Le Meridien Angkor - Siem Reap

There are many 4 star hotels in Angkor Wat, which is much cheaper. And the gym room's equipment are from last century.

Serious issue at Check In. First hour was very difficult Duty Manager tried really hard to solve the issue and made us feel very special during the entire stay. Top guy Great Hotel satff and pretty good hotel overall

This use to be a top 5 star until they started catering to major Chinese bus tour groups and forgot what 5 star is like. Absolutely a waste of the money considering the overall service. Head straight to Sofitel if you are going to Ankgor and pass this place.

We've stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It's been great. Very close to Angkor Wat, nice swimming pool, great breakfast. Right after we arrived, during check-in, the General Manager of the hotel came over to greet us, than he opened a map and pointed to us many great restaurants, ice-cream places, music shops, night markets, even street food places. We […] had a private guide, but we tried few of places the manager recommended and all of them were great. The rooms are very clean, service is great. We were two families with small children, but thanks to the location of the hotel, we could chill by the pool with kids in the middle of the day for few hours and still see plenty of temples, museums etc. We highly recommend it. We really enjoyed our stay at Meridian Angkor. The best: the pool and the restaurant ( we did not try the spa). As other guests have noted, the breakfast is a must. During our stay the chef had an excellent special ("New Year") Khmer menu: a must try if you get the chance. The staff was very helpful. In particular, a guy called Kong organized our tour […] to the temples and gave excellent recommendations for dinner. We followed their recommendation twice: 1) we went to a place serving local food and showing traditional dancing but I can't remember the name 2) we also eat downtown Siam Reap at the Champay restaurant (after we tried and failed to find something as good by just wandering around). If you need a reliable and flexible english guide to the temples ask for SoPaul ( aka Paul) . We also liked one tuk-tuk driver very much: Mr Chin. We booked a standard room ( I think they call it superior room). If you can, book something more upscale. The room was clean but there was something inconvenient about the design: the bathroom was separated from the room only by some sort of frenchdoors, which made it very uncomfortable for two people. Minuses: internet was not free and although the price was not high, it is inconvenient to pay for it ( you need to ask for access code, determine the number of hours, etc)- this is a clear nuisance, especially for a hotel that wants to be of high quality. Lastly, the opening hours for the pool could be longer. Other than this, expect good room & bar service, and good location. The staff is well trained to please tourists and accommodate their needs. Located close to the main attraction (Angkor Wat) and high quality rooms and food. Very helpful and friendly staff who will organise excursions for you and be helpful with what things should cost. Also offers a good swimming pool and gym. I can really recommend this hotel for anyone looking to see Angkor Wat and wants to have the modern comfort.

The proximity to Angkor Wat enabled us to easily return to the hotel during the day of our tour of the temples for breaks. The facility was beautiful and the service was excellent.

The staffe of this hotel is competence.

This hotel is a little out of town but is worth while staying in for the service and hotel quality. We found it an enjoyable tuk tuk ride each nite in to town for a little cost and was actually glad to be out of town for a quiet location. Beautifully appointed, very comfortable rooms and good service. Well located a little out of town. Excellent pool. The only negative is the prevalence of smokers / places where smoking is allowed, INCLUDING part of the dining facilities.

The food was fantastic. The service was awesome. This was truly a 5 star hotel experience.

The hotel staff was outstanding, the hotel was awesome. But I booked at one price and when you add up the breakfast and internet the total cost was 35% higher

absolutely beautiful place, incredible service, good food, beautiful pool, great spa, good location... overall perfect!

車やトゥクトゥクを利用していると立地はそんなに気になりませんが、自転車で遺跡観光をした時には一番近いホテルでよかったと思いました。部屋やスタッフの対応に不満はありません。可もなく不可もなく。でも常に日本人がいてくれるのは安心感がありました。トゥクトゥクを呼ぶのから値段交渉までしてもらえました。片道２ドルと思ったより安かったです。ロビーのアフタヌーンティとイタリアンのお店を利用しましたがどちらも美味しかったです。朝食も種類が多く目移りしてしまい、ついつい食べ過ぎてしまいました。２泊だけだったので食べあきることはありませんでした。お目当てだったプールは思ったよりも小さかったです。泳いでいるのは私達ともう一組の親子だけだったので問題はありませんでしたが。また仕方がないとは思いますが、虫がいっぱい浮 […] いているので顔をつける気にはなれませんでした。このお値段と思えば、全体的に大満足です。 Leia mais

遺跡に近く、遺跡巡りが中心の方にはお勧めのホテルです。ホテルでトゥクトゥクや車の手配をしましたが、どの運転手さんも礼儀正しく、謙虚な方達で、お金をボラれることはありませんでした。 とにかく、思っていたより、カンボジアの方達は擦れていなくて、純粋で優しい方達が多いことに驚きました。 もちろん、ダウンタウンに行けば、ボラれそうになりましたが、結局は安くしてくれるので、その駆け引きを楽しんだ感じです。インドやタイに比べたら、全然極楽でした。 あ、ホテルの感想でしたね。遺跡巡りには、メリディアンか、ソフィテルが便利だと思います。

10カ国ほど旅しましたが、一番快適にすごせました。他国で５ツ星などもチャレンジしましたが、高級感を味わえる以外は中級クラスやモーテルに泊まった方がよかった。と感じることが多かったです。しかし、こちらはスタッフのサービスと笑顔がとてもよかったです。日本人スタッフも国内と変わらないサービスとお世話をしてくださりました。レストランの味もGoodでした。また、オプショナルツアーの紹介なども、ホテル料金でなく、日系旅行会社に直接申し込むより、安くすみました。私の場合家族で大型車（ハイエースクラス）を１台チャーター、日本語ガイド付きで半日＄50でした。 また、帰りのタクシー代も含め、支払いが全てチェックアウトに清算できるの便利でした。あとレイトチェックアウトが２時まで無料だったのもうれしかったです。最後 […] の日は半日観光し、シャワーを浴びて夕方の便に乗れました。 Leia mais
