This is one of my favorite hotels ever. The staff were positively charming, the room luxurious, the neighborhood perfect, and the entire hotel suffused with charm and elegance

I booked a standard room and it was very uncomfortable -- looking into the dark back of the building next to it, very cramped, even by NYC standards. I paid a bit extra and upgraded to delux and it was lovely. The little luxury extras, like a robe, nice toiletries, and very nice towels do matter...but I hardly noticed them in the first room I got.

The staff go above and beyond their duty to insure the guests satisfaction and the stay enjoyable. At night, I slept without interruption of sirens or horns that interfere with a good nights sleep at other hotels in the area.

I needed a room at the last minute for a morning business meeting in the Chrysler Bldg. Booked the Iroquois same day, then hopped on a plane. I got a rate significantly below competing properties, and was happy. Clean, modern room, quiet boutique atmosphere. It got the job done. I have stayed at other "bygone era" hotels in NY and this one is definitely the best combination of old/new, and a great deal at the price I paid. Caveats: I was only there for just over 12 hours, so my review is based on a limited experience. Also, the late night room service menu was completely lacking. But no matter - a late night walk through Times Square to Rays Pizza never hurt anyone, did it?

Wow!! First time in NYC..We picked the perfect hotel! Our room was phenominal...I highly recommend the Iroquois..They were SO helpful and did everything for us and even upgraded our room at no charge. Plus, they stored our bags for us because we arrived so early! Our beds were like big fluffy clouds..The pillowtop mattresses and down comforters were amazing. I have never slept so good! The bathrooms were gorgeous in marble and the chocolates on our pillows were great! NYC is noisy and guess what? We didn't hear a peep! Everything is in walking distance...I mean everything..That really saves on cabfare. What a great time..I was actually sad to leave. Thank You Irouquois for all you do and making our stay a GREAT one. When we come back, we will definately be staying with YOU!! Wanted to also say that the Triomphe Restaurant/Bar located in the Iroqouis has PHENOMINAL food..WOW! Definately worth it..Drinks are great too!! See you all soon!

So happy I stayed at the Iroquois -- spacious for NYC, comfortable, updated technology (although my internet connection wasn't the greatest on the top floor), and the bathroom was both nice and clean. Super friendly hotel staff.

The Iroquois is a quiet, old world, unassuming hotel that is impeccably maintained and offers very good service. It is well located and has an excellent restaurant.

The staff was fantastic. Any questions or concerns were taken care of immediately. Refrigerator requested was in the room within five minutes--already cool. The rooms were a good size. Nice quaint hotel!!!!!

Iroquois is ideally located in midtown with easy access to everything you'll want to see and do. Room was perfect and staff extremely helpful and intantly dealt with any requests. We would have no hesitation in returning.

The Iroquois was exactly what I expected it to be. I wanted a hotel near Time Square for my 8 year old son's first trip to the city. The rooms are very small (as with most NYC hotels), but are very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for tourists and shoppers, being directly between Time Square and 5th Avenue. The employees were very friendly, but check in took a little longer than I would have liked, and I had to wait over an hour on two separate occassions for cie to be delivered to our room (no ice machines for self-service). Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone interested in staying near Time Square, especially if you can get a good rate.

The best hotel experience I've yet had. Atmosphere was awesome, very cozy and quaint which is rare in NYC. Rooms were immaculate and luxurious. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Don't miss this one. Excellent experience.

The location was excellent for theater goers and Times Square. Everyone from doorman to desk cleck was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but excellent. The beds and pillows heavenly. The bathroom was all marble. The breakfast is pricey but a restaurant is a few steps away which has great food, service and prices.

Our hotel stay was great. Although the room was small but most are in NYC it was very clean and had all of the amenities. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy enough. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was great and the hotel restaurant was awesome and very romantic.

Very nice hotel. Asked for a quiet room and actually got the quietest room I ever had in NYC. Staff is very accommodating and responsive. Very good diner down the street (on 44th) called The Red Flame.

Nice updated comfortable rooms with all the amenities. The service was excellent and the price was great.

We have stayed at the Iroquois before and have always found it to be a very pleasant experience. It has a great position and the rooms are always clean and welcoming.

