"Location Makes it Worth it"
The rooms are not suites (i.e.- two rooms) but are big, extended stay type rooms. The hotel is kept very clean. The Hawthorn's positives include the _excellent_ location, down the street from the Nimbus Dam Park, and the free hot breakfast they serve. However, I did find some negatives that previous reviewers have complained about. The wireless internet […] does not work, at all, in the west wing of the hotel. I walked the halls with my Thinkpad, mapping reception, and all the Wifi transmitters are in the extreme east end of the hotel. If you are planning on using their free wifi, don't count on it. I finally gave up and used the free wifi at Starbucks. The hotel is very clean, but showing minor signs that management is not keeping up on maintanence. I'm talking about things like worn sheets, stained (or missing) furniture and burned out lights. Also, the parking situation can be tight. Normally not a problem, but if you arrive late on a busy night in an SUV, parking may be trouble. Would I stay here again? If I got a great deal again, yes I would. Leia mais
Went for a three night stay for a seminar, good complementry breakfast ,one night had yummy fried chicken dinner free also, the bed was very comfortable, small kithchen with a few odd dishes, had to buy frying pan and some paper plates and utensils. Near Nimbus fish hatchery which we enjoyed so much
"Very good value"
Staff was very courteous. Location was good for my purposes and in quiet, semi-rural area, but close enough to Sacramento and retail malls. Only complaint is that in two days, I went through five new door card keys, because they apparently kept getting demagnitized. Overall good experience, which I would recommend to others.

The front desk staff was so AWESOME!! great place especially for the price my husband and I plan a trip back. Hopefully, by then they will have improved on the housekeeping. The buffet is good our first morning was great the staff was very friendly and accomodating however, the second morning was not so pleasant one woman could not even speak english […] and the one that could not even smile she acted liked we were imposing on her. Very comfortable, nice hotel. Guest room large and comfortable. Breakfast good variety with regular offered items (cereal, fruit, muffins, etc. and hot scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausage.

Stayed here for a one night stay between visiting with relatives and heading up to the Sierras. Nothing outstanding but convenient location and decent rates. It's your typical chain hotel amongst the suburban business/shopping areas. Didn't see much of the exterior as we wete here during "torrential rains". We were VERY pleased with this facility. It's close to the freeway, yet set on a quiet side street. The room was really nice, with a complete kitchenette. In the morning, there was a complimentary breakfast buffet, complete with "make your own waffles". The whole place had a quiet and relaxed feel. "Bad Experience, Don't stay here."
Terrible bad mood staff. I opened the door to a "Non Smoking" room and it smelled like someone blew cigarrette smoke in my face. Dingy towels. No black out curtains and woke up at night to neon lights at the furniture store right next door. Dirty carpet. No tv channels, couldn't watch game 3 or 4 of the world series. The maid didnt clean the room after […] the front desk called me to ask me and I said yes please clean up my room. The keys didnt work the 2nd day. At breakfast the staff watched you eat like guard dogs. I did not feel comfortable with my stay at this hotel so I recommend that you stay at one of the other nicer hotels in the area. "Great bargain."
This was a great hotel. Very comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was great, much better than I had anticipated for the price that we paid. We will definitely stay there again.
"Horrible Intenet Service"
I only have two complaints about this hotel. The first being that we were placed in a room right next to the stairs,and the second being that their internet service was the worst that I had ever experienced. The speed was worst than dial-up. Hotel was very close to Folsom Factory Outlets and mall. Literally right off I-50. Very good location. Rooms were clean and tidy. Not many parking spots. The only complaint is the towels are extremely rough. Usually hotel towels are a little rough, but these were like sand paper. I won't need to exfoliate for a while. "hawthorne suites Rancho Cordova CA"
This was to be a NO-SMOKING room. It was not! I could smell the cigarette smoke in the room. Room was hot, about 78 degrees, took a hour to cool it down. Breakfast was OK, not outstanding Service was good

"Easy, quick freeway access"
Right off the freeway for our traveling in several directions. The hotel was a very good bargain in these times. Rooms and staff very accessible and wanting to make sure all our needs were met.

"Hawthorn Suites in Rancho Cordova"
Very good location...just off the freeway, but close to restaurants and not too far from downtown. Hotel is in good condition but not excellent. A little touch up here and there would improve the condition. A little disappointed in the breakfast, but still better than most. Would definitely stay there again, and recommend to others.
"Cozy & Quiet"
Even as a pet friendly hotel, it was nice and quiet. Rooms were suites so was very spacious. Only disappointment was housekeeping left 1 set of towels (there were 2 people in the room) and continental breakfast wasn't all that great compared to others. Still great value for the money.

You get what you pay for. Overall the room was ok. During breakfast adn dinner, it was pver when the food ran out, which was shortly after if started. Front dest stafff was courtiousand friendly. The room was non smoking but stunk pretty bad. The hallways never had airconditioning so they were hot. Overall, It was ok. I will not stay there again though. […] I am not happy with ok. "Enjoyed our stay & it's a great value"
We were interested in a hotel that offered a complimentary breakfast & had a mini refridge. This provided both & the rate was very reasonable! Front desk assistance was good. Convenient location to Hwy. 50. There was a Starbucks, Quiznos & Mc D's as well as a few furniture retail stores within walking distance or a short drive.
"Perfect place to stay"
Room was large and comfortable. Hotel was close to fast food and fine dining. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. Less than 90 min to Tahie. Nice surrounding area to take a morning walk with my sweetie. Everything about this hotel was a 5 star in my book. Great job and I'll stay here again.
"Worn out & smelly room"
The furniture was worn and stained, the carpet thin and threadbare and the room smell like the tile floors had been mopped with old dirty water. We tried airing the room and the smell did'nt go away. I have no idea why this place gets such good ratings. I have stayed in other hotels with comparable rates and not one was as bad as this one.
"The Best Hotel"
I came to California for 9 days and stayed in several different Hotels and Lodges. This one by far was the lowest price and the most comfort. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The only down side was I couldn't figure out how to stuff the bed in my suitcase. A great great hotel.
