Best Western Pasadena Inn - Pasadena 34.14627, -118.077

Overall it was ok; just ok. Nothing was horrible, but it was nowhere near as nice as other comprably priced hotels we stayed in other parts of So CA this trip. They recently wallpapered our room, so it looked nice, but it had a strong musty smell. I'm glad they didn't try to drown it out with air fresheners which would have only added to the problem. It was unclear whether they had water damamge and the mustiness ( & new wallpaper) was a result, or if some mold had built up in the AC. The rest of the motel facilities are a bit rundown. (office/eating area, laundry, exterior) We had breakfast just one day because it ends at 9, and it's just as well as breakfast was pretty bad. Free internet was nice. It isn't a place to run screaming from, but I wouldn't revisit it or recommend it to others.

Hotel room was really nice clean and bed was very comfortable. Hotel location was very convenience to our workshop destination in Pasadena Old Downtown. The only thing I find kind of inconvenience was the breakfast room was too small and to crowded with no room to serve breakfast without having to bump into another person while serving breakfast or have to wait until people moved out of the way.

Nice value for the dollar! Best part was the staff. Very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Rooms are small but clean. Decent pool/hot tub area. I'll stay there again.

Hotel is nice & clean. Better than expected room conditions. Continental breakfast has different variaties. You can make fresh pancake on your own, it's great. I would love to visit next time when I am in town.

Room was slightly outdated, but very comfortable.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The price was excellent and the room was clean and otherwise quite satisfactory.

We were visiting Cal Tech, and this motel was both affordable and convenient.

The hotel heater did not work and I arrived very late at night and was not willing to call the front desk and wait up even longer to have the heater serviced or change rooms. In the morning I looked at the heater for a closer look and noticed the plug was not in the wall all the way and was not in a location that would have easily be knocked out of the receptacle. When I mentioned to the hotel clerk that heater did not work he said under his breath I'm sorry. very weak response. I did not see him enter in the computer the heater needed assistance or anything.

Area for the breakfast was tight and limited in the selection.

Nice size room and convenient for my business. A little noisey, but that can be expected on a busy street. The matress was not the best. I would suggest flipping every month like we do at home.

This is the second time I've stayed there. It's comfortable and affordable.

We were there for 3 nights. The room was completely satisfactory; bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good but not great: better than a traditional "Continental Breakfast" as it had make-your-own waffles along with an assortment of packaged muffins, fruit, cereal, and juice, but not fantastic as they had a pretty limited choice of cereals and did run out of fruit. Overall it was an excellent experience for a very reasonable cost.

Expected a lot better from Best Western. It was more like a Motel 6. Good price on the room. I guess thats why they put us in a noisy room. If we did not put on the AC/HEAT we would not have been able to sleep with all the street traffic noise. When we got there, we did not have any cold water. We just drove in from Phoenix. So instead of transferring us to another room they called maintenance to fix the problem. It would have not been a problem if we had somewhere to go, we just wanted to take a shower and a nap before we went out on the town. They fixed it,but it took 30 minutes.

The staff were very friendly. My only problems with the room was the A/C did not work properly took several hours to cool down the room, and the shower hot water did not get real hot.

I was in LA on business and decided to stay out in Pasadena to get away from the city. While the traffic getting out to the hotel was horrendous during rush hour, the hotel was very well maintained, the staff was extremely helpful, and the room was very clean. The price was also perfect!

They let us check early, a good 3 hrs before normal check in time Great contental breakfast Defently go there again!!

The first room we were given had stains on the bed sheets. When the office was informed of this, we were immediately given another room with apologies. Stains not withstanding, we had good service and a good price for the area.

Be aware that check-out is at 11 AM. The location turned out to be a lot better than expected. It would have been more ideal if were slightly closer to Old Pasadena, but that would have likely brought the price up. This is accommodations here are fairly basic but the fact that every looks new, is very clean, the shower heads are very good, and the room is a nice size: I see no reason why I wouldn't return in the future. As long as you aren't looking for something high-end, this is an excellent option. Internet access (either wired or wireless) is free although one out of the three nights I stayed: the internet connection was down. I do not know the cause (it is possible that it was their provider: hence not being a fault of the hotel management). The lack of internet access on my final night of stay was the only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars as I had no other complaints.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The room is a bit pricey but it was of good quality and pretty close to hollywood and burbank (universal studios, NBC). I enjoyed the breakfast since they had a mini-belgium waffle maker. Also has coin operated washer and dryer which is convenient. Overall neighborhood is nice and along the route of the Rose Parade. Already see them setting up bleachers down the block. Didnt have trouble w/ traffic to get to/from pasadena which is nice.

Very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Felt safe during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it's right off the 210 freeway.

I had a large, clean room with a few amenities (iron, hair dryer, HBO). Good location near Gold Line. Excellent value for the rate I paid.

Mattress was too hard and my arms fell asleep and made my back hurt. The milk was sour on the continental breakfast three mornings in row despite two phone calls to the front desk to change. They did find some fresh milk one of the mornings, but the bad stuff was back out the third morning. They changed it again per my request but still sour? The whole shipment was bad and they didn't seem to understand that. Hmmmmm????

The thing I would've liked to have while staying there is a microwave in the room, there's plenty of room for one. The parking spaces seemed a little close together too, and it was a weak continental breakfast. The internet worked fine, even though it was not encrypted, they had at least 5 access points so you could always get a good signal. It was a little confusing driving into the "Best Western" next door, There are two of them right next to each other, minor detail though. Ha, and one more thing. The toilet in the bathroom is very powerfull, reminds me of an airplane toilet, Every time I'd flush it I would jump a little from the sudden noise.

It has a refrigerator but no microwave, so if you need to reheat something, you're out of luck. The parking was very minimal, and we had to wait for a while for someone to leave. Overall, it was a good value for the price, and I would stay there again if it was only for a night.

Undergoing improvements so parking was crowded, but the staff was VERY helpful and friendly especially in being able to give directions. Hotel staff in general was very pleasant. Room was clean, AC worked great, not a lot of frills, but can't really expect that for the price, which was a great deal.

A/C is not working, too noisy.
