so, being only 1 mile […] away from my destination, it is definitely the best option around. It's the best 2-star hotel you will find in the area. Ler mais

Room smelled of Urine. Not very clean. Would not stay here again.

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel for our trip to Seaworld. After all, you pay so much inside the park, who wants to spend a fortune on lodging! I was pleased with our room, the service, and the cleanliness of the pool area. You have to put up with some freeway noise but that's par for the course at most places. It was a little difficult, due to signage (not the hotel's fault) to locate the hotel the first time.

I arrived late, and although there was someone else at the desk before me, another clerk immediately came to the desk to help me. I really appreciated the quick attention to service. I was quickly and efficiently checked in. My room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was ok, however, the way it is set up does not warrant enough space to efficiently […] move about the "breakfast bar" there was too much crowding and not enough places to sit. The first room they gave us smell like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. There were burn marks on the carpet and furniture. The bathtub water was running and we couldnt shut if off. We complained about the room and was given another room. It smell faintly like smoke but was better than the first. Would not go there again and would not recomend […] it to anybody. Ler mais

A good hotel for the price. Was a little out of the way, so make sure you have a map if you are intending on visiting downtown San Diego or the zoo. Otherwise, staff were super friendly and room was clean. Would recommend to others.

This hotel has the best customer service. They bend over backwards to accomodate your every need. Room was immaculate. Staff was able to refer us to great local restaurants (Casa de Pico). Only drawback was freeway noise.

My rating would be higher if not for the neighborhood. Nothing within walking distance and in that neighborhood you wouldn't want to. Not recommended for a mother and child. Good place for a group of 3 or more. Good breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff.

Not an impressive hotel. Very noisy. Hotel rooms face the busy road. No choice to get a quieter room. We had no towels in our room and had to call and ask for them. Did not enforce quiet hours. Decor was very out dated. Breakfast was OK, but busy and 1 attendant was not enough to keep up with the restocking and cleaning up of tables.

WE HAD A ROOM WITH TWO BEDS, FOUR GUESTS. OUR ROOM WAS EXTREMELY SMALL. WE HAD TO BE CREATIVE WITH THE PLACEMENT OF OUR SUITCASES. THE BEDS TOOK UP MOST OF THE ROOM. THE BEDS WERE REALLY HARD. THE HOTEL IS SANDWICHED BETWEEN A LOCAL TRAIN AND A FREEWAY, BOTH OF WHICH YOU CAN HEAR FROM THE INSIDES OF THE ROOMS. HOTEL STAFF WAS ACCOMODATING, HOTEL WAS […] CLEAN BUT ROOM WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. WORST THREE NIGHTS SLEEP I'VE HAD IN YEARS! Ler mais
