My sister and I extremely very satisfied with the hotel. It was amazingly convenient to everything. The staff were courteous and the rooms quiet and clean. There was only one complaint, we did not get a requested wake-up call the morning were leaving. 10 minute walk to Temple area, renovated/new hotel rooms, great service, quite evenings, highly recommended.

The room was massive, had very nice amenities, was in teh newer part of the hotel. Massive bed and very big shower with "rain head". Right on Stepohens green, 5 mins walk to shops cafes clubs, pubs.... I was very suprised at how good they were. Didnt try the food, but its only 5 mins to any amount of options!

We booked a Junior suite which we were told would be ready for check in at 12noon. At 4.30pm the room was still not ready due to "maintenance issues" - hanging curtains apparently. Receptionist was not at all helpful. Eventually upgraded us to a Suite but the room was not fully furnished and was covered in dust. There was only 1 chair and 1 small round […] table - no seating area. The room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, there was dust everywhere. Also, the website states the hotel is next to the O2 shuttle bus - well the staff never heard of this - said the shuttle was from the other side of St Stephens Green but did not know where! All in all it was a bad experience in a bad hotel with unhelpful staff. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Leia mais

A fabulous hotel with a great location. It is literally across from the Park, a 10 minute walk to Trinity College, a block from Grafton Street's shopping, the tourism office, the on-off tour bus, famous pubs and great restaurants (especially Peploes). The hotel was in walking distance to everything on both sides of the Liffey river. We never had to […] take a taxi. Our room in the hotel was newly renovated and was more than expected, even smelled new with super comfortable beds. The entire staff was warm and beyond helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. The business center was open 24 hours for our use. On our return trip to Dublin we will absolutely stay at the Stephen Green Hotel. It was such a warm, comfortable experience, you will feel as if it is your home away from home. Leia mais

Staying at the hotel was a very wonderful and amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and went over and beyond to help us with everything. The location was excellent! The shopping center was just down the street from the hotel. Our overall experience with this hotel was wonderful and I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was great. Right next St Stephen Green, walking distance from Grafton and Temple bar areas. Service was good, rooms were clean and good size. And considering the price, this is a really great place to stay for anyone coming to visit Dublin. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back!

Firstly let me say that the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, however i was a little disappointed by the following. The room safe did'nt work and the latch on the window of my room was broken and as it was a little windy the window could not be secured and blew open during the night. I reported this to staff as i left early in the morning […] expecting the matter to be fixed on my return that evening howver on my return i found to my dismay none of the matters had been resolved. I reported it again to be told that maintainence had finished for the night. Only when a member of staff came to my room to resolve the safe issue and saw the window issue was something done and i was immediately moved to another room. This would have been unnecessary if the latch had been fixed when i reported it. I was also dissappointed that there were no BBC channels a fault which i was told had been ongoing for two weeks. If they can resolve the maintainence issues then this would be a really good hotel. The location is great , handy for Grafton street, the luis(tram) etc Leia mais

Excellent location close to Grafton Street for shopping, bars and tour buses. Since we were staying at the hotel for 7 days we were very fortunate to get a refurbished room which included a spacious separate sitting area. There were some friendly Irish staff on the front desk but unfortunately the hotel had some foreign staff that could not speak good […] English and at times were very rude. Leia mais

Location of hotel was excellent as I was over for the Dublin marathon so with it been close to the finish line it certianly helped the aches and pains after 26.2 miles!! A usual with Dublin, hotel was pretty expensive but considering it was a bank holiday in Ireland that weekend the rate was okay but certainly wouldnt stay there again if the price was […] the same as what I paid. The best thing about this hotel is location. Dublin is an easy enough city to get around so staying here helps even more. Only downside is when I was doing the marathon my girlfriend went back to hotel and was told the breakfast was included in our rate (I knew it wasnt) so obviously she had it and I had to pay €11 on check-out. The location of the hotel is excellent and usual services were fine. Two niggles. Very few TV channels and at the rates the hotel charges I would expect Wi-Fi to be included in the charges. I will certainly prioritise hotels with 'free' wi-fi access in the future. I think this hotel has a lot of potential. After reading over other reviews I took the advice of one and requested room 1528. This room was in the part of the hotel that has been remodeled. The room is a very basic one and ok for the price. The staff is not very open and helpful. They seem indifferent to their customers. If the hotel completes the rest […] of the remodel and the staff is instructed to care more about their customers then I think it will be a great place to stay. Stayed with a group of friends attending the Michael Buble concert. Hotel is in fantastic location just minutes from the top of Grafton St & the park. Rooms really modern, spotless with amazing bathrooms exactly what you need. Cannot comment on the food as didn't eat in the hotel but the bar was good friendly staff and nice to relax in. Good location, nice staff, big, well-appointed rooms. The hotel buffet is expensive and sub-par, so find a breakfast outside the hotel. But that is the only negative.

