The rooms were clean and comfortable, loved the location and ameneties, but the customer service was lacking, the hotel attendants had an attitude especially when we checked in. we would stay there again, just because the hotel itself is so nice and the ameneties are that good.

I sort of feel like my tagline should have been "false advertising", but that's a bit harsh. I know South Lake Tahoe is old and semi-run down. I've been there regularly for 15 years. But when Montbleu was advertised as a NEW hotel on the website, I assumed that meant "renovated". Not so much! The main floor/lobby/casino has been updated semi-recently, […] but the rooms... still good 'ole Ceasar's Palace... mold/grime/decoration and all. My best advice... come to Montbleu for fun (it's a really great casino and Ceira is the BEST resturant), but don't sleep here 'til they are forced to renovate the rooms. Marriot in the Heavenly Village is a WAY better/cleaner option if you actually want to sleep during your stay. The bed a Montbleu was absolutely the worst! The springs would pop every time one of us rolled over and we're both average weight/height. Leia mais

This was one of best experience in south lake Tahoe. Our first stay in this hotel and we fell in love with it. We liked the idea of breakfast in bed because we were hungover the food wasnt the greatest. We are playing another trip next month and will book here again

I would have rated the hotel much higher with the "Comfort of your room" survey however, the pillows on the bed were just horrible and the king size bed was not very comfortable.

I was thoroughly disgusted when I walked into our room. There was food or something crusted on the wall near the bed, stains on the couch and the funky green satin decor around the window, and most gross of all, black hairs all over in the bathroom not to mention something spilled on the wall near the sink, which ANY maid should have seen and could […] have wiped away!! Seriously, I stayed here a few years ago and it was fine, but this was unacceptable. Not only that, but woke up multiple times in the night because the walls are VERY thin, heard every conversation by the drunk guys next door, and heard the girl one of them brought home at 3am. The last straw was the smoking. Somebody was smoking next to us and it just came right into our room, and you can't open the windows so there was no way to escape it. The other thing is the room service, I called and was on automated hold for 30 minutes before I walked down to the restaurant that does the room service and placed my order. They still charged me for room service charge it was just sad. I'd rather stay at Motel 6 next time. Leia mais

I couldn't wait to try out this hotel. I heard everything had been updated and renovated. Sadly I was disappointed. The hotel is older (obviously), but not well maintained, and not clean. There was a beautiful velevet chair in our room....with a disgustingly questionable stain on it. Obviously we (or our 3 year old) were not going to sit on it. The […] beds were very hard. The design of the room was nice, with the giant circular tub/shower (original to the building) . However the tub/shower was not well maintained at all. The check in was quick and easy, I will say that. We had a late arrival, there was no line and we recieved our keys and were on our way upstairs in under 5 minuites. If we weren't travelling with our 3 year old, I am sure we would have enjoyed the casino. The coffee shop downstairs serves Starbucks, so that's a plus. I thought I would get a flat screen TV like it showed on the Internet. Also, we stayed there 23 years ago when it was Cesar's....it has not changed much. Not too many places to eat and no show that night. We had to go to another hotel.

Very nice accommodations. Great location. Actually very good room service food too. They gave us a bottle of sparkling wine as it was our anniversary; not the best sparkling wine I've had(but made great mimosas!), but a very nice gesture.

Horrible customer service!! Not worth the money, would have rather paid more and stayed somewhere else! Rooms were very out dated and not clean. Staff was not helpful or friendly. Also they will change you an additional fee when you check out of $2.25 for a service fee (we asked the front desk and they stated it was a fee for staying at the hotel. The Mont Bleu use to be the old Cesars Palace Lake Tahoe. There have been new upgrades to the premium rooms. Our room had a nice big bathroom a jacuzzi near our King size bed a coach nice view of the mountains but no fridge which we did not like . Come to find out you have to pay $20.00 a night for a small fridge, not wort it. The only thing I was angry […] about is that our room did not have a safe it was removed. WE went down twice to ask for one and they never brought one up. Bad cusatomer service at the front desk. But if you want to top notch next time I would stay at Harveys across thee street you pay a little more but ti's worth it. Leia mais

Our toilet in the room was leaking. Also after we showered we noticed drawings of genitals and breasts on the clear shower tile. Did they not clean the room? Other locations in the room were also not wiped clean. We told the front desk when we checked out and they did not seem to care.

