Nine Zero Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel - Boston

We're an older couple who thought the hotel might have been too trendy for us, especially on New Year's Eve. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was lovely and accommodating. We got a room on the upper floors which was certainly worth the extra charge. The view was great and the room was very comfortable. I cannot say enough kind things about the warm staff at this hotel. The airline delayed our luggage, and they gave us a full bag of toiletries, then left a quiet message on the phone alerting us when the bags arrived at 3:30 a.m. so that we knew as soon as we work. Could not have had a better time !

Nice hotel, quite small building but big rooms and clean, close to everything and friendly staff.

The only downside is we were initially put in a room where the only window looked into an air shaft - it was quite dark and depressing. The front desk person was nice enough to switch us to a higher up floor that was much better.

The best thing about the hotel is its location on Tremont, near the Common and on the Freedom trail. My room had a great view of the street and the historic burial grounds across the street. The hotel was quiet, and there was easy access to restaurants and the "T." The staff was friendly and helpful.

I was really looking forward to my stay. We had a late Dr. Appointment at Mass General and the location was perfect. Shannon was our receptionist and she was great. The valet guys were great, they let us leave the car with them for thirty minutes to get to the Hospital. The concierge was also great, looking for some sports tickets and events. That is […] where greatness ended. The two queen room was tight, the beds were hard as rocks. On the forth floor every glass bottle was heard being dumped into the dumpster. A dog was barking all night long next door. They had fuzzy blankets in the hotel and it got all over our clothes. It was like we were with a cat. KO restaurant was a disaster. My 10 oz filet looked the same as the 8 oz filet my son had. We asked how many people will be fed by an appetizer, the answer? I don't know. Ler mais

This place was great! Valet parking was pricey, so if you want to avoid that, use the public garage down the block and around the corner.

Very good location, waking distance for good restaurants, very comfortable room may be was a previously smoking room because still smell some but in general nice experience...

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and go out of their way to be helpful. A fun hotel. Had a great stay.

We decided at the last minute to spend the last night of our THanksgiving break in downtown Boston. We couldn't have picked a better hotel. The location is perfect - right at Boston Common, easy walk to the West End, next door to King's Chapel. The hotel staff was amazing - always willing to help with a restaurant recommendation, details on the nearest […] convenience store and in the morning answered my questions on a good running route. The guy on the desk Sunday night even asked us how our dinner was after we got back. Our only complaint was a fair amount of dirt in the bathroom that was missed by housekeeping, but everything else was perfect. Ler mais

My friends and I just stayed here for one night for Halloween and we were very pleased with the hotel. The amenities in the room were great, the bed is super comfortable, everything was clean and renovated, and the staff was amazing! We mentioned to Patricia at the front desk that it was my friend's birthday and she had chocolate covered strawberries […] and champagne sent up! Great, great hotel! Not necessarily in the most convenient area, but I would definitely stay here again! Ler mais

Very nice place to stay

In my 20th I did a lot of backpacking and was used to sleep in hostel rooms with light shaft windows only. Boston's Nine Zero Hotel offers that experience as well. But with minibar and for higher rates. Definitely not the atmosphere you estimate in such a Hotel.

These guys are great. I love Kimpton Hotels, but they people at this hotel are beyond AMAZING!!!

Shannon (front desk) and Thomas(concierge) were both wonderful - very helpful and welcoming. KO restaurant had great porterhouse (melt in our mouth) tender. Location near to South Station and Commons and Public Gardens made this great location for no cars!! Will return.