This hotel was very close to Grafton Street and within walking distance of some great restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurant had excellent food.

Fantastic location with stores and restaurants near by and the city center within a 10 minute walk. Restaurant in the hotel, delicious breakfast buffet. Excellent service. Gave us restaurant recommendations and made a reservation for us.

We stayed in 3 rooms on the first floor that smelled awful, had carpet worn through to the tacks and were just not maintained. Hard to believe that any responsible company would allow guests to stay in rooms in this condition.

This hotel is an excellent location and easy walking distance to the downtown core of shopping, site seeing, pubs in Dublin and of course St. Stephens Green. The hotel was very clean, had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel on occasion and the food and service was excellent. The only minor complaints: the air conditioning struggled to cool the room […] when the weather was extremely hot and humid and the computers and printers in the business centre are quite outdated and the printers didn't work; however, the staff was very accommodating to provide an alternate source. I booked this hotel for my parents recently. They enjoyed their stay and were very impressed in particular with the friendlt helpful staff. They did fing id difficult to locate the hotel as it isnt at all clearly signed on the Harcourt Street side and very subtly so on Cuffe St! Also I was surprised parking was charged as on the website it states parking […] available. They would centainly recommend this hotel for its convenient location, comfort and friendly staff. This hotel has a wonderful central location and is within walking distance to all the major sights in Dublin. The staff is friendly and helpful... corresponding with me through email even before my trip began about questions I had. The rooms were comfy and nice... the housekeeping was over the top. We came back the first night to find nothing short […] of our pajamas folded on top of our pillows! When we accidentally left a "do not disturb" hanger on the door, we still found fresh towels in a bag waiting for us outside our door. This hotel was clean, had a good location, and was decently priced. I would take away one star though and list it as 3 stars. I think that in Europe the rating system is a bit diffrent than in the states though. I would stay here again and really enjoyed my stay

This hotel sits in the heart of Dublin and is close to much of what the tourist would like to see. Staff generally were friendly and helpful, and overall, the hotel offered us reasonable value for the money. The negative features included a carpet that badly needed cleaning, or replacement, air conditioning that didn't work and pillows that were barely […] softer than rocks. The room was one of the biggest we had during our stay in Ireland. The bed was very comfortable. The employees couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They even made us sandwhiches after room services was closed. Location (just off Grafton) was close to everything. We stayed for one night at O'Callaghan Stephens Green hotel, and were quite pleased with the hotel. Our room was in the newly-renovated section of the hotel and couldn't have been nicer. Amenities included tea service, flat screen television with audio output to en suite bathroom, very spacious bathroom with large walk-in rain shower, and a king-sized […] bed with crisp white linens. We were very disappointed to discover that wireless internet access was available only for an additional fee and, although we flipped the rooms indicator light to "Do Not Disturb," housekeeping staff inadvertently entered the room as we were dressing in the morning. Also, the artwork displayed on the walls of the hallways leading to our room was somewhat questionable as far as taste goes- the artist was clearly working with a detailed female anatomical inspiration. Those points aside, we enjoyed our stay and the easy access to Grafton Street and St. Stephens Green. Reception staff were friendly and more than happy to check our luggage while we toured the city the morning after our stay. I would note that the non-renovated wing of the hotel did not look nearly as nice and smelled quite smoky, so ask for one of the refurbished rooms if you plan to stay at this hotel. Leia mais

Our stay at O'Callaghans Stephens Green was quite nice. While some areas of the hotel could use a little update, overall it is a good choice. It is very convenient to the Grafton St. & Temple Bar areas so we were easily able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff was able to accommodate our early arrival, always a bonus when landing at 7AM. The […] staff was also helpful with any requests we made. I was very pleased with the hotel and the location was super. You can walk to most anywhere and enjoy the sights.

