This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect. Just a short walk (3-5 min) to the Temple Bar area, Hop On-Hop Off tour bus pick up locations, the Sphere and shopping area. Literally one block from a mall in case you forget something. There is a great little restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel called the Winding Stair, and lots of other great places to eat in the Temple Bar area. Great bar - lounge area - very cool with big leather chairs and a laid back atmosphere and great music. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Dublin.

Hotel is contemporary - sort of a "W" wannabe. The rooms are nicer than the lobby and the lobby is more attractive in the evening than the day. I arrived around 9 a.m. - they suggested I wait in the restuarant. Even though they were full the previous night, within 30 minutes they had my room ready and allowed me to check in. Even though it is just across the bridges, there is no Temple Bar noise here - very quiet!

Stayed at the Morrison on our way out of Ireland. Hotel was quite hip and comfortable. Located near Temple Bar, but not in the thick of it. Bathrooms perhaps a little run down.

We enjoyed a super girls night away at this hotel. We were given excellent service and rooms were perfect. The location is excellent - walking distance of great shops and restaurants and bars.

This is an outstanding hotel. Very modern, well designed, and in an excellent location. A definite find. My only complaint was the 5 Euro charge for one half pint bottle of water from the minibar. $7.50 for a glass of water. Sheesh. A bit steep, I would say. So, stay here but avoid the minibar and its outrageous charges.

Only disappointment was that hotels.com indicated the hotel had its own parking area and that is not true - there is a public parking structure a half block up from the hotel. None the less, the parking structure was reasonably priced, we had no need to access our rental car during our three day stay, and the manager offered us breakfast each morning for the misunderstanding. The proximity to top attractions cannot be beat! Temple Bar, Grafton Street Shopping, both Catherdrals, and so much more is easy walking distance. This would definitely be my first choice for a future Dublin holiday stay!

The hotel is very modern, which was cool at first, but felt a bit impersonal and cold when staying there. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and the location was fabulous!

Very elegant lobby and bars/restaurant. Rooms are very modern and well laid out, and good size for downtown Dublin. Right across pedestrian bridge from Templebar (2 minute walk), and adjacent garage has cheap (for Dublin) parking for hotel guests (14 euro for 24 hours). Location couldn't be better, staff is very helpful.

The hotel location is very good, close both to Temple Bar (across the river) and the main shopping area. You can walk anywhere from here. The public areas are comfortable (even if s somewhat dated now having been designed in the standard boutique-hotel style). My room was comfortable and veeeery quiet. The bathroom wasn't working properly so they probably need a plumber to have a go at fixing all the fixtures. But this wasn't an inconvenience

After reading all the reviews, I think I was expecting a "wow" factor. It's basically a Westin-like hotel. Wasn't huge and rooms were fine. Location was ideal though, and hotels.com had by far the best rate for this hotel. Hotel staff on the other hand were so friendly and helpful. Was beyond impressed.

Overall the hotel was good, good location, friendly staff, the bed was comfortable, it was a little on the pricey side, but it seems that everything in Dublin is that way. The only real problem I had with the hotel was the fact that we asked for a non-smoking room and they told us it was, but someone had obviously smoked in the room previously, I just wish the hotel would have truly non-smoking room where smoking is not allowed ever, not just when someone requests it. Overall the hotel was good and much better the Morgan Hotel in Temple bar, quieter and only across the river a small walk from Temple Bar and other sites.

the morison is a fabulous hotel. the staff were extremley helpfull and very pleasant. the only negative aspect for me was no hotel parking available. however there is a car park beside the hotel which cost us 14 euros.

Decor of the hotel is very dark but the friendly staff made up for it. Lounge and bar area have very modern but impractical seating and this leads to a distinct lack of athmosphere. We ate a delicious breakfast across the river at a fraction of the hotel cost. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel and its location and staff are its major pluses.

