Hotel excelente, próximo ao metrô, a Time Square, a 5a Avenida, da Broadway e cercada de bons restaurantes. A limpeza e arrumação do quarto impecáveis. A única ressalva foi não conseguirmos early check-in.

O hotel fica perto de quase todos os teatros, da Time e, é um dos melhores para andar à pé pela 5ª Avenida, inclusive super fácil de ir até o Central Park. Recomendo.

I had always wanted to stay in this hotel, but the price was beyond my means. However, one day I found a great deal with Hotels.com and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Okay, I was all by myself in NYC this time so I tend to overreact when it comes to people's coldness. Still, I do believe this hotel lacks warmth in treating its guests. People at the front desk were polite but not an inch more than that. Contacts were strictly procedural, which by the way is a rather uncommon thing for this hotel category, where staff […] usually is a little bit more enthusiastic when they’re at your service. In one of the nights, a distant fire alarm went on somehow and I woke up to an announcement in French (?!) on the loudspeaker inside my room. After it repeated the same statement a few times I decided to call the reception for instructions and the answer was SO BLASÉ... It was a false alarm, you can go back to sleep now. No I-am-sorries or excusez-mois whatsoever! Anyway, the location couldn't be better but make sure you know exactly where the hotel is because you can walk past it without noticing it's actually there since the facade is so narrow. The lounge decoration is a little bit over but won't bother you too much if you try not to look at it. The room is big and comfortable (Bose alarm radio!) and the linens are super soft but the closet could be larger and the bathroom, well, it could be a lot better. Part of the shower water crosses the whole room extension to find a drain close to the opposing wall and having to step on all that water while getting dressed to go out can be very upsetting for some people. But the L'Occitane complimentary toiletries almost compensate the inconvenience. Anyway, if you're a total misanthrope, this is the right hotel for you but if you kind of like it when people say hello, even if they're being paid to do so, there are other options nearby. O Sofitel NY é sinônimo de qualidade. O requinte do quartos, o atendimento ultra vip, a localização magnífica são características que elevam ao Hotel a ser um dos melhores do mundo. Recomendo hoje e sempre!

I just loved our stay: good staff; perfect location; very very clean; good products and beautiful

A localização do hotel é ótima, entretanto o atendimento deixa muito a desejar. Na relação custo/benefício não vale a pena se hospedar nesse hotel.

We had a great stay at the Sofitel. From check in to check out everything was top notch. Location is great and hotel is classy and friendly. Will definitely stay here next time Intravel to NY

This was our hotel of choice as we were not disappointed the first we stayed there 2 years ago. The service was exceptional and we'll definitely stay there again! The children have requested another New Years Eve experience at Time Square so the family will be making another booking soon.

beautiful hotel. small mistake in wake up call at 5 am. ouch.

The hotel was in a really great location in midtown - close to Rockefeller Center and transportation. The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Was told i was getting jacuzzi...did not...in fact, the water was green in the tub i did get...complained...they laughed and told me that is new york. hotel was nice but dont go for tub room.

Service lacks sincerity. Stayed for a couple of nights for a family celebration. Leaky bathroom pipes resulted in drenched carpet/floor. If you are considering picking this hotel for its location, be forewarned that it's located on a street where cabs don't go through that often (we learned it the hard way). We could smell cigarret smoke from next room around our bedboard, closet, and bathroom. Sounds from neighboring rooms were not really sound proof. We could hear a baby crying all night. We didn't hear any from outside, though. Otherwise, we loved the hotel. We had a wonderful time. They had a room ready for us when we arrived from a red eye flight and allowed us a late check out which was very helpful. They assisted us in our plans and always with kindness. The room was very nice as well.

Of all my expenses in New York, this was the best bang for the buck. Friendly and professional staff made everything right from check in to check out. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Bed was ultra comfortable. Spacious room was an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city life. First class hotel!

The rooms were a great size for NYC. The beds were SO amazingly comfortable. LOVED the bathroom and shower. LOVED the location. The restaurant was delicious and the staff were SO friendly and helpful. LOVED the location too. I would stay there again in a minute!!!!!

Hard to beat the Sofitel if you can get a good rate. 2 blocks east of Times Square, provides you with easy access to all Broadway shows and is well located for 5th ave. shoping. The rooms are very nice sized (for NY) and the bedding is very confortable. The bathrooms are marble and have both a glass shower and bathtub. Nice storage and true HD TV (for […] some channels). Nice hotel, good staff. Stayed there for New Year's Eve but I did not know that in order to enter Times square we'd have to buy tickets for about 350 bucks. If you stay in a Hotel in the same side as Times Square, you'll have access to the street that lead to Times square at no cost.

The Sofitel is a great hotel for anyone wanting to visit Times Square or see a Broadway Show. The quality of the hotel and its proximity to the Theater District is a huge plus. Although we left on Jan 31st and just missed the New Years Eve celebration, the crowds at Times Square were already very large. While only two blocks from Times Square, it was […] just far enough away to escape the noise and madness of the crowds; while still close enough to easily walk to all of the local venues. First time stayed at hotel -wonderful experience

Besides its great location, Sofitel NY has employees that makes all the diference. They really makes you fell at home even so far away from home! Priceless!

aesthetic of hotel is modern and attractive, and slightly curving hallways, dimly lit halls and subtle colors are very appeasing. noise insulation of rooms is excellent, but room size is inhibiting. service is less than what one would expect of a property such as this: the principal concierge makes minimal effort, hardly anyone speaks french, except […] for bonzour,and the maitre 'd in the restaurant hardly speaks any english either. free 24 hour internet on 3 lobby comps is a big attraction. the ghost of DSK is perrvasive. overall would say experience is pleasant, but we expected something extraordinary, especially for the price. We really enjoyed the Sofitel. I can't think of any negatives.

The accommodations were very nice from the hotel lobby to our room and the each member of the staff that we encountered was very polite and accommodating. A really great experience.

It is a question of taste, I suppose, but I prefer other hotels in this area and price range. Staff is cordial and helpful. Phone service is at times slow and very inefficient -- incoming callers have trouble reaching guests. The business center is inadequate for a hotel that caters to this clientele. We had a good stay, room was clean and updated, nice shower head. Great location between 5th and 6th ave.

We were impressed from the first moment we pulled up. The service was superior. The hotel manager remember our names throughout the weekend and said hello every time he saw us always asking if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. I have stayed at a number of higher end hotels and would recommend this hotel as one of the best.

This is the nicest hotel I have ever paid for myself. I did a lot of research on Manhattan hotels and this one is highly rated but pricey. We wouldn't have stayed here until a 24hr. room sale brought the price into our range. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean. The workout room fully equipped. Close to shopping, theater, Time Square, excellent guest services. Got room with 2 single beds and room was a lot more spacious than expected.
