We stayed at the Wyndham to celebrate the arrival of the New Year! The location was excellent. We were able to walk for shopping, the Art Institute and it was a quick taxi ride to the train station and to Graham Elliot's for an excellent meal. The room was comfortable and generally clean. The swimming pool and spa area was disgusting--the pool and whirlpool […] had a ring of grime around the edge. The floor has soggy cheezits on it and there were no towels to be had. We were warmly greeted by the bellmen, the front desk and the concierge. However, we sat in the bar for 20 minutes without service--a waiter walked by and told us she would be back by but never came. When we walked up to the bar to try to get a drink we were told we needed to wait for our waitress. OK?! I think we will try another hotel in the area on our next visit. Ler mais

Infront of the hotel is a very large hospital, and all night ambulance with the siren turned on come in and out, I couldn't sleep at all. I expected that the windows were soundproof, but unfortunately it is not. Within the abitacion There is a fridges supposedly empty, but in mine I found a tray of food from previous guest and the smell was awful. this […] is enough for me to not recommend this hotel and I will never return. Had a great time! My guests and wife enjoyed all the sites, took in a hockey game and ate at the finest restaurants. The location of the hotel couldn't haven't been more convenient. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to going back.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and was looking for a hotel which had a good location and provided good service. I found whyndham to be in a great location couple of minutes walk to Michghan Ave hence great location if you want to spend couple of nights and a very comfortable room

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location, easy to walk to everything! The only thing that took a little getting used to were the constant ambulance sirens going to the hospital that is directly across the street from the hotel. My mattress was not very comfortable, but nothing that kept me from sleeping. It was a great deal, and I would stay […] there again for the convenience and price. Nice hotel and conveniently located to major shopping. This was my 2nd stay at the Wyndham Chicago. Close proximity to hospital emergency room and ambulance sirens. Still, I would stay there on my next visit.

The Wyndham used to be a world class hotel, but now looks like it has moved into tourist class. Rooms are dated and need refreshing but at least are clean. Ironically their efforts at putting in super efficient toilets now produces a banging type sound from nearby rooms when flushed. Annoying as is the ambulance traffic at nearby Northwestern Hospital. […] Walked out of the bar after being totally ignored by wait staff. This hotel was amazing....perfect location, perfect condition, perfect price!! Outstanding service, high quality restaurant and room service, super comfortable beds. The only problem was that we could not stay there forever!! We are seasoned travelers and this hotel met every need, a Wyndham indeed!!

Everything was great! Only complaint was that pool area is extremely small and crowded. If the pool is important to your stay then maybe another hotel is appropriate.

We had a great mini vacation at the hotel. Wonderful location and staff. Will definitely stay there again.

It's central location made shopping and site-seeing just a comfortable walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We will stay here again!

Super close to all the Michigan Ave. shops. One suggestion is that the rooms could use a little "sprucing up". Paint trim, etc. Also, TVs need to be upgraded to flat screens with more cable channels. Great service and friendly employees.

Room prepaid thru Hotels.com, but when we got home the next day, our account showed a $150 charge to the room for our 2-day stay. We had no additional charges to the room; when we called the hotel, we were told the hotel automatically charges $75 a night for "anticipated" charges. Front desk clerk, both at check in and check out, didn't say anything […] about this charge. They told us we would get a refund in about a week. Not cool at all, specifically because no one said a thing about that kind of a charge at any time during any face-to-face opportunity with the hotel front desk staff. Wonder how many folks never check their account for something like that. Last slap in the face? We were told that they do not automatically refund; they wait till the customer requests the refund. If your looking for free internet you won't get it here $10.95 per 24 hrs! Beds were ok but the pillows were huge!

arrived early pm,room was ready ,clean and staff was friendly.Great location to walk to many attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Chicago over the Christmas Holiday. Our concierge - Denise was awesome and thorough. The hotel was lovely and very well organized. There were no mistakes to be made and none had! Can't wait to visit again. Thank you Wyndham!!!

Wonderful staff! Great valet service and concierge! We would stay again.

