Prime Hotel LaFlora - Miami Beach

Recomendo este hotel! Não é muito novo, mas estava limpo e o atendimento foi bom. A localização é ótima, em plena Miami Beach, sendo possível fazer diversos passeios a pé.

O hotel é bem localizado, porém, muito antigo e precisando de alguns reparos. O chão faz muito barulho, o chuveiro é ruim, o ar condicionado não era bom, não tinha frigobar no quarto e nem água para beber.

Only good thing is the location. Vallet parking for 20 dollars. Very awful breakfasy for 6 dollar per person. Go to the street next to the beach for more decent breakfast. Wifi only in the lobby. No drinkable water offered.

This hotel needs to be updated and redone badly. Other than location not good about this hotel, dirty, smelly and dark is what it is. I mixed options on the staff. The room we stayed in had bars on the windows and no locks. The floor was stained and furniture was worn and in disrepair. We canceled our reservation immediately. Aside from its close location to south beach and cheap rates, I would never recommend staying here.

I’ve stayed in South Beach for a week or more for the last 16 years, I’ve stayed in some great places and some really bad ones. La Flora is the same, some good things, some bad. When I arrived at the front desk, the clerk looked at me and before I even said a word, he said “relax” as if to say “you are stressed out, don’t take it out on me…”, he was […] far from the mark and was instantly annoyed by his behavior. The rest of his dialogue was a bit condescending, maybe he should find some other line of work. I often travel more than 180 days per year, I’ve never been greeted this way before. I booked the deluxe king room. They only have a few, some of them, face Collins Ave and are loud but the extra space is nice (bring ear plugs if you plan to sleep). When we got to the room house cleaning was just finishing up, when we walked in it had the overwhelming smell akin to Pine-sol. I could tell an effort was being made to hide some odor, but I could not tell what it was, maybe cat pee or maybe something else. We went to the beach and upon our return we were overwhelmed by the incredibly strong smell of cat urine, our maybe mountain lion, or tiger urine. I was very, very, strong and reeked. You had to breathe through your mouth and plug your nose. I went to the front desk and told them about the situation, the clerk (a different clerk) came to the room and agreed. He moved us to a different room right next door. The new room was OK but smelled slightly stronger than your typical musty South Beach hotel room. Every once and while we would get a brief scent of cat urine from the room we had just left. The room was clean, bedding comfortable and OK for the rate we were paying. The rest of the stay was uneventful, the new front desk clerk had a great attitude and was helpful with directions, irons, cork screws, etc. So keep in mind the room might be dumpy and musty, but what truly shines about La Flora is the location, it’s half a block from the South Beach parking garage, a Ler mais

Descent hotel for the money and the location was perfect. The cleaning staff was freindly, more so than the behind the counter staff. The carpets are old and worn out. I would stay there again.

hotel was cool close to everything the staff was great. it was very clean. the breakfast was not all that it was juice and dry bread but it look as if they were tryn their best....... other then that i enjoyed myself and i would definitely go again.

cheerfully greeted upon arrival, valet parking set up right away. the elevator was not working but it is a two story art deco hotel. the front desk clerk helped us with our bags to the room. the room was adequate in size but not big. it was neat, clean with a great mattress and pure white linens/duvet. small dresser, 2 chairs, tables, lamps all in […] good order. small refrigerator. no ice in hotel! bathroom was modern with soft towels, soaps, shampoo etc furnished. great large window view of palm trees and sunshine. only negative was the carpets needed a good cleaning or replaced. five minutes on the bathroom floor with bleach water and brush would have removed dark stained grout. overall, a great room, a block off ocean avenue and the atlantic with all the restaurants/bars/clubs! lincoln rd mall was within walking distance along with collins ave and washington street shops, hotels, restaurants and bars. the desk clerk offered to store our bags after checkout at eleven am. which we did and returned at three pm at three for a trip home. a great bang for your money for sure and i will stay here on my next trip and will also highly recommend prime hotel la flora to others! They only had one loaf of bread for everyone in the hotel for breakfast, 1 carafe of juice, no wet bar like the hotels state, no tv and no remote. You do get cups and a ice bucket (too bad there is no ice machine nor would they give you ice from the bar). Towels, I don't think they were washed. The keys to the room don't work, they had to to come everytime […] to open the door. I should've read the reviews before I booked this hotel. The carpet is STAINED badly all over the hotel it looks nasty and dirty. Some FUNKY smells in the hallway. The "so called" hotel manager is lazy and was of little assistance to us. He refused to refund us our money so we could get a better hotel. He lied to booking.com when they called to confirm […] my complaints just so we didnt have to move to a new hotel. He refused to provide the number for the owners who he claims refuse to change the DIRTY carpet and take better care of the hotel. I give this 1 star only because the maid did her job in trying her best to clean our room and make our stay the best she could. Everytime we walked the strip we visited better hotels and wished we never choose PRIME LA FLORA!!!!! If you can avoid this place it is horrible and I would never want to continue to pay the owners for a hotel that is not worthy of guest's money or attention. The owners get away with this when you book through sites such as expedia or hotels.com because the cancellation fee permits you to make changes with severe penalty. Once you get in the crappy room you are stuck this is what happened to us we tried our best to ignore the stains and make the best of our trip. The bathroom was descent aside from no step out the high tub...safety hazard im sure. if the owners took the time to renovate the hotel would be descent and add some life into the lounge with drinks, food, a dj...its MIAMI for heaven sake!!!!!.......... THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!! HAIR STILL STUCK TO THE SHOWER WALLS, BUGS IN THE TUB AND WALLS IN THE BATHROOM, AND THE MOST GROSS OF ALL WAS WHEN I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING AND HAD SOME LONG BLONDE HAIR WRAPPED AROUND MY FINGERS, AND HAVING TO PULL SOMEONE ELSE'S HAIR OFF OF MY LEGS! I WOULDN'T STAY HERE IF THEY GAVE ME THE ROOM FREE! SMH!!!

