The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are fantastic The in-dining room selections & hours are unparalleled. But the part I appreciated most about my stay was that the staff consistently appeared to genuinely enjoy their work and were so friendly. Not like its an expensive hotel and I have to kiss your a- a genuine sense of welcoming to their home and to […] please make yourself at home. I was very impressed with that level of service. It's a short taxi cab ride to shopping or the tourist attractions. But there are several places to eat within walking distance. Being in the financial district there is not much going on in the streets or cafe's on the weekend; which I rather enjoyed the stillness, knowing any other place I was going to in the city will surely be overcrowded with tourists. Plain and good enough. Good service. Rooms in the back are facing closely the windows of an office building, but still a better choice if you don't like street noise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay atthe Omni. Great service, renovated rooms, terrific location. Hotel restaurant not so great, but preferred to dine at other wonderful SF restaurants anyway.

The Omni in San Fran. was nice, but, we had to wait for our room at check in. It wasn't ready even though when we registered we reported that we were part of a wedding group. Also after we did get in the room, a hotel worker came in to check the bar from the previous guest.....not too cool.... But the milk and cookies and turn down service was pretty […] nice! Leia mais

Not a spectacular location for eating attractions (best bet is Chinatown or Little Italy, which are a few blocks away, or the Ferry Building about a mile east), and the accommodations look like something your rich grandmother would've thrown together in 1972. Stayed here because I was running the Bridge to Bridge 12k. It was close to the start of the race as well as close to everything else. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were super clean and super comfortable!

"the Omni San Francisco Hotel offers modern amenities in a boutique ambiance due to its Florentine Renaissance architecture. We had drinks in Bob's Bar and dinner in the restaurant. Of course […] it was pricey, that's to be expected. Recommended. The only problem we had was the hvac was quite audible in our room. [the only reason I didn't score it 5]. We booked at the last minute, and were glad to get a room, so we went with it [most hotels were totally booked]. From the morning coffee/tea/juice in your room to the apples in the lobby in the mid-afternoon it is all of the extras at make this hotel a true joy and respite in the middle of a bustling city. Excellent walkable and safe location in SF. I will stay nowhere else if possible next time in San Francisco.

I only stay at 4 and 5 star hotels when at all possible and expect a high degree of service especially when their is a high level of competition in the area for my business. However, when a hotel insists that instead of just holding my bags they find me a room to check into at 9:00 AM when I arrive a full 6 hours before check in time on a busy day ... […] that is customer service. only one complaint was the cost of the daily valet parking was very expensive.

Second time at this hotel and I absolutely loved it. Close to everything, great staff, great bar, nice room.

The Omni San Francisco is a great hotel. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and we will definitely stay there again when we return for our next visit. Great hotel. Reasonable walk to sights, shopping and restaurants. Talk to Joey to arrange tours. He was very helpful and wonderful to deal with.

I took three teen grandsons there for four days and four nights...the hotel and staff were very special...only problem...breakfast cost 95 bucks one morning....last morning we ate there....:)

We recently stayed there for 2 nights and made the reservation through hotels.com. I specifically chose this hotel because I needed 2 rooms each with 2 double beds and this configuration is not available at all hotels. When I arrived the check-in desk told me that they had no doubles available and she would give me 2 rooms with kings and a cot. I told […] her that I needed to speak with a manager and she then said she found one of the two rooms. I don't understand this approach and I think it's really unfair to expect a guest to sleep on a cot when they made the appropriate reservation in the first place. Leia mais

Lovely historic hotel. Great location near the Pier and Ferry Buildings. Our room was very quiet. Could use some extra pillows on the bed, but very comfortable and clean. Service was very polite and efficient at check in.

Luxury without pretension, conveniently located to all the must see sights. The staff meets all your needs and always with a smile. Rooms are quite nice & extremely comfortable. A bit pricey, but worth it.