The hotel staff were all very helpful and accommodating. We travelled with a dog and a cat and they welcomed our pets as much as ourselves. Staff suggestions for restaurants and travel were excellent. The location is great, too. Rignt across from Boston Common. We will definitely come back when we stay in Boston.

than this; Perfect location, cool vibe, awesome service

We had very, very good time in the hotel. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. When we first checked in I didn't like where our room was overlooking and they change it for very nice room overlooking the main street. We were supposed to stay only 3 days, but our flight was cancelled because of the hurricane Irene and they were very helpful. The hotel […] gave us very good prices for the days we had to remain. At the end we stayed 10days in total and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel has free wine reception in the afternoon which is very pleasant if you're around at this time. If I go back to Boston, I would for sure choose again this hotel. Ler mais

Everything was perfect. Excellent service and location. The staff were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed with 2 kids (4 people). The hotel seems to cater more to the business than the leisure crowd but everything about our 3 day stay was great. Very friendly staff. Free wine for guests in the evening. Great and well appointed rooms. Fantastic location in the middle of everything without being too touristy. Nice hotel but expensive and has a charge for everything attitude from last century. Even the motel 6 has free coffee and does not charge $5/cup. Lots of little charges

Hgtel was great. From the moment we checked in until we left the staff was the warmest and most sincere that we have encountered in hotel staffs in ourt travels. They really made our stay there special. Even though our room was small, we had a great view and the location cannot be beat...across from the Boston Commons and a subway stop, easy walking […] to Back Bay, downtown and all the tourists sights. Excellent hotel, excellent location but above all excellent customer service

The hotel is 1 minute from Boston Common, a central and very nice park in Boston - and maybe the best cappuccino in Boston at the Thinking Cup. This a good location for a vacation, and it is right by a metro station. The room was large and comfortable with an ipod dock which is a nice touch.

My family and I really enjoyed the two nights we spent there. The check-in went smoothly. It was obvious they wanted us to be happy. We would definitely stay there again.

We had the fortune of being upgraded to a corner room on the 5th floor that had the Stanley Cup parade going right past. That was just the cherry on top for this amazing hotel. Our friends didn't get upgraded, but we saw their room and it was just as nice (just didn't have the view of the parade). The location is perfect. Walking distance to all the […] worthwhile Boston sights and scenes. The furthest walk we had was about 15 mins to prudential center. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff remember you and welcome you back as you walk through the doors. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I couldn't imagine a better hotel to stay at while visiting Boston. Price was actually surprisingly low compared to some of the other fancy hotels in Boston. Ler mais

The Nine Zero is perfectly located near the Bocton Commons and surrounding historic sites. There is also a T (subway) line about a block away that makes getting to locations farther afield a snap. The hotel was relatively quiet for one in the heart of a big citty- we could hear the church bells of the nearby church and occasional (less pleasant) sirens […] that were muffled (we were on the 5th floor). The staff was very helpful and we particularly appreciated the little touches, like bottles of water and the NYT in the lobby. The evening wine receptions were fun too! Ler mais

My husband and I search out Kimpton hotels wherever we go. We know we can be assured of a good setting, an extremely helpful staff, and great rooms. Hotel Nine Zero in Boston was no exception. This was our 4th stay here while my daughter attended Emerson College & we went this time for graduation. This is one of the few hotels in Boston that truly welcomes pets!! There is no surcharge nor are there limitations on the pet's size (or number). At the garage entrance, even water & biscuits are provided! You can request pet bowls & beds, but they've […] discontinued the pet food room service menu. Only a block & a bit away from the entrance to the Common, so easy dog walking. Food prices are steep, but cheaper coffee/eats available within a block. Free wine for an hour @ afternoon. Fabulous location - can walk towards everything; i.e. central downtown (towards the Pru center) or in the other direction to Quincy market/waterfront area. Usually charge for parking, but sometimes there are promos to park nc. We had a problem w/the A/C when we checked in & the engineer arrived literally 90 seconds after my call to the desk. One particular front desk clerk was not as efficient as usual on check out (requests for car/bellman not forwarded), but we were given a bottle of wine for our trouble. Ler mais

Stayed there for a week with my wife and youngster. The staff was very good to us -- accomodated a number of requests. The location is excellent -- right across from the Common, easy walk to Newbury Street, Charles Street, Faneuil Hall and most of the rest of downtown Boston. The T is handy too.