First, they had stains on the spread and the sheets, the front desk guy changed it. This my second year staying at this hotel. When I stayed last year I knew it would not be a 5 or 4 star hotel. It was just a place to up pack and change cloths and sleepy after hanging out. The stay was fine last June of 2010. I have a very different story to tell in July 2011. When I entered the room, the carpet was full of filthy stains. The carpet […] looked like it had never even been shampooed. It as pretty disgusting. The telephone did not work, the bathroom tub was still dirty, and the bed sheets had hair on them. I asked to be moved. The representative took me to visit two more rooms. The second room was in even worse shape. The third room was better so we settled in. After I pulled the sheets back, I realized that the mattress pad has yellow urine stains on them. When I asked the house keeper to change the sheets. She said they didn't have any extra matress covers. Bring your own towels. The ones they had were dingy and hard. They also had holes in them. We could not even get an iron. we waited an hour for someone else to finish using the iron. The house keeper didn't even leave clean towels for us. When we requested clean towels, the front desk person said they didn't have any in the hotel. Lol!! We could not belived. I would discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. We had a great time. The hotel was at the best location possible and for that price! There was a nice guy on reception desk and the room was very clean and nice. We really enjoyed it. hotel wa clean, easily located to everything and friendly atmosphere...a great spot.

The hotel was deplorable. So was the room. We walked in and the room was about 95 degrees with the windows open and the air was off. At least that, at first, took our attention away from stains on the filthy carpet. The headboard on my bed wasn't secured and kept banging into the wall each time I sat down. I felt like I was camping when I used the toilet […] paper roll off the vanity - there was no toilet paper holder. We asked for two extra towels and a shower mat. The desk clerk said "no". I have nothing in the area to which I can compare this hotel, but I will say that, based on my expectations, the experience was acceptable. The room was less well kept than I would have liked, but not less so than I anticipated. Carpet and walls were scuffed and stained, bedding a was reasonably clean, bathroom was very clean. The room itself (double […] Queen deluxe) was more spacious than the pictures led me to believe. Staff interaction was minimal, but pleasant and efficient. The location was great -- far enough away from the main drag to keep a sense of peace but close enough to join in the action if you want to. Though there was a parking lot adjacent to this hotel, it was completely full every night and all day on the weekend. The garage across the street was convenient, and cheaper than the lot (by the hour), but expect to pay a flat rate for Fri, Sat or Sun. Plenty of street parking is available, but you'll have to be either persistent or lucky in order to find a space. Or, you can always use the hotel's valet service, if that's more your style. If I were staying in this area in the future, I'd probably still shop around, but if I couldn't find anything clearly better at the same price point, I'd definitely stay here again. Ler mais

Let's start with the good: Very good location, fairly well cleaned (one permanent stain on shower tiles), never a line at reception, reasonable valet parking. The bad; Loud garbage truck early in the morning, noise at night, resort charge adds significantly to final price, just 'OK' helpfulness of staff, no control of AC in room, lobby bathroom inaccessible, […] VERY basic breakfast (just toast, coffee, OJ). The location of the hotel was prime. The staff was very helpful. The water pressure sucked, but for the location alone and things being clean... I'd stay there again.

we so enjoyed our stay at laflora! the hotel itself was clean and felt safe, great hospitality and such a want for our happiness was evident. the sheets were white ans crisp and the room smelled clean, sparse furnishings in a mellow, easy on the eye color. no tacky floral polyester bedspread here! i recommend this hotel for the budget conscious individual […] who craves ease and cleanliness! The hotel has the basics but some of the desk clerks are either rude or they just do not care about the guests. The valet parking is hit and miss; sometimes the car is ready in 10 minutes and sometimes it can take up to an hour, very unreliable.

