Como San Diego não é uma megalópole, o deslocamento de carro para todos os pontos turísticos é rápido, em particular Gaslamp Quarter e Little Italy (dois locais imperdíveis de se ir à noite). Localizado junto à praia e restaurantes diversos, é uma boa para quer quer surfar e comer. O hotel é do tipo econômico (padrão Orlando) e dispõe de lavanderia. Havia famílias americanas com crianças e estavam todas satisfeitas. O café é servido no lobby (café, leite, chá, suco e muffins doces). Se quiser, pode montar seu kit e levar para o quarto. O quarto com duas camas de casal é amplo, limpo e comfortável. A internet é paga. O entorno é seguro para um passeio à pé. Há todo tipo de comércio que precisar nos arredores. Tudo compatível com o preço. Fiquei muito satisfeito e recomendo com empenho.

O Hotel é muito bom, porém a localização é meio longe de tudo, mas como nos USA vc precisa de carro para tudo, este não é um gde problema se quiser pagar mais barato...único comentário que tenho que fazer é que esqueceram de limpar e arrumar nosso quarto em um dos dias....recepcionistas muito atenciosos...tem um chillis(restaurante) que consegue ir andando tb...café da manhã muito bom.

"DANA HOTEL SAN DIEGO"
I booked the hotel on the internet because it was offering reduced rates. The hotel consists of some 1970's two storey walk ups and a newer section. We were booked into one of the old buildings and unfortunately one of the ajoining rooms decided to watch TV from 2:00am to 3:30 am. Even with ear plugs and trying to sleep on the floor away from the wall, […] it was a nightmare. The manager generously and without hesitation, cancelled the room charge and put us into another renovated building for our stay on the 28th. The hotel advertised breakfast with the room but we were not offerred that either day. In all fairness, the noisy guest is always luck of the draw in a motel, but you have a better chance of not being disturbed in newer premises, preferrably concrete. Leia mais

Great location - walking distance to miles of boardwalk and the hotel is on a beautiful property. Very close to everything. The room needed a bit of updating but overall a great time.

Beautiful location, great food, king size beds are hard to come by so plan on queen size, pool and jacuzzi are wonderful, located with view of Marina. Conventions take up parking and restaurant area. If youwant romantic getaway, stay on ground floor on Marina side with tropical pool view or building 2000 or stay somewhere else. Downside is small rooms, […] noisy hallways and parking congestion when conventions there. Need carpet on hallways, rearrange furniture to allow two chairs for sitting together. Microwave does not belong under the counter in bathroom. What good is private parking if you raise the gates to let everyone in at special events so guests can't even get close to their rooms. We stayed 4 nights at the Dana, which included breakfast at the Blue Pearl. We ate every morning there and the breakfast was very delicious and most generous! Anna was our hostess every morning who made us feel most welcome and a very sweet person! Our last morning she gave us hugs and sent us home with a delicious roll!, We also ate dinner there..very […] good. It was convenient to have the trolley stop there for pick up to Old Town. We did miss the trolley and Mike the bus driver took us to Old Town! What a nice service and nice guy!! The grounds are beautiful. Our beds were comfy. "Loved this Place!"
We had a Marina view room, and loved the view, and that we could walk out onto the lawns from our room patio. Pools were warm enough for outdoor swimming, staff was friendly, rooms were large, airy, and clean. Will definitely go back next time we are in San Diego.

The Hotel and surroundings are beautiful! The Staff could not have been more helpful!
Great location. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. My only complaint is about the pillows. The pillow they use are the large foam kind which for me are almost impossible to get used to. I called the front desk to get them changed and despite their claim to "get right on it', they never did.

The walls were very thin...we could hear the comings and goings of our neighbors, as well as their conversations. The handle of the hot water at the sink came off in my hand. We were here two years ago and had a bayside room which was fabulous. This time we were in the back at one of the poolside rooms and I wished I had opted for the higher priced […] room. The Dana hotel at Mission Hills was the perfect hotel for us! Proximity to Seaworld. Fantastic view of the Marina and excellent breakfast offered at nearby restaurant.

