O hotel praticamente não tem nada ao redor, só um 7/11 que quebra bem o galho. Porém é muito rápido se deslocar de lá até qualquer lugar de carro; exceto Nova Iorque - pegue o trem. O quarto é limpo e confortável e os funcionários são educados. O café da manhã é simples, mas resolve. Pelo valor, vale a pena com certeza.

"Nice but..."
It was better than staying at a cheap motel. However, you have to consider the fact that it is right on the boulevard and over a restaurant/lounge. There was lots of street noise and people from the lounge hanging outside. Also, the walls were thin. I could not sleep just listening to the people on both sides of me. "Pan American very convenient"
It is an older property but between the airport shuttle, close inexpensive breakfast places, and proximity to the train stop I would definately stay there again!
Price was ok, sheets was not changed just bed re-made. parking ok, next time will bring own sheets.

The hotel is in a great location in queens to get to shopping and Manhattan - BUT THAT'S IT! The room is old and small, but clean. Needed to open the windows to cool down the room. The beds were too small - smaller than full size. My sons feet were hanging off the bed. Next Thanksgiving I am looking for a better hotel - even if its in a two fare zone. […] Just not worth it. Dated hotel with friendly staff.Clean and OK rooms but the traffic on Queens Blvd sounded like it went between our beds...very noisy A bit off but good communications to Manhattan. You are att Times Square within 30 minutes via subway. Buy the MetroCard!!! I stay at the Pan American Hotel every trip I make to New York City. They pick me and my luggage up at the airport and for a small fee they take me back to the airport. The hotel has a "A" rated restaurant called Dukes, Pan American is a short 4 block walk to the Grand Avenue Subway Station and a 8 block walk to shopping malls in Elmhurst. "Very satisfied"
This is a great place to stay when you are traveling in a tight budget. The location is good, only 20 minutes of Manhattan. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant is good and prices are affordable, Friday and Saturday the restaurant becomes to be discotect and the music is great so if you still have […] energy after walking in the city you can snick there for a good time and some Latin dancing. "Horrible service"
This hotel is extremely tacky. Housekeeping is loud, start vacuumuming the hallway around 8 am. Front desk service is just awful, cannot control the temeprature of the room. Considering its price, I exoected a bit more -- and didn't get it.
Please accept our apologies for any disturbances you note regarding hallway maintenance and vacuuming. Likewise, we do receive numerous complimentary comments regarding the Guest Service provided by our Front Desk staff. Most of these personnel have been employed for many years (two men over 30 years) and they maintain close contact with our guests. We have received a 4 Star Guest Satisfaction Rating on a trip advisor review website and we regret that your experience was not like those enjoyed by the vast majority of our customers.

This hotel is older and nothing fancy, but it's absolutely acceptable. The room was clean and there was free parking on site. The only problem was that the air conditioning didn't work but wasn't an issue because it wasn't a warm evening. We opened a window and that was fine. i loved the location of the hotel, very easy walk to subway and with free parking makes it easy to leave behind all that city driving. the only thing i didn't like was my bed. I just wasn't that comfortable but that could have been me more then the bed. overall its a great place to stay in nyc
I like the fact that this circa 1950's hotel doesn't hide it's age. The older rooms are much larger than today's "squeeze-you-in-per-square-inch".

The free shuttle from the airport was nice but you have to pay for the return ride to the airport @ $10 a person. Our driver was very friendly. The front desk guy allowed us to check in earlier(which was nice). The hotel allows you to leave your bags if your rooms not ready or you've checked out for $2. The bed was nothing to brag about & they give […] you the 1st night free WIFI in your room. Afterwards, it's $7 a day. They have a hotspot in the lobby. The heat didn't seem to work but other reviews say that the hotel turns it on seasonal. There's a fridge hidden inside the nightstand. There's no microwave or coffee maker. The place could use some serious renovations & updates but it gets the job done & you get what you pay for. I don't plan on staying there again but it could have been a lot worse in other places offering the same rates. The subway is 4 blocks from the hotel & not difficult to get to. Leia mais
"Pan Am - Decent Hotel at a Fair Price"
We spend 4 nights at the Pan Am for an extended weekend trip to NYC. Given the high price of hotels in the New York City area, we were quite satisfied with the quality of this hotel. The hotel provides a free shuttle service from LGA airport (and JFK) though the return trip is $10 per person, still not bad, and is quick and convenient. The hotel is […] not fancy but quite functional and reasonably comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is not pretty but does not seem unsafe. The subway is about a 10 minute walk away as is a Target store and shopping center. The wifi in the lobby is free and works just fine. Wifi in the rooms is a bit pricey however. "needs major renovation"
The hotel is old and it shows. Room 217 had a malfunctioning toilet, no iron or ironing board, and could not regulate room temperature. If you complain, if falls on deaf ears.

"Only 20 minutes to Manhattan"
We enjoyed the convenient location, with the nearby subway stations. We also took advantage of the hotel's guest computers to check email and print train and airline tickets. A Queens shopping mall is an easy walk or short bus ride. We felt safe in the neighborhood, even walking back to the hotel after dark.