I normally trust hotels.com user reviews and was very disappointed this time around. This really is just a roof over your head. The bathroom desperately need grouting, the carpet was stained. We were just glad that we were only booked for one night.

Stains ground into the carpet. Holes in the wall where a flat screen might have been. Hair all over the bathroom floor. Staff repeatedly entered without knocking morning and night. Other than the great location I have nothing good to offer about this hotel.

Awesome location. Lobby had clearly been recently renovated and looked very swanky. The room left much to be desired. No shower curtain, no alarm clock, no hair dryer. The carpet was terribly stained. The furniture needed repainting. You could tell there had once been a flat screen or something mounted on the wall but there was just a regular TV with […] no remote. When I opened the door to the cabinet the TV was on, the facade literally popped off in my hands. On the upside, the sheets were clean and the bathroom was okay. There were two large towels, one washcloth, and one hand towel. They were very worn and one towel had a hole in it. I would not recommend Hotel LaFlora to anyone. The hotel was not clean at all. The floors had stains, the furniture was old and out of date, the bathroom plumbing leaked and the drinking glasses were dirty. The service at Hotel LaFlora was also very bad. The locations is absolutely perfect within walking distance to all the major hotspots. One block to ocean drive and the beach. Very close to B.E.D., Mansion, and other great clubs. Our room was a regular queen bed, good sized room. The carpet is stained and there was a weird stain on the headboard thing, marks on the walls. The shower had no pressure […] the whole time. The room only has blinds so it gets quite bright in the morning which makes it hard to sleep in and recover from the night before. Our room was near the back of the hotel so we were woken up Sunday morning by the trash trucks which wasn't fun either. Overall, the place was fine. Nothing special. At check in, the front desk was very cordial and funny. We were early so he allowed us to store our bags until check in time. The room was clean and relatively comfortable, as expected for the price. However, we did note that the A/C was not functioning at a comfortable level. There was no thermostat in the room and the front desk told us that 3 rooms […] were controlled by one thermostat. After we did complain I noticed that the A/C did come on for about 5 minutes and then kicked off. It came on at 30 minute intervals and seemed to be on a timer. Great location - not too busy/noisy-close walk to everything, Quaint hotel, clean room, nice flat panel TV, good internet connection, good granola at breakfast, helpful staff, valet only $15, great rates.

Hotel's location is perfect - close to the beach, stores and night clubs at the walking distance. The check-in process was full of mistakes. Rooms are not very clean - the carpet. Bed linens are clean. Bathroom was clean, but one towel of two was dirty. TV - small screen on the wall. Internet was promised, but not available - no connection.

Hotel is in a great location in South Beach. Style and decor are art deco. Hotel is old but has been renovated within last few years. Floors are uneven and carpet could be replaced to improve the appearance and comfort.

The PHLF in South Beach is in a great location - 2 blocks from the beach and on the cusp of the art deco district. It's also just a few blocks from the Lincoln Road Mall with all it's shopping and people watching opportunities. The area is a hot bed of evening and night time happenings so this is a no-lose place to stay - afterall you're probably there […] for the outside activities anyway! The rooms, though small since the hotel was constructed in a different era, are really quite comfortable. The bath area could use some updates but it works as a bath should - you get cleaned and refreshed!! There are people constantly passing by - great if you like people watching nearly 24 hours a day! If you enjoy seeing exotic cars, this is also the place to be as Collins Street is a main cog in the area. I plan to return to South Beach next year and I'm booking with the PHLF if rooms are available!! Ler mais

nice hotel small rooms

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. It was a very peaceful place to be. I was very close to my conference activities and the hotel is about one block away from the beach. They also offer free internet access. There city has tons of taxi cabs, so it is very easy and affordable to get to locations that may be a little further out. Collins Avenue is a main […] street. The price and location make this hotel worth it. The hotel location is fantastic. It is only one block to the beach, close to Lincoln Plaza and Sobe night life. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and made for an overall wonderful stay. Upon arriving at the desk, we were promptly greeted, our reservation was found, room confirmed and we were handed our keys. We were asked if we needed any assistance finding our way around Miami. The room is what I expected, clean and very comfortable. Overall, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very courteous. When we asked for extra towels, […] they were promptly delivered. Upon checking out, the guy at the front desk assisted us with locking our luggage up in their storage closet, since we still had several hours before our flight left. Very friendly service; they let us check in at 10am (because the room was already available), which was very convenient & allowed us to drop our luggage. Otherwise, except for the carpet that needed replacement (way beyond cleaning...), the room was clean & comfortable, and relatively quiet for the neighborhood.
