We really liked the Orchard Hotel-- the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, the location was convenient to Union Square and to the theaters, and the hotel works hard to be 'green' as well. We have always had an excellent stay. Great staff. The doorman in particular both day and evening. However it is time to upgrade your TV's. The font desk staff was accommodating when I requested an upgrade.

hotel is well located to public transportation, quiet and clean. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous.

Decided to party on New years Eve and wanted to stay in a central location where we could walk to our destination. We lucked up on a room at the Orchard Hotel jus a few blocks from our party. The Hotel room was spacious, clean and had a great "San Francisco" feel to it, with it's furnishings. Also had great customer service. My wife & I just spent three days at the Orchard Hotel and we were extremely pleased with with the room, the hotel and the location. Our room was lovely and clean. The location is amazing. Great location for Union Square area. Lots of places to eat/drink. View from our room was disappointing. The bed was super comfy. The hotel was very quiet and we heard no outside traffic. Staff were very sweet.

Tlhe location of this hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the SF area. Chinatown and Union Square are an easy walk. Within six blocks, you can catch the Bart, cable car, trolley and/or bus to most any scenic location. Excellent location with the cable car right on the doorstep (it's literally just around the corner). It's within walking distance of union square (i recommend taking the cable car back to the hotel, it's a steep climb uphill!). Beds are comfy and room nice,clean and spacious!

Could not fault anything about this hotel we would always stay here when visiting San Fran

It was so nice to have such large rooms and especially in the bathroom! The location was fabulous -walking distance from Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, downtown shopping, etc. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed very comfortable and quiet nights there. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Excellent hotel in good location close to shopping and transport

This hotel has everything going for it except for ownership. During our last day in San Francisco, the hotel began remodeling work in the dining room. unfortunately, the work continued well past 10:00 pm and only slowed down because of the numerous complaints from guest trying to sleep - the only real reason for a hotel room. Other guests and i were […] basically told we were unwelcome at the hotel by a woman later described to me as one of the owners of the hotel. Work did continue as i heard it until at least 3:00 am - although much toned down from the hammering that had gone on before. for someone in the hospitality business to not even apologize for the noise is totally unacceptable. although our room was on the second floor, others were disturbed who were on the seventh floor. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in San Francisco. The room was lovely and spacious. It had a very comfortable bed with high thread-count sheets and a down comforter. The bathroom was sparkling clean and large with great towels. The hotel was very nice. The room was large and the bathroom was big compared to most hotels. Cornell was very nice and gave great directions to everything we needed.

1st time visiting San Francisco... This hotel was the great place to stay in... Early check in and great location . Very helpful staff... Will be back in SF next year and already booked my hotel at Orchard Hotel!

I booked this hotel for a little get away I had planned for my wife and I. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a great time walking around the surrounding area and there were some great places to eat! I would definetly recommend this place to anyone and we will be going back.

This smaller hotel was perfect for our weekend in San Francisco. The room was larger than most hotel rooms in the city. The staff was very friendly and gave good suggestions on food and gettIng around. We would stay at the Orchard again in a heartbeat.

Great value to stay in San Francisco. We booked months in advance through Hotels.com and got a great rate. When I was at the front desk using their internet service I heard the clerk turning people away at twice what we paid. (no vacancy) You don't come to SF to sit in your room. The rooms are nice and the hotel is centrally located.

We had been staying at hotels in the same price range and enjoyed so much less. At the Orchard the rooms are exceptionally large, spotlessly clean, and staffed by gracious individuals who go out of their way to be helpful. And the price was exceptionally reasonable. 2 blocks from trolly stop, very close to china town. Front desk was very helpful. Good hotel...I was a little dissapointed there was not pool/hot tub but other than that a good place to stay. Hotel restaurant was very good.

Had a nice 3 night stay at The Orchard... Nohthing totally upscale here but a great great place to stay in San Francisco.. Clean rooms and good location are the key and they have them both..

Pleasant helpful staff, comfortable rooms. Good level of cleanliness, (except for the outside windows!). Would have preferred a kettle rather than a coffee maker - but that is a minor niggle. An enjoyable stay all round.

We enjoyed our stay and walked everywhere, from the Hotel to the Port Bldg to Pier 41 and Fisherman's warf, but I would not recommend it unless you are good at walking. Hotel staff nice and friendly. Would have like them to tell us about the amenities. We did not ask for the fitness room until the last evening. Only 1 Internet computer in the lobby […] for guests to use, but not very guest friendly. We had requested 1 bed but had 2 smaller ones instead. Overall happy Ler mais

Excellent hotel to stay.The location was 50 ft or so from cable car stop (could not hear any noise from the cable car in our room) and about three blocks from the gates of Chinatown. We parked about 30 ft from the main door and walked up to check in then the asst manager walked down with me and helped me unload 4 suitcases to bring up to the lobby.as […] I was doing the paper work he loaded them on a cart and took they up to our room with my wife(4bags because we were on a 3 week vacation and a 10 day cruise) Where do you see that?? The location of Orchard Hotel in Union Square, SFO was perfect for us because it is in the heart of the city, the center where the action is!

overall location is outstanding. walk or take cable car eveywhere. the staff is wonderful and very attentive. Mrs. Hueng, owner, intorduced herself and could not have been more gracious.

We really loved our room...The bed was wonderful and we slept like babies.... The bathroom was clean and the hot water was nice and hot and didn't take it but a few seconds to get hot. Over all we loved it!

Booked through hotels.com - good hotel and good rate. Orchard is part way up Nob Hill along Powell Street. Room was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. Older TV but otherwise 4 star quality. Would definitely stay again.

The stay at the Orchard Hotel was most enjoyable for me. The location was in an area close to all the sites that San Francisco has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. If I ever return to San Francisco I will certainly stay at the Orchard Hotel.

Very convenient to Union Square, Chinatown and Cable Car is right at the corner. The room meets the standard requirements.

Cute hotel within 5 mins walk to Union Square, Chinatown, north Beach etc. very easy to get to Fishermans wharf. Make sure you book a wine tasting tour of Napa and Sonoma, it was an amazing day!

I stayed in the St, Francis for a weekend wedding last month, and just did not care for the big hotel atmospere, long wait for the elevator, and sometime no room to get in. I love the Orchard and the price was nice through hotel.com. The room was big, looked almost new. The elevators were in front of front desk, so I felt safe. We don't go to SF very often so we weren't sure of the location, but it turned out to be very nice. It was an easy walk to Chinatown and that was one place we wanted to explore. The cost of the parking was the only shocker. We neglected to read the fine print when we were booking. That said, we discovered that the parking fee was pretty standard. The […] width of the room felt a bit small, but not cramped. We had a king bed and there was room for a TV cabinet with dresser below as well as a desk and and a lounge chair. Our room overlooked an alley, so I can't say much about the view which was probably better on the street side, but may also have been noisy. The alley was quiet. I would book there again, but next time I'd stay at least one more day (we only stayed one night). Ler mais