This hotel exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. The room was very large, which made placing our pack-n-play easy, and also very quiet. However, our white socks were quickly black on the bottom from the carpet, so we refrained from letting our 9-month old crawl around the large room. The staff and the service were excellent. The food was excellent.

Room was spacious and the tub/shower was incredible. The pool has gorgeous intermittent waterfall and the rock walls by the hot tub make it seem like you're in an exotic locale. If you have a lot of luggage it's worth paying a bellhop as there isn't a direct walkway from the parking garage to the upper floors of the hotel.

I was staying 2 days in Tahoe before I had back home to LA . When I was booking the hotel I read the reviews and the pictures and the location everything seemed descent, us it's a casino hotel I taught it's gonna be clean. I got to the hotel and I was parking there was construction going on, the lobby and the elevator area it was smelling. The room […] was a good size bit not updated, the water in the shower tub was not moving. The TV was shutting on and off needed an upgraded programing. Hot water was off on midnight when I called the front desk they said they are working on it, if I knew it was under construction I would've booked somewhere else , they should advise travelers of that. Great location and comfy room. I stayed in the premier king and the hot tub in the room alone was a reason o stay here :-)

tv channels didn't work old tvs need to update bathtub and shower glass Ceasar Hotel days. overall was living in the past.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very beautiful and the fact we were upgraded to a suite kind of sealed the deal. My only complaint would be that there was dents in some of the walls and one of the glass shades was broken on one of the sconces. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The floor was dirty and sheet had stain on it. You had to paid for internet service. The decor is still stuck in the 80's. We only stay for one night. The rest of our vaction we stay at Best Western Plus. There room was much cleaner, free internet, and free breakfast. Our room overlook the lake.

The hotel was great and we enjoyed the stay, however the room needs updating. The tables and hutches were scratched and looked worn out. The bed was comfortable and the maids were very nice and helpful. I would stay again, but next time we are going to request an updated room and not one that is in need of some improvements. The Ac unit was so load we had to turn it off.

my wife and I stayed in one of the room last year 2010 for our first vacation at lake tahoe. the room was very clean and we decided to stay in same montebleu hotel again but turned out to be very unpleasant experience. the room floor was dirty with stains, bathroom did not have enough shower curtain to cover the shower tub, we had 2 little girls with […] us and we sure did not wanted them to see us taking a shower, bath tissue was not changed after previous stays so it had half of the roll left on the bath tissue holder, blankets smell funny. hotel had no free breakfast, no free internet access or any kind of complimentary stuffs. we ended up checking out early to anothe hotel best western. they had not only the view but all the complimentary things that made a big difference. best of all best western hotel had very clean room. we will be returning to best western next year for a week and i'll be telling all my experience to other whom will be taking vacation there at lake tahoe Leia mais

It is a second class hotel at best. Used to be a Casear hotel and casino but the new owners have not done much to change the decor or update the facilities. The staff seemed quite indifferent and simply going through the motions of checking in guests, etc.

Hotel was what we expected - dated interior but it seems they're working to modernize some areas. Kids loved the pool. We didn't spend much time at the hotel so for the money, it was just what we needed.

Spa in the room..big king bed...staff was pilite and helpful...pool is sweet....pool party sweet...nice big clean room in tahoe...good times

Stayed here with my friends for my 21st birthday and its definitely the nicest hotel and best casino. I sat at the bj table for hours and the waitress came around about every 10 minutes

The decor is really outdated. The cafe inside the casino was just soso... Nothing you couldnt make at home. We went to the niteclub in the hotel and the crowd was very young and local. We hung out at the circle bar in the middle of the casino floor mosr of the time, the bartenders were pretty nice. We will try a different casino next time we go.

Overall, the hotel is very good. It is in much need of a face lift. It is a fairly old hotel. The restaurant is good. The gym is good. The use of a computer in the business office is a plus. Location is excellent. Access is easy in and out. Sportsbook is probably the best in Tahoe.

We had a great time in NV. The room was very nice with beautiful view of the lake shore. We plan on coming back next year and staying at Montbleu. Buffet was very good and very inexpensive. Very quiet and peaceful.

The stay at Montbleau was good. The cleanliness was good as one would expect and the beds were also very comfortable. Our bathroom had water leaking from above and that is why I am rating it only 3. The staff was good. Also, we enjoyed playing in the casino...

Location was great, we were attending an event on the property. Decor is dated. Room shows substantial wear. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. For the area, I would say the hotel is average

Clean and comfortable. Missed not having coffee maker in room. Hotel restaurant service was very poor.
