Greensprings Vacation Resort - Williamsburg 37.26618, -76.79373

I highly recommend the Greenspring Resort. I originally wanted to stay closer to Colonial Williamsburg but everything was booked. I would definitely come back in the future. It was very clean, comfortable and lovely. If it had been summer, I would have enjoyed all the other activities they have to offer.

The hotel mixed up our reservations and put us in a room with two twin beds and a king, instead of the king and queen we requested. Once they fixed it the room was great, especially for the master suite, the jacuzzi tub was unbelievable. The other room left something to be desired after seeing the master suite though. And check in is really late and we arrived from out of town an hour early but there was no way to check in early according to them. Other then that the hotel was nice and quite.

This resort is like a home away from home. We only had one small issue that was resolved within the hour it was reported. The location is very convenient to most local attractions and less than an hour from the beach. I would with out a doubt stay here again.

The price, service and proximity to to all the Williamsburg area tourist destinations is perfect

We loved this place. Probably better and bigger than most people's homes. I especially loved the washer and dryer in the unit at no extra charge. Bring your own detergent and softner though.

Hotel room was old and one of the kitchen chirs was broken and the guest bathroom started to leak from the aircindition and we had to call for maintenance.

Upon check in we had one minor issue that was taken care of immediately by maintenance. The kitchen, and laundry room were a plus. I will return to this location without a doubt I highly recommend this place.

This was a clean, large condo room. there were 6 of us and we slept comfortably. although the king bed mattress was to lumpy and the springs squeeked every time you moved. There was not enough hot water for all 6 of us to take showers back to back. we did our own wash of towels while we were there too. it was great to have a washer and dryer right in the room. Overall the condo/rooms were claen and comfortable and we would definitly stay there again.

I was very pleased with the hotel and amenities. Loved the fact that the room had a vacuum and broom so that I could do minor cleanups during our stay.

The Greensprings Vacaton Resort was a very comfortable "home away from home" option for our 5 day vacation in Williamsburg. We really liked having the cooking facilities and the washer/dryer. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools on two occasions and liked the fact that the pools were open until 11:00 pm. The people in concierge were very friendly and informative.

no hot water for the first nite but the second nite it was fixed

This was more like a home than a rental. We thoroughly enjoyed this roomy and cheery place. Spent all our time at Busch Gardens but should have stayed at the rental to relax. An extra bonus was the washer & dryer (no money required). Stay at this place, you won't regret it!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a fully stocked kitchen (utensils, plates, bowls, etc). Refridgerator was clean and appliances were fairly new. Bedding was neat and comfortable. My boys stayed in a bedroom with twin beds and they slept in late. There was a lot of closet space. Everything in the bathrooms were operational. Lighting was adequate, throughout the condo. Pool area and facilities throughout were clean and maintained well. Cleanliness is very important to our family and these accomadations made the grade!

We traveled with 2 small grandchildren and our daughter. We were looking for two rooms in an area convenient to Busch Gardens with a pool when we discovered this condo! It was great. We especially enjoyed the accessibility of the outdoor pool. Our unit was a little outdated in decor, but was very clean and well-equipped. We were asked only once to attend a time-share presentation, but declined due to the kids' naps. I had read in a review before booking that the request to attend a presentation was low key, and it was! Wish we'd had more time to enjoy all the resort's amenities. Would definitly consider staying here again!

I have stayed at Greensprings Vacation Resort several times over the past 4 years. However, this is the first time I have serious problems with this resort. Normally the rooms are very clean and the property/room are well maintained and furnished. However, my room has a cracked/broken window... the patio screen door and entry door were broken and would not lock. The entry door to my unit had screws missing on the lock causing it to fall off on the 2nd day of my. We called the front desk and the man came to repair it within 5 minutes. However, he claimed they didn't have screws small enough to fit in the holes to secure the locks. He simply laid the piece back and place and tried to reassure us everything would be ok. The bed linen and towels had hair on them and discoloration. The sofa sleeper was completely worn out in spots (arm rest and cushions) and discolored. Scuff marks and scratches were all over the walls. The shower had hair on the walls. The ceiling was a bit buckled in the master bathroom looking like water from the unit above may have leaked into the bathroom prior to our visit. We have NEVER had and experience like this at this property. We were told the owners of the property (from the staff) that the new owners that recently purchased the property is Diamond Resorts. However, we were disappointed. The grounds are still well kept and the pool, playgrounds, and play areas are still nice... however, they need to work on repairing and updating the rooms.. so that all of their rooms will be nice like they used to be. I am hoping that my one time experience is not the norm and that they will fix the problems in that particular room to keep the property the nice place it has been in the past.

Very quiet location. Very easy to get to attractions.

Booked for two weekend nights. Its a bit in the middle of nowhere, but easy enough to find still. The front gate security was friendly and helpful, and certainly conveyed a positive sense of safety. Check-in was fast enough - we had called earlier in the day to request an early check-in and they said they would speak with housekeeping to get the room ready earlier. We arrived (as we stated) at 2PM, and were told the room wasn't ready yet. They called our cell at 3:30 to let us know the room was ready. On check-in, the room was spacious, well-appointed, and the balcony was large with a nice scenic view. Albeit, our room was on the far end of the resort, so we were quite a ways away from the pool/clubhouse. Our only complaints about the room: we killed two ants in the kitchen and one in the living room right after we checked in, but never saw anymore. And, the second BR didn't have a TV. Not a big problem, but a small inconvenience. Maid service is available for a fee only... we only stayed two days, so we passed. Check-out is at 10AM, which is a bit early, and they are sticklers about it. Overall, we would certainly stay there again, but might specifically request a room closer to the clubhouse next time.