The building is big. A the structure itself was nice to the eye. I thought a good washing of the outside would just make it majestic. The entance is nice. A small fountain and more plamts would have been perfect. I did like the fact that it had a nice smell and looked clean. The man at the desk was very cordial and helpful when I needed directions! […] The elevator could be redecorated but it was very clean. The rooms were very nice and clean. The pillows were comfortable. "Pan American Elmhurst"
The hotel needs some updating. Room was large, the furnitures look old and worn. The airconditions looked rosty but it works. The best is the parking free of charge in the backyard of the hotel. Lot of restaurants near by. In total: You get what you pay
"Affordable Convenience"
Easy walk to the train each day to commute to the city.30 minutes to Wall Street, Mid Town or Harlem. Great selection of food just a block or so away or even more on broadway near the subway. No luxury, no pomp and circumstance. But a clean safe place to sleep that is airpot and city accessible.

"Hotel lacks an inside staircase"
We were pleased with the friendly service. The shuttle van was in good shape, which we have not always experienced at other hotels where we have booked on-line, and the driver was competent. The rooms were clean, big enough and quiet. We were allowed to extend our check-out time because of a late flight. There was no coffee-maker in the room, but a […] nice restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately, there was no inside staircase which was accessible to hotel guests from the main lobby to the guest rooms on the floors above ground level. This posed a problem for my husband who suffers from a fear of riding in elevators. Our request for a room on the second floor was granted, but we did not know that a guest staircase was not available. "PanAm Hotel - not convenient for early airport dep"
We arrived late at night and had to wait an hour for free shuttle pick up to the hotel. I got to the hotel about midnight. I used the free lobby computer and printer to print my boarding pass for next day flight. The printer had no ink so I had no boarding pass. I needed to be at the airport by 6:00 am. The $10 hotel shuttle trips were at 4:00am and […] 5:30am. 4:00am was too early.5:30 trip went to LGA and then JFK (my destination) and there was no guarantee I would make JFK by 6:00am. The desk clerk suggested taxi at 5:00am for $35. I took the taxi which charged me $40. I wish I had booked a hotel closer to the airport with free and frequent shuttle service. Leia mais

"Fine if you don't mind overheated room"
The hotel is basiclaly what you pay for. Don't expect too much. Location is great but you can't control the temperature in your room unless you open the window.

The hotel is starting to show its age, but despite that the room was clean and good maid service daily. The room smelt a little on arrival, but it was a smoking room. I always carry some fabrice freshener with me when travelling, a few squirts of that made the room smell nice. I left the spray out in my room and the maid used it every time she called! The […] room had a nice big telly, plenty of hot water and decent loo paper (how many hotels supply thin stuff these days!) Reception staff were helpful and in the usual New York style were very direct (some might think they were being rude, but it is the way in New York - factual and direct) Very good airport transfer. I called on arrival at JFK and a bus was there with 15 minutes. Return transfer was also good and on time. A charge of $10 was made for the return, which is a good price for New York. The only thing that let the hotel down was the restaurant . Service was poor, food was basic and the waitress put her own tip on the bill. My advice is go out to eat. Nowadays I don't see many hotels with no free ViFi. I took it grant but found I had to pay for internet access in the room when I checked in. There are two computers in the lobby to get online for free. But I was disappointed for no free internet in the room. There is no coffee maker either in the room, not to say refrigerator or microwaves. The room […] size is regular, not too small. But there were too little facilities in the room. It was early October in New York. They don't offer heating at this time. So the room was not so warm. The location is not bad, close to subway station, about 7-10 minutes walking. There is bus station by the hotel. People who are annoyed by traffic noise might want to reserve a room in the back side. No complimentary breakfast. Shuttle to the airport takes $10 each person. The Pan American was a good experience, overall. It's an older building, but reasonably well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lounge was a really busy disco/salsatheque with lots of excellent dancing going on. It's about 5 blocks from the nearest subway stop -- not great when carrying luggage, but better than most hotels in this price […] range. "Hotel is very close to everything..."
Well everything it was ok the room its was clean but the bathroom is too small and they need to clean more. The bed it was good u can sleep well. The service in the restaurant they are very good but in the front desk they are too serious and they not invite u to ask them anything only the necessary. Watch out for the hidden charges is my best advice. The "hotel" is old, musty, and in real need of upgrading. I would reccommend another place to stay

"A smoke free society"
One commissions a non-smoking room. At some point, someone somewhere in the hotel lights one up, and it ends up in your room. Is it the bathroom exhaust vent where it is coming from??? Plus it was in the hallway!

I will used this hotel exclusivly ( if the have vacancies) on my way to europe from Calif. Yhis time I went to Egypt.
"You get what you pay for"
This is the cheapest hotel in the area. The hotel is "tired" but it is clean and worked great for us when we were attending an event in Flushing. Our room overlooked very busy Queens Blvd. but the windows were pretty soundproof. We only heard the loudest vehicles. My only complaint about the room was the beds were squeaky.
