convenient,just short ride from airport.was very busy when i was there,but overall a good experience.helpful staff.

I really enjoyed my two week stay at Bayview. This is my second stay at this Hotel. I met my girlfriend last year almost exact same time frame in 2008. I decided to do it again because we did enjoy ourselves at Bayview. My girlfriend is a romantic and Bayview was the choice once again. It was worth it. We arrived late night (11:30 p.m.) and the staff was very friendly. Never any problem on either visit. I have read many reviews and there were some that critized the Hotel when they "nickel and dime" them. Because of that I knew what to expect. It is true that the staff does try to get you to pay in advance, 1000 peso for each night in case you use the phone, drink all the beverages from the small ice box (bar) that is provided. Don't know if they are actually trained to do this or they just can't help themselves. My room was payed two months in advance, and they know that. Here is how you handle it. Just tell them that you will pay them the night before you leave, and that you do not plan to use the phone or drink the liquids from the bar. They had no response to this. They did not pursue it. Do what I did, go to the Robinsons Mall and their grocery store and buy all the liquids that you actually want. Case closed. And save money too. The location is in the "Ghetto" so you just have to get used to it. No big deal. Poor people will come to you daily and attempt to sell you things. This is the location, the environment. Restaurants are just around the corner, mall just a short walk. I like it. The bay stinks, but again this is the environment. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and looked forward each day to come back to our room which was cleaned daily by extremely polite staff. My girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves very much at Bayview. The breakfast buffett was enjoyable too. Looked forward to it each morning. I shall return (Douglas McArthur) and I did get a very nice rate fom Hotel.com.

Overall this hotel was what I expected for the money I spent in Manila. This is my second time I stayed there since it was very convenient for me to be directly across from the American Embassy since I had personnel business to attend to there. The staff was very helpful and understanding. They even went as far as giving me personnel advice as to where to go to get more for my financial situation since I was there on an emergency leave of absence, even though I did not tell them that. The staff were very friendly and very professional. The room was very clean and I was very comfortable staying there. Everything I needed was very close by and within walking distance. If others had a bad experience, it's probably because they stayed close to the area where they were going through a renovation in some part of the hotel. Otherwise, the staff try to do there best to satisfy their customers. It would be nice if they would make available a free internet access or a better way to make the internet accessible via direct internet connection once you physically connect your laptop. The only thing I miss is a larger lobby since I travel a lot in my profession as a business person, but that was not quite that important to me for my purpose there. Otherwise I would give this hotel a higher score.

Have stayed here many times. I have always been happy. The rooms are clean the staff is excellent the Hotel seems to need some upgrades but overall i will use when I travel to Manila.

I booked this hotel as it was near Bay Walk. Unfortunately this has now been moved to another area on the other side of town) near Mall of Asia. There is not much else that is interesting to see in the surrounding area, apart from the Hobbit Hole and a few sleazy bars. The hotel in itself was ok, not great. When we moved in the lobby area was very musty. My room was ok, but noisy. My friend's room was very musty so he requested to move. There are probably better places to stay in Manila.

The location to the US Embassy is great, but the rest of it makes the stay not worth it. THe rooms are not in good condition. They will only give you one key and that powers the A/C so your room is not very cool after being gone all day. There is no hotel lobby to sit in. The pool is ok but the small and not very nice pool deck. No hotel bar and the morning buffet in NOT very good. Better to stay a little further away and get better hotel. Over all grade is a "D" the internet charge is very epensive and slow.

This is a good, comfortable hotel and is located right across from the US Embassy which was great for us. The check in staff was very professional and capable, but not friendly by Filipino standards. The rest of the staff lived up to Filipino tradition. All the office services and taxi services offered by the hotel could be found much cheaper close by.

First off, the prices were great and considering you get a free buffet breakfast every morning is a nice touch. But finish on the bath tub was peeling and the shower didn't work. We called the front desk as soon as we got settled and realized the tub situation and it took almost another hour to get the shower fixture replaced. My fiance and I had to get up at 4:30am and it would have been more convenient (and faster) to give us another room. Also, they wanted a 1000p per day deposit to cover any extras (room service, phone etc...) which I decided to drop because we had another room for our parents. We didn't incur any extra charges but they gave us a hard time on refunding the deposit. Keep all of your reciepts. If you don't have them, these people will try to nickle and dime you till the end...

All in all I was quite satisfied with the hotel. I felt very safe and also the hotel was able to get a safe taxi any time I needed it. they has security at the doors and most important.... there was a starbucks next door. Very handy for that morning coffee we have become accustom to. I look forward to going back. I think that the only drawback I can think of is that the hotel cafe did not have a very good kitchen. But no big deal... there was starbucks :-)

Staying at the Bayview is a very good value. The rooms were very clean with fresh linens and towels everyday. The free breakfast buffet was very good. The entire staff was very courteous and pleasant. The only real drawback to the hotel is that it is an older hotel in need of some updating and we did see some renovations being done while there so hopefully it will improve in the future. Overall, it would be very hard to beat the value.

The room was great. The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was located near restaurants and stores.

An older hotel in an area that is conveniently close if in Manila for visa or medical exam for visa. U.S. embassy across the street from hotel. Medical center 2 blocks for hotel.

Hotel was as expected as per rating. The staff was very friendly and professional except for one female staff at the front desk which in our opinion tried to scam us when we had to extend our stay another two days. After paying for the two extra nights, she wouldn't give us the receipt for payment and said we can get it upon check out. Also wanted another 2,000Php for deposit which we didn't have to pay as per the other staff member at the front desk since they already had a deposit from us upon check in. We requested a receipt since it was our only proof that we paid for the two extra nights we had to extend. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the Bayview Park Hotel. Would gladly stay at that hotel again.

The staff was wonderful, the service was great and the breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations, but the hotel is just old. Because the bed was unfortable, I changed rooms after the first day without any improvement. The matresses were old and uncomfortable in both rooms and the sink light 2nd room did not work. It was fixed after I called service, but it went out again after one day. The hotel is undergoing renovation but until they put in new and more confortable bedding and furniture, and upgrade the bathrooms, I would not recommend it.

customer service was not that good, I guess you guys need to work on that stuff. a lot of perople come from the us or europe expecting good customer service. and work on your first impression about the hotel ok.

Heb het hotel aangetroffen zoals was verwacht. Ontbijtbuffet was uitgebreid en van goede kwaliteit. Kamers waren van alle gemakken voorzien en er werden zonodig dagelijks schone handdoeken ed neergelegd.

The trass containers were on the ccorrindors 24 hours and the sacks of dirty laundry also. I have never seen anything like that. The staff were not sevice minded. They were rude and arrogant. Telephones in the corrindors from house keeping were ringing all the time early in the morning and waking up the guests. One day we came back at 1500 and our room wasnt ready and although we told them we will have a nap the called after 15 minutes to clean the room!.The hotel really needs total removation .