The strength of this hotel is its staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely pleasant and helpful. If you are traveling on vacation, be aware that the hotel is located in the business district so most nearby shops are closed by early evening. However, it is very convenient to trolleys and bus lines, and within walking distance of Union Square and […] the Ferry Building, so this was not much of an issue for us. What a wonderful place, so lucky I found it on the internet, and very reasonably priced (perhaps because it was the weekend and it is in the business district), which was fine. Highly recommend it, beautiful building very welcoming, lovely rooms. Lorraine - Australia

Absolutely the most cohesive and genuinely friendly staff I have ever experienced. Everyone was dedicated to making our stay wonderful. We were there with 6 teens and they all had a great time. The milk and cookies brought up to their room later was a particular hit. A very well run hotel!

We loved this hotel! First of all, the staff here is first rate. The concierge helped us with getting directions to places around the city plus they helped us get restaurant reservations. The hotel lobby is gorgeous with a HUGE fresh bouquet of flowers as the centerpiece. The room was clean and very comfortable. The linens were top rate and the bed […] and pillows were very comfortable. The only down side, and its not really a down side, is that the hotel is a little far from fishermans warf and since its in the financial district many of the restaurants in this neighborhood are closed on the weekend. However the staff can easily direct you to a quality restaurant nearby. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Leia mais

Night noise marred our one night stay as did a delivery at 11:10 PM. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location.This is definitely a deal if you can cope with the road noise outside.

everything was great...the only issue was the AC thermostat was not working right..constantly having to make it colder to keep the room comfortable..but everything else was great..

We had just two nights at the Omni in SF's financial district. The staff were great as was the food both via room service and in Bob's Steak and Chop House downstairs. We had to pay for wifi which is a little annoying since even little motels are now providing it for free. The sooner large hotel join the real world and supply wifi at no charge the better. […] AND after we'd paid for a connection for the laptop, we would have had to pay more for iPhone connections after that. The Omni is a very nice hotel in a good location. We were able to walk to the Warf (about 35-40 minute walk down Columbus street) and the Ferry Building is only a few blocks away (the farmers market on Saturday morning was amazing). Also within walking distance to Union Square shopping and cable car rides. Staff was very professional and extremely helpful. […] Room was comfortable, but we weren't there much. We arrived in the Omni San Francisco in the morning after almost 20 hours on the plane, and were delighted that we could check in early. They provide tea and apples in the lobby- lovely touch! The staff were very warm and friendly, we could not have asked for more. They took pains to give us directions to where we were going and also were quick to give […] suggestions to the sights around town. The room was comfortable and room service was delightful. This hotel is located in the financial district but Union Square is just round the corner, this suited us just fine as we preferred a quite neighbourhood. Beautiful hotel. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.

first off: the service was amazing. all the reviews were correct on the location and quality of service BUT, what i found most unsettling was the absolutely limp pillows and tiny hair dryer. Both might as well have been props because they weren't actually functional. We may have gotten an 'off' room, but I was not impressed and will not risk another […] experience by returning back. We found all the employees at this hotel very friendly and helpful. We came for the Bay to Breaker's race and were very pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable and accomodating the staff was to our needs. On the morning of the race, the staff was up early serving coffee, handing out bananas and playing the theme to Rocky in the background. The concierge […] Lex was fantastic and amazingly got us into a great restaurant the night before the race. This is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms, friendly and efficient staff and a decent location not far from the financial district or Union Square. We went to participate in Bay to Breakers and found it to be an easy walk to the start. For the price we paid we didn't have much of a view, but everything else was topnotch.

hotel was pretty good, although they didnt warn me i was going to receive a $50/night preauth on my credit card, ice bucket liner wasnt replenished, and the cleaning staff kept leaving cutesy little "notes" thanking me for staying with them, etc (i.e. give me a tip). Ok so the hotel was nice but upon checking in the hotel informed me even though I had paid for the room in full through hotels.com they insisted I pay a $150 deposit. That was not disclosed to me when I booked and I find that very upsetting. Now I've been back for 4 days and they still have not refunded my deposit. Horrible policy.