Super hotel in a great location in Dublin. Convenient for walking the city or catching the bus tour. Modern and trendy setting

stayed here on the 30 may 2009 for our wedding anniversary. on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly check in staff, couldn't do enough for us. Upgraded us to a suite when she heard it was our anniversary. The hotel is very well located to visit all the major tourist sites, shopping area's and all the club's and bars you could imagine. Food was excellent and reseaonable. would go back for our next anniversary.

we stayed in the morrison last weekend, and to be honest, we were a bit disappointed. the hotel is really dark - the corridors are nearly black with a musky smell. The room was ok, but the whole place could do with an update/revamp. can't say much about the service, because all we had to do with staff was checking in and out - no complaints there, efficient and friendly. we did not have breakfast there, because €21.50 for a full irish is a bit expensive! location is fab, though - a walk across the bridge and you are in temple bar. we enjoyed our stay, but if we were to go to dublin again for a weekend, we'd book somewhere else.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in all ways. The staff was friendly, helpful and went the extra mile. The location perfectly central to all major sight seeing attractions but not so close that it was noisy or too busy. The restaurant and bar was great - creative drinks, good food.

The Morrison has seen better days but the location is the beest. This was my second time in 8 years and the economic downturn shows. The staff however is wonderful and couldn't be more proffessional and helpful. LOVED the bath products, very green and herbal.

The best thing about The Morrison is its location and the communal areas of the hotel. Our room was standard, it was bare (not even one print on the walls) it was dimly lit and in dire need of refurbishment! The mini bar and breakfast were over priced. The bathroom was nasty, various stains around sink, toilet and shower..... There was a shower curtain..... I haven't seen one of those in a hotel in a long while.... and really, when in the shower, I don't recommend looking up! It was reminiscent of a student bedsit! My biggest complaint: I rang ahead to get directions to the car park and was given the wrong directions......... I was livid, I do not know my way around Dublin. When I complained the receptionist said maybe she thought we were coming over the bridge, The nearest bridge is PEDESTRIAN... why would I be looking for the car park if I was walking? So turn left directly after the hotel........... that is the easiest way to get to the car park! If I was John Rocha, I would be swiftly disassociating myself with this hotel.

This hotel is very new and very well maintained. My only complaint was the bed... a little stiff, but I guess that's Europe.

Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome from the staff at reception,Alas, the hotel has no car park facilities,I used the Jervis street car park adjacent to the hotel at a daily rate of 14 Euro. Our room was fine although after reading previous reviews I was expecting worse,Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but spent a bit of time in the bar,I found the staff very attentive. I would have no qualms about staying here again and as i said in the title it has a great location...

from check in to leaving i was looked after in the manner anyone would expect. Reception staff very professional and i was checked in and upstairs in minutes... the room is divine except they could put a few more channels on the tv and a few free movie channels would be nice... a bath might be nice too...especially to try out the lovely goodies provided for bathtime fun only down side was i was near a fire exit and it was a busy floor also they left the service cart outside my door most of the morning which was annoying as there was lots of noise on saturday morning otherwise what a great hotel thumbs up to the d1 area...

The Morrison has a GREAT location, walk to Temple Bar, Trinity College and St. Stephens Green and Grafton Street. Hotel is right on the "liffey" (river). Location can't be beat. Parking is non-existent. Desk staff did not know what the deal was with the garage down the street (which is twelve euro per day, not too bad). But staff did not know if we could take our car in and out without paying again. So we didn't bother with validating our parking. We stayed 3 nights and were assigned a room on floor 1 which is 2nd story. It was a bit noisy with cars and people coming to and from Temple Bar until 3 AM. Not a bad hotel experience, but not a 5. Right across the street from The Clarence owned by Bono and the Edge. Might try that next trip to Dublin.

Fab hotel, trendy, friendly, helpful staff and in an excellent spot for Temple Bar and O'connell Street. We had a great stay - food was excellent and cocktails fantastic. Would def go back. Only issues we had is that the room was dimly lit and a lack of plugs for hairdryer/kettle

This hotel is considered to be one of Dublin's top 5 hotels. That being said my mattress was as stiff as a board, there was a constant knocking noise all day below the room and although you can self-regulate the temperature in the room it was either cold air blowing or hotter than a sauna in the room. I was personally disrespected, offended, and discriminated against returning to the hotel my second night's stay by the staff and night manager as I proceeded to discuss it with him.