Nothing marvelous about The Dana but good for last minute getaways or long extended stays with people still on a budget. On the positive note, this hotel must be given some pluses.The hotel is very centrally located around Sea World and close to the water of Dana Landing. The bike paths around the hotel do offer a light jog or a walk for fresh air. […] You can jump on a bus and get to a beer in Old Town or a breakfast on Mission Beach for 5 bucks (2 ppl). The pool is clean and heated, and two decently priced on-site restaurants. It's California though, so any stay is going to be some cost higher coming from Nevada or Arizona. "The Dana Mission Bay-Great location"
We were in San Diego for my son's baseball tournament . We stayed a few days at the Dana and they offered us an upgraded room with fabulous view of the marina and bay for a small daily amount. Well worth it and they waived the daily parking fee for us taking the upgrade. Great staff and peacefull atmosphere to relax in. I would stay there again!

"A perfect night turned into two!"
Hotels.com had a special rate for this room... Our trip to Seaworld was spontaneous... It worked perfect... When we arrived they up graded us to a suite on the bay with a patio... "Price was right"
Nice location, on the water and nearby mission beach. took a little job in the morning along the w ater, it was nice.
"I'd stay there again, but not at the full price"
I got a GREAT discount through Hotels.com that helped me to decide to stay at the Dana. For reasons I do not know (and did not ask!), they upgraded my room to one that looks over the bay. The clerk told me that it was double the space of their regular rooms, so keep that in mind when I comment on how spacious the room was. Several lights were not working, […] including the one when you first enter the room. An irritation the first night, but maintenance fixed them the next day. All the other stuff in the room worked: HD TV, microwave, safe, coffeemaker, iron, refrigerator. The beds were as comfortable as beds can be. The work table and chairs, while looking nice, were the most uncomfortable pairing of chairs with a table I have ever experienced. The table was much too high (or the chairs too low) to allow computer work, etc. I finally brought a patio chair into the room and used it with the coffee table to do my work. I thought the $18 daily parking fee was a bit much to charge hotel guests. The parking lot was open, unfenced and unguarded. Like a toll booth, it had a bar that would lift up after multiple attempts to get the tired magnetic card reader to read your card. The view of the bay was amazing, day or night the view was mesmerizing. There was a public sidewalk about a hundred feet away from the rooms, and public parking a few hundred feet to the side of the hotel. All the rooms I saw had doors directly to the outside. While I would not say that I was "concerned", I would say that I made sure the door was locked and the sliding door's bar was in place. I ate lunch at the "Blue Pearl", a restaurant on the hotel's premises the last day of my stay. I am sorry I did not eat there before. The food was generously proportioned, excellent, reasonably priced, and the waiter was great. I would consider staying there again if I could get a similar discount. Leia mais

"Hotel with a view of the bay."
If your looking for a gorgeous view of the bay then this is the place. Hotel offered 2 restaurants and a lounge along with 2 pools on it's beautifully lanscaped grounds. Close to Sea World and other attractions. Would stay again.

Great stay for the price. We had a wonderful time. Very quiet surroundings for New Years Eve weekend. Staff was courteous. They were not able to give me my request for a King, but were apologetic and waived my daily parking fee. Firefly was outstanding for drinks and appetizers. Will definately stay there next time I'm in San Diego

"Nice hotel but too far from any night life"
The hotel is lovely but if you want to get out in the evening the choices are limited. The restaurants in the hotel are not interesting. try the bar at the Bahia for great Happy Hours-just down the road or better yet stay at the Bahia-

The Blue Pearl has wonderful breakfasts! The Firefly - wonderful deserts!. Great walking trail by the water too and right next to sea world, minutes from downtown and old town. Very comfortable.

"New Years at the Dana"
Surprisingly modern and nice amenities right on the bay. You could not beat the price on NYE. We went to dinner at a sushi place down the street, and the hotel had a shuttle that dove, which was nice considering the long wait for cab. We rang in the New Year in the hotel Bar with a decent crowd where they had complementary hats and headbands and a champagne […] toast for everyone. I ordered room service the next morning and it came very fast and was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This hotel was everything we expected. Our family stayed there from 12/26 - 12/29. It had beautiful views of Mission Bay. Very close to Sea World, less than 3 minutes. 15 minutes from San Diego Harbor. We rented wave runners (2) for 100.00 an hour and cruised around Mission Bay. Our room had a great view of the pool. Great location! Beautiful views! Rooms in the new area are very nice. We stayed at Christmas and the restaurant was short staffed so we waited a long time to be seated and eat but besides that we had a great time time.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the delux units on the waterfront. They were beautiful and extremely well appointed! The service was also second to none. Thank you so much Dana for a most wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back.

Stayed a night at the Dana after doing the theme parks and San Diego zoo. Found staff friendly and room pretty comfy. Location was excellent as we did sea world the next day. Pool and spa were great.
