We secured a King sized bedroom (Sun-Tue) several months before our trip. This hotel is also owned by the same corporation that owns Indigo (right behind them, connected) and we were told, due to mechanical problems, we had to check in at Indigo with an "upgrade" for our King sized bedroom. We were paying around $400/night.
They put us in a room with a Full size bed and NO room to lay out our suitcases! We politely called and said this will not work. They then placed us in a Queen size bedroom, to which we conceded. Later, during our stay, we went to Mercure and asked to see their King sized bedroom. Oddly, it was available and so much nicer than the "upgrade" we were given. It would have been perfect, especially as an "upgrade" considering having to be placed in the other hotel with a smaller bed. We asked about the cost to which the lady said it would be around $250/night. We definitely were taken advantage. For this reason, we were very disappointed in our experience. We should have asked for a credit. They also have too many tables in the restaurant to allow customers and servers to walk through. We were bonked several times.