This hotel exceeded our expectations - with 5 of us, lots of room to spread out and be together. Note that rooms are in condo-type facilities with no elevators which took a little longer to lug all our luggage and stuff up to top floor.

Stayed there over the weekend with some friends and it was great. The place was very nice and spacious. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is like a town house or apartment. I had a two bedroom which was very spacious.The master bedroom was the best with a master bathroom that was fit for a King, with his and hers sinks.Beautiful tiles and mirrors all over.The whole unit was extremely clean.This is my third time at this resort, I will be back !!!!

A/C froze up 1 time but was corrected imidiately. The hot tubs were unsatisfactory. Only half the jets in the indoor tub worked, the outdoor tub didn't even have jets and both were not hot enough. Everything else was great, I would stay here again.

We have stayed at many resorts/timeshares in Williamsburg, VA yearly. This was by far, the nicest we have seen anyway.

Lots of space with three children. Lots to do. Wish we had longer to stay.

We were travelling with my husband's cousin and her husband. We were able to rent a unit with two bedrooms and two baths, kitchen, dining, and living rooms. It was an awsome place. We even decided to stay another night and they were nice enough to give us the hotels.com rate. There were a few maintenance issues, but we told the front desk about them. It was very clean and very comfortable. We were not hasseled about buying a unit there as some of the other reviewes indicated. It is only minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and the other historic sites in the area. The location is great. It would be great for parents and a couple of children.

We were traveling with the in-laws and two children. All six of us had ample space and the hotel was extremely clean, comfortable & convenient.

Very comfortable room and accomodations. Great center of town location makes it easy to get to any location in Williamburg within 15 minutes. Second bedroom doesn't have a tv. It should. The master bedroom has a VCR player rather than DVD player. The VCR player is of little use. The resort rents DVD's but not VCR's.

This was like driving onto a beautiful southern plantation estate! Our rooms were more than perfect! We look forward to visiting here again in the future. The only disappointment was that the activities advertised as available until 10 p.m. really are not. After a day in Colonial Williamsburg, we were looking forward to a relaxing evening of activities back at the resort, but were told the staff is not on site after 8 p.m., so, for instance, the golf we wanted to play at 8 p.m. was not available. So, go for the beautiful accommodations but be aware the advertised activities might not really be available for you.

We loved our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a full kitchen! The unit was clean and well appointed. Traveling with 3 teenagers is always a challenge and having a nice, large place made it enjoyable for all. Great stay!

The room was very spacious and I loved using the jacuzzi in my bathroom. The bed was comfy as well, and the service was good. As someone else said, there's a low pressure request to hear their time share spiel, but it's not overbearing. Just remember that the hotel is usually a time share and NOT like a regular hotel. That means there's no restaurant on site, which means no room service. You can economize though, by bringing all your own food and drinks. The full kitchen was great. My daughter (aged 7) loved the indoor pool. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool, but it looked nice. They need to update the TV in the living room to a flatscreen bigger TV, but this is minor. You also have to pay for wi-fi in the rooms--VERY 20th century, but common in timeshares. Besides those negatives we enjoyed staying there and highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel, one of the newer versions that try to bring the feel of being home to you when your away from home. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment style. Full kitchen, living room, and dining area with washer and dryer. This is the kind of place you enjoy staying, and is definitely worth paying the extra amount rather than going on vacation and cramming four people into a room with two beds and one bathroom, like your standard hotel. This offers all the comforts of home, without being at home. The downside was in the master bathroom, the shower door wasn't sliding correctly when we got there, but a quick maintenance visit later and everything worked fine. What I would caution future visitors about is that they call you daily to come to their seminars where they try to entice you to buy into your resort. Some might not mind this, but I think it would be more appropriate to call once and not harass the visitors the rest of their visit.

Traveling with 3 youngs can be difficult when staying in standard hotel rooms. Greensprings was wonderful. We all had our space to relax and enjoy each other as well as Colonial Williamsburg. The indoor pool was a highlight for the kids. We were able to cook our meals at the resort and then spend a few hours in the pool every evening. We were so pleased that we are hoping to stay there again at Thanksgiving with more family.

While a bit further away from Colonial Williamsburg then other hotels, the amenities and comfort of a timeshare condo are worth it. The price wasn't bad either.

I was hesitant about staying at this resort based on some of the reviews. However, I haven't had an issue when I've stayed at resort hotels in the past. I reserved the 2-bedroom for half price and I received more than what I paid for. First of all, the resort made me feel secure. Not only did they have the gated entrance, it had the key-card access for each building. The accommodations reminded me of an apartment/condo. There was enough room for people to spread out. The amount I paid for the room was the same amount that other hotels charge for regular hotel rooms. The master bedroom also had the iPod alarm clock radio. The only improvements I would make would be to put a DVD player in the master bedroom instead of the VCR player. There is a DVD player in the living room. Also, the 10AM checkout time was a little early for me.

This is a timeshare resort owned by diamond resorts. It met all of our expectations, I was a little scared after reading some of the old reviews about pool construction and mouse droppings. None of them proved to be true for us. The pool was updated to meet the higher expectations of diamond resorts(they have only owned to property for 2 years). We had a great time at the indoor pool and spa. No bugs, rodents or any other friends found. Room was very clean. We did attend the 2 hour timeshare meeting and toured an updated unit....I would guess in the future all of the units will be updated....overall a great place to stay.

The resort was gorgeous and definitely a 5 star hotel. My husband and I really needed to spend some quality time together and didn't want to go to far away from home and decided on this place. We struck gold! It was so romantic. If you want to just get away and spend quality time w/your loved one...this is the place. I will definitely return and next time we'll bring the girls. It was unbelievable...definitely a lovers' paradise.
