There was toothpaste and other splatters all over the wall. I wiped the wall on both sides and it was very brown, dirty. The door to the tub area was dirty also. The time before this when I stayed there I complained about the walls, floors and door in the bath. The cleaning manager came to the room and argued with me that it was there before??? Needs a breakfast alternative to the buffet.

It is very clean and comfortable. Good location, just 10mins drive to strips. It is far beyond what I expected. The only thing I don't like is it is not a pet friendly hotel, actually they hate animals. I took my dog around the hotel, they let us leave the area for several times. Hotel is in Downtown and is close to the freeway. It is connected by bridge to the California Hotel. Check out the Garden Court Buffet and Triple 7 Brewpub.

The price is good and room is clean. The brewery offers good beers and primeribs. The rooms facing the freeway are noisy, so stay on the other side of the hotel if possible.

The best deal in town. You are a little close to the rail road tracks but the TV or AC will cover up the noise. The rooms are large and comfortable. The buffet is top notch. Free parking. I really liked this hotel. We chose it because we wanted to stay downtown but away from the noise of Fremont Street. This was less than 5 minutes away from Fremont Street, so it was convenient to entertainment but still very quiet. The hotel itself is gorgeous! Beautiful decor and lots of cool antiques to check out. Our room was nice - comfortable […] bed, but could have used better pillows. I liked not having those cheap polyester blankets that you sometimes get in cheaper hotels; instead we had nice cotton sheets and a light cotton blanket. The air conditioner was noisy and the room got pretty warm if we didn't have it on, even though we were visiting in January. The bathroom was a little tight, but fine overall. The room we got was spacious. The TV only has a couple channels, mostly basic cable. I read in a lot of places that the buffet at Main Street is the best downtown. Maybe I'm just not a buffet person, but I thought everything was just kind of bland and underwhelming. The Triple 7 Brewery restaurant was better. I found the food at the California to be pretty bland too, and they are owned by the same company. But if you want really good food, check out Hash House A Go-Go at the Plaza! Really fresh food and you get a ton of food for what you pay. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you want a quiet, comfortable place to stay downtown. Rooms are large, but the bed was uncomfortable. The Casino part is well taken care of and looks/feels great but once out of the elevator feels more like the shinning. Mostly a decor issue as the rooms are large and have plenty of light and unlike neighbouring hotels the adjustments on ac/heat are more adaptable. The elevators are slow, but there are […] 4 of them, if you drive use the stairs the elevator in parking structure is only good if you have luggage. Plumbing seems dated the water in shower would shoot from boiling to luke warm then back in seconds. i really liked it. i went for my sis 40th birthday party. and it was a great ballroom. the wood finish all over was amazing . i recommend the hotel but not the catering.

If you are looking to stay in the downtown area this hotel is a great option. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. However, if you are sensitve to cigarette smoke this may not be the best location, although non-smoking floors are available you will be hit with a wave of smoke everytime you come through the hotel lobby. Some hotels/casinos […] do a better job than others at filtering the smoke and unfortunately Main Street was on the low end in this regard. then Main street station is a great place to stay. I did not like downtown Vegas much--dark, old, cramped, slightly seedy. I much prefer the Strip or even the new places south of the strip. This hotel does have a great brewery--VERY fun place. Good food, lively.

Great place to stay. It is just across the larger California Club Casino connected by an enclose overhead foot bridge which makes it easy to go from one casino to another to gamble or eat. Also the casino is next to the freeway so we could see it as we drove on the freeway . The buffet was out of this world..

We loved our stay - also the idea of the old railroad depot with saving as much of the history as possible in the interior decor and items. Great history and a convenient location for enjoying Fremont Street area. Also, secure parking. Also, a great price. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. and would stay again when in the area.

Had an excellent stay.(2 nights).. very comfortable bed!! Hotel is next to RR tracks so there was a little noise from occasional trains, but not too annoying. The 777 sportsbar/restaurant had extremely good food..This is a very good place to stay off the strip, and it is right next to the Fremont St activities.

If you like being downtown, it is a good location. No frills or thrills but a nice enough place to sleep. We stayed in a non-smoking room but there was still a hint of old cigarette smell.

Love this place and the California hotel connected. Great food, cheaper tables, clean rooms, not as crowded. The only drawback is that it can be a little smoky.

The Main Street Station is a great place to stay. The rooms are very nice, roomy, well decorated and well kept. The Garden Buffet is great. There's something for everyone, the price is very reasonable and the service is friendly and attentaive. As for the gaming, it is varied with games of every denomination, a selection to keep anyone busy. Main Street Staion is easy to get to, easy garage parking, fast check-in process, and best of all, only 2 blocks from the Fremont Street Experience!

The room looked out over the air conditioning units/generator things and was extremely loud all night with the motors running.

Got a false fire alarm - had to rush down to ground floor from top floor. The stuffs at lobby seemed careless. Stain on the towels. Otherwise fine.