The hotel is perfectly located within a three minute walk to Dublin's "High Street", where all the action is day and night. The hotel sits on a corner that is difficult to find because the name is not posted as a traditional hotel on the outside; it is behind a glass fascade. The staff was very helpful in all regards, especially with directions and […] overall hospitality--one was very humorous as my cousin almost fell as he walked into the lobby and cracked a joke with him as he walked in...it just made for good atmosphere. As for the room: it was clean and a good size, what you would expect from a hotel in the US, not typical of the UK unless you pay top dollar. The coffee maker was nice, the trouser press was clean and in good order, the beds were comfortable but could have used an extra pillow. My only concern was with the "crispness" of the bathroom...meaning, it just needed a bit of a makeover. For example, the caulking was a bit old in certain areas and the toilet was aging a bit. Other than that, things were great. I would stay there again with no issues! As for the WiFi, they charge. I believe 3 euros for two hours and the rates change depending on the block of time you choose; the work desk was large enough to do work on. The hotel is in a great location, across the street from St. Stephen's Green, which is a very beautiful park. It is a block or two from Grafton Street, which is a trendy pedestrian mall. It is also on a light rail line, convenient to everywhere in the southern part of the city. The location is wonderful and the rooms are modern, and well taken care of. It can be a little pricey and, like most hotels in Dublin (and Europe), its built on the street and can be a little noisy, but overall it was excellent and we'd definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our short stay in Dublin at O'Callaghan Stephens Green. The staff was very helpful and friendly. you are right across the street from Stephens Green and just down the street from numerous shops and restaurants on Grafton street. Stayed 3 nights here as home base for visiting Dublin, able to walk and take tour bus (got a 3 day pass ahead of time) everywhere we went. Felt safe. Loved the adjacent St. Stephen's Green Park; it's beautiful. Room had hot pot for tea, a safe for valuables, hairdryer (not fancy but it worked) and magnifying make-up mirror. Hotel is pricy but central from everything you want to do in Dublin. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff only somewhat helpful. The Pie Bistro restaurant was closed every day. Why have a restaurant if it's closed?

Very clean, modern and quiet hotel in an excellent location for exploring the major sites. The staff were quick, responsive and allowed us to check into our decent-sized room by 9.30am which was excellent as we were only doing a short break and were carrying our luggage. Check-out was also simple and hassle free. They also offered to hold our baggage […] during the last day but we didn't bother as we were visiting Kilmainham Gaol. At all times there was a member of staff on duty and in many cases there were two. I didn't bother with the restaurant but it looked clean. I took my wife and parents with me to Dublin this time and they all enjoyed this hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was tidy and comfortable although there was only one pillow each and the mattress was uncomfortable. The tv in the room was dodgy - it kept turning off. The staff tried to sort it out but we gave up with it in the end. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We took a redeye flight and arrived at 9 AM and they let us check in with no problem at all. The location was ideal, right in the heart of Dublin and within easy walking distance of major attractions. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two days at the beginning of August. All the major sites are an easy walk from the Stephen's Green Hotel. Stephens Green is just opposite and Merrion Square is close by. You can get the "Hop On Hop Off" Bus Tour from Stephen's Green and it's a short walk up Grafton Street to Trinity College, Temple Bar and the River Liffey. Hotel staff […] were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Our room was at the front of the hotel. With the windows open there was traffic noise but this was stopped by closing the windows. Bathroom was large and well fitted. Breakfast was good value for Dublin with a full buffet (including juices, cereals, fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, tomato, black pudding, sausage, beans, mushrooms and toast)for Euros 11.95. An earlier review said this was expensive - but other places were more expensive and less good. Having stayed at several Dublin hotels over the years on business trips, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as quiet, comfortable, friendly and centrally located. Leia mais