I was suprised with the quality of the hotel. Some of the negative reviews now seemed petty compared to what I seen at the Morrison. The staff was wonderful taking care of our every need. The hotel had a different type of look compared to other nice hotels (huge mirrors throughout the lobby and bars). The rooms were nice and clean. The room provided: flat screen tv, robes, big windows, safe, and a big bathroom. The Morrison's location is excellent, sitting right on the river across from the Temple Bar area(3 min walk). I would stay there again

Great Hotel, having stayed at the superior rated Fitzwilliam Hotel on a previous visit the Morrison proved to be a more than worthy rival. In many senses, including the interior design it was arguably better than its superior rated rival. Staff were very helpful and friendly and room was nice and spacious and comfortable. Good location only minues walk from the shops, Temple Bar and main city sights. All in all, bar the Euro rate, great value Hotel for those looking for somewhere decent to stay.

The Morrison is a beautiful hotel with contemporary interior design. Room was standard but fine. Bars were lovely and nice evening atmosphere. The best thing about the Morrison is it's location. Right on the River and opposite Temple Bar, it's great for finding a cafe for breakfast or going out in the evening. It's a 2 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. A perfect location as a tourist for all the sights and shopping too.

You can't beat the location. Temple Bar is just over the bridge so you're close but you're not so close that you're affected by all the activity. You can easily walk to all the sites. The room decor is very hip.

For the location of the hotel, being close to the shopping centres and tourist attractions and the 24 hour top class staff service makes it for a hotel that we will return to again.

The Hotel is in a great location in downtown Dublin. It's easily within walking distance of everything in the downtown area, plenty of restaurants and bars. Hotel was clean & quiet! The staff is very friendly and helpful we flew overnight, arrived in the morning and they had our room available so we were checked in by 9:30 a.m. There is public transportation available in buses and cabs right outside. I suggest using a cab from the airport to the hotel, we took a bus and it took 45 minutes. The cab back to airport was only 15 minutes.

Wonderful hotel that will make the locals say, "Oh, you're staying at the Morrison, nice!!"

Overlooking the Liffey and across from the Temple Bar area, this was a great location. it is within walking distance to many sites.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating at the Morrisson from when we arrived to when we left. The room was ok size, a little small maybe. Good facilities (TV, HiFi, tea/coffee). No iron - had to ring down for it. Bed was comfy but again a little on the small side. The room was quite warm and although it had air conditioning, the fan rattled when it was on which was very annoying and kept us awake. Also one of the lights in the room would not turn off (there was no switch and the power point was not accessible). Parking was in the multi storey car park next to the hotel at €14 for 24 hours. To use the gym is extra as well. Food in the hotel is nice, we had some lunch there. Breakfast was very expensive and we went out for dinner. Drinks are also very expensive (€9 for a glass of wine!). The bar area has a worn look (it's a popular spot at the weekend)- there were some white leather cushions which looked manky, could really do with a face lift. The hotel is located very centrally, just across the river from Temple Bar. There are lots of restaurants and cafe's around to eat out if desired. Overall, it was nice but I expected more. It is supposed to be a Boutique hotel and from others I stayed in it was nothing extra special.

Stayed here 5th - 7th Spetember 2008 and so glad we did. Ive stayed in Dublin several times before and this is withou doubt one of the best. We arrived early and got the aircoach to temple bar where it was a 5 - 10 mins walk to the hotel. Upon arrival our room wasnt ready and so our bags were stored for us allowing us to explore Dublin. As mentioned the Morrison is very central less than 5 mins walk to temple bar, 2 mins to o'connell street, about 5 to Grafton street and virtualy backs on to the Jervis shopping centre. The rooms were very tastefully decorated with a flat screen tv, mini bar (very overpriced, go to tesco at the Jervis centre 2 mins away), electronic safe, umberella (certainly came in usefull for us) etc. As in some reviews ive read the hallways are a bit dark but this is the style of the hotel and certainly not a problem. The hotel bar was very trendy, always busy on a night with a great atmosphere and the drinks were the same price as the other bars we went to. I would deffinately recomend this hotel to anyone visiting dublin an will deffinately be going back myself.

The Morrison is located right across the Liffe from Temple Bar. You are close to everything but don't have to deal with all the late night revelers. Their are great places to eat, grab coffee or a bagel very close to the hotel. The staff was friendly in getting me a new room. The original one they sent me smelled like smoke and I had requested a non-smoking room. Free internet access is a bonus. Unlike other hotels, the Morrison lobby, bar and restaurant are great places to hang out and meet friends and collegues.

I had a wonderful stay at the Morrison Hotel. The room was clean and we had a beautiful view of the river. The staff was friendly and extremly helpful. The hotel was located just across the river from Temple Bar which was very convenient without being too close. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.