Second time here, and still love it. Only downside was housekeeping. No backup roll of tp, and mysteriously just skipped us for service one day. Great location, one block off Michigan Ave, staff is always helpful and friendly. Parking is on your own unless you're ok with $55 per day valet. Not me! Found a spot a few blocks away for $30. For a short […] stay that makes more sense than public transport/taxis. But add that to your nightly cost. Ler mais

Great price and great location a block off of Michigan Avenue but the rooms are beginning to show wear. Had a carpet stain that detracted from the room. Had to pay for wireless internet. Staff very accommodating and helpful staff. Overall it is still one of the best hotels for the money.

this is a good hotel in a great location with very friendly staff we arrived early from amtrak 9.30am to be exact but they still let us check in how great is that if we are in the area again would stay here

Great Hotel. mediocre room as it has no LCD TV . Very near to great attractions - Michigan Ave.

We stayed at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the response of room service in the morning.

had minor problem with coffee maker called front desk resolved swiftly plugged in another outlet since my wife was hospitalized across the street it was very close Plenty of moderately inexpensive places to eat Corner Bakery, O' Tooles Sports, Fridays, Ginos (deep dish pizza Chicago favorite) Upscale Rosebud (over priced) linen table cloths etc, a […] place to be seen???? Outstanding extra effort I had booked a room on an emergency basis for my stay. My out of town relatives were scheduled to arrive later in week. I had arranged to have them stay on my floor and communicated my request to the front desk When my relatives arrived the requested room was not made up ( llittle disappointing) so my relatives were stationed on the next upper floor. My guess is, based the situation, most hotels would offer an apology and offer a host of excuses. Peter Drucker said "Solve the problem, feed the opportunity" The staff sprung into action, moved me to a room on the same floor Additionally, the Consignee (sp) walked to the hospital next door waited by the info desk and escorted us back to the hotel and supervised the move.my room. That is an excellent example of thinking on your feet and solidifying a relationship. Would I stay there again? Of Course! Wouldnt You? Ler mais

The hotel was very nice appearance wise however we were on the 7th floor and when we first checked in we noticed the "cold box" had a huge hole in it and the cold air was leaving the box, we immediately told a staff member yet nothing ever got done about it. We also called to ask for a microwave to heat up left over from restaurants we had eatten at […] during the day, they told us they do not have microwaves (what hotel does not have microwaves), we also called to get a DVD player since they still had the old box tv...yet again no dvd players in the whole hotels.....finally after calling 4 times asking for these things, we decided to talk to the concierge he gladly sent up both a microwave and dvd player...just because we were not staying in the most expensive rooms at the top floors we were treated as less by the staff other than the concierges whom of which were all very helpful and very friendly. Very, very pleasant staff all around. Well kept facility.

Great Hotel in the Center of everything. With steps to the mag mile and food make this really convenient. Drag is that this hotel is close to a hospital so there are sirens throughout the day. Rooms are extremely dry as well so staying your room too long is extremely uncomfortable.

I had stayed a few times in this hotel and is a great place to stay when you visit Chicago!!

The Wyndham has seen better days. It has a worn look and needs a facelift. Alacart services such as Internet access is not what you would expect. Restaurant is lacking the quality you expect .. Food is not very good. Increase room rates to provide the comfort level you are looking for and not nickel and dime your guests. Great location makes up for […] what this place lacks. Clean rooms and pleasant staff are appreciated but expected for the brand name your looking for. Middle of the road hotel that could be so much more. The staff of the Wyndham Chicago were very accommodating and helpful. They made check-in and check-out a very pleasant experience. I look forward to staying there in the future.

great spot with nice rooms. Hallways were a little scuffed, but who really cares, the room was in great shape and very comfortable. Bed was very soft, lots of pillows, and the staff were helpful when asked for anything.

Very happy with the Wyndham hotel.

Clean, but very dated...carpet in the lobby was threadbare, paint needed redoing, etc. Great location, nice staff, but wouldn't recommend...doesn't live up to a four star rating.

It was a great experiance.

The hotel was in a great area for shopping and restaurants. The room and bath were generous in size however the interior was worn. The service was good and the concierge very helpful. They also had a small pool and workout room that the kids enjoyed.