Had heard about the Iroquois and even pickedup a brochure a coupla years ago while staying at the Algonquin next door but it was way too expensive. So when I got a great deal from hotels.com I snapped it up. I was only there for one night but was not that impressed -even at the reduced rate! GOOD:comfy bed, great location, clean. BAD: Lousy water pressure in the shower. Didn't see any "Do NOT DISTURB" card to put outside my door. Only a card that said something like "To save energy, put this card on the door if you WOULD like us to give you fresh linens." I assumed no one would be coming in unless the card was there. I was wrong. Normally I don't like ANYONE coming into my room and straightening up, etc as I leave everything out and scattered around the room -usually mostly on the extra bed I request. No coffeemaker -or if there was I don't remember any coffee packs there -this is a luxury hotel-usually they have THAT. Also there was a tray of water bottles and a few other items on a tray on the dresser - it seemed free -no signs- but I called the desk and asked. "Are those bottles of water etc. complimentary" and they said YES. But before I touched them I noticed a card buried ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRESSER FROM THIS TRAY that said something like "These items are touch-sensored. If you move them you will be charged." And it listed prices, among them $4 for a small bottle of water! No TV channel indicator card to tell you what was what channel so I had to cycle thru all, figure it out and MEMORIZE. Almost called the desk to complain there was no hair dryer after hopping out of the shower with a wet head and scheduled to be at a meeting in one hour. I finally checked the CLOSET thoroughly and found it. The point is I had to waste time with all these small but frustrating details and search for stuff that every normal hotel has displayed prominently. Things you take for granted. And it's a 4star luxury hotel for pete's sake - you expect a few standard ameniti

Good service, great location, nice restaurant. For the price I was paying for a "Deluxe" room I would have at least expected a street view, not a dark room at the back of the hotel with no view of the sky and backing onto nearby offices. Hard to get everything in New York, but I'd hesitate before coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Iriquois; it was a shame it was only for one night. Perfect location being between Times Square and Grand Central and yet really peaceful; I had no noise in my room whatsoever. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Great, location, walk to Times Square, has comfortable rooms, with nice bathrooms....a little on the smaller side but that is expected in NYC. Charming hotels, great bar, highly recommend and will come back.

Probably one of the most comfortable rooms I've ever had in NYC. Great big bed, plenty of room. Perfect for the theater district and Times Square etc. Mini bar quite expensive so beware!

I travel frequently on business to Manhattan, but always stay closer to the financial district. This was my husband's first trip to NY so we wanted to be walking distance to the tourist stuff. The Iroquois absolutely fit that expectation. And, despite being close to every kind of party was amazingly quiet (including the unexpected closing of our street due to a parade that included the soft tones of hundreds of braying bag pipes). The downside to being in the heart of everything is that our room looked right into another room--but, that's the charm of New York. We are absolutely coming back.

Location is excellent and the hotel is very clean. The only downside was the room (602) which was small, with a airconditioning unit on the ceiling over the bed, which created a noise all night.

Very small room; worn out furnishings; ditto "lobby" Hard to understand how it maintains membership in "Small Luxury Hotels". Definitely not up to the standard we've come to expect from that group. also parking 2 the "hippodrome" presents its own set of challenges!

We stayed at the Iroquois for five nights and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and comfy. After long days of walking the extremely comfortable beds were much needed!! We found the staff very accomodating particularly on our last day when we needed our luggage stored at the hotel. the location was perfect for Maceys and times square whilst being quiet at night. We will be back!

Expected the room to be a little bigger, great marble bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Great inexpensive restaurant just a few doors down for breakfast or other meals. Room was nice and quiet, no noise from other rooms.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We found the price extremely reasonable for the room we stayed in. We loved the room and felt very pampered. It was plush, clean and quiet. The bed was turned down when we came back to our room, chocolates and a note with the next day's weather was on our pillow. We had a phone message from the front desk welcoming us to the hotel. We had everything we needed from housecoats down to an umbrella at our disposal and at no extra charge. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while at a hotel. There was parking across the street for a very reasonable rate (the hotel gave a discount). We would definitely go back again and recommend it to all of our friends.

Perfect location and excellent service. Couldnt have asked for more.

Had a great stay at the Iroquois. Perfect location, intimate and relaxed yet in the heart of great restaurants, shopping and theatre. Breakfast not terribly exciting and could do with some variety, but all in all a great hotel.

I was disappointed that my room was not ready until nearly 5pm, however, the staff was wonderful with making me feel settled and comfortable.