2nd time I was there in one month and I still like the hotel. I don't smoke so the faint smell of smoke in the casino took a while to get used to. The think I liked the most about the room was the bed and bedding. The bedding was simple, light, and it was all very very white. I felt like I had a clean bed!!!!! I stayed at the Main Street Station for the very first time last weekend, and it was everything I was hoping for and more. The room was a nice size for the price and very clean, and the staff was very professional. I also like that it's located a little ways away from the hustle and bustle of Fremont Street.

Dusty and old looking in the harsh glare of the mid-day sun, MSS transforms into coolness with cool decor any time of day. Everywhere there are antiques, from the cut glass mirrors, hardwood floors, antique furniture, porcelain urns and so on. I'm not a buff, but I know quality when I see it. Choose from a Philly Cheese Steak sandwhich, Sushi or Nachos […] Grandes (among other things) at the very good microbrewery there. The buffet was good too. Great food for a reasonable price. One very interesting objet d'art resides in the men's room. It is innovatively placed on a wall where we can purge our systems in a constructive manner. Good value but please don't go there. If you love historic things this is the hotel for you. Stepping into this hotel is like stepping back in time into the old west from the exterior and interior architecture to the vintage items around the hotel such as old slot machines on display in the the Lobby. This hotel is very easy to get around and has delicious and afforable food options. Though […] the hotel is old it is well maintained and the rooms are rennovated with a contemporary style. Having the refrigerator was very convenient to have for drinks and leftover food. I am a huge disneyland fan and coming here reminded me so much of Main Street USA and frontierland. This hotel is not on the strip but in downtown very close to the free mount night life which is phenomenal. Hotel itself has a good restaurant and convenience store in the lobby. Room has most of the amenities. It takes about 20 usd to go to the strip which is the only inconvenience.

Our stay at Main Street Station was Great! Our room was very nice and kept very clean. Our room service was very prompt and kept our room clean. We noticed a small spot of the wall paper in the sink/bathroom area was coming loose and we notified the front desk and it was fixed by the time we got back to our room for the evening. The room was small but in good shape and clean for the most part (besides the trash under the bed). We really enjoyed the Triple 7 brewery and restaurant inside the hotel/casino. Also only a block away from Fremount. I would rank it above many Fremount Street Hotels, but well below the Golden Nuggent.

Hotel room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. The casino had the smell of cigarette smoke, a turnoff for anyone that doesn;t smoke, but room did not smell of smoke. Didn't think much of the buffet. Have certainly had better in Vegas. The restaurant was ok.

if you enjoy an old worn out hotel with old cig smoke permeating everything, a strange musty oder where the smoke didn't get to and an unfriendly casino to boot, this is your place!

This was honestly a great hotel to stay at. Their restaurants had great food and great service and the hotel room was surprisingly bigger than I had thought. It was very cleaned and maintained very well. I really enjoyed my stay especially that it was a lot calmer than staying on the strip. The hotel was clean and comfortable. However the location is not anywhere near the strip and they offer no shuttle. This is truly the last hotel on the road a good 20 minute bus trip or a $20.00 one way cab fare to the strip and on the opposite end of town from the airport . It would have been cheaper to spend more on the room and be closer than to […] pay round trip cab fare every day. When asked about the shuttle, the front desk made no offer of telling me a cheap bus was close. There was only a tiny safe not big enough for my notebook computer. My bed did not get made the first day. No mini fridge or other amenities in the room for snacking or keeping things cold. I would stay again now that I know about the transportation options but had to figure these out on my own. The pool was on the 13th floor of another hotel. One of the hotel restaurants was a block away and not open much. Only free wifi was in a small section of the lobby. We wanted to rent a car to go to Hoover Dam, and there is a rental desk in the lobby. However they close at 2:30 so you have to return your car by then also or be charged more. The good points, clean reasonable sized functional room, 2 queens, TV, aircon, free wifi in most public areas, free parking on site. Minor niggles, no fridge in room, noisy aircon unit (but it was 110 F outside!), no wifi in room, no tea coffee making facilities in the room but these are very minor niggles bearing in mind the deal I got on hotels.com. […] I actually booked this hotel expecting the worse and prepared to stay elsewhere and parking the car here, my theory being 3 nights here included free parking and was cheaper than 3 days parking at one of the strip hotels. I was pleasantly surprised. The deals you can get at this hotel can put you off, I asked myself why it was so cheap and having stayed there I still do not know why. We ate at the Triple 7 restaurant / brew pub and enjoyed their local beers. We had breakfast at the Garden court buffet. Both are highly recommended. Noisey

The hotel has history. It is well maintained. We enjoyed the wood inlayed walls and detailed decor.

I've stayed at Main Street a number of times, and haven't been disappointed. Pros: good prices for rooms, nice rooms, not too large a hotel, don't have to walk through casino to get to your room, very good onsite restaurants, easy access to parking and Fremont Street. Cons: away from the strip, some rooms face (and hear) freight trains, no pool, no […] workout area. All in all, a dependable place to stay in Vegas. If you like the downtown experience, you can't go wrong. However, don't expect party central here - most folks are middle-aged tourists and families on vacation. Leia mais

Of the Downtown Las Vegas hotels, the Main Street Station is my favorite. It is a block away from Fremont street. So, it is a little bit of a walk to Fremont, but also a little quieter.
