Great hotel property Room and beds waere really comfortable. Great "rain" shower head. Lots of english language television stations. Front desk and concierge staff solved problems every time. Everything about Le Merdian is 5 Star, including the price, but you get what you pay for.

The location of this hotel can't be beat! More importantly, the staff service was a tremendous help. When the lost our bags, the concierge spent the entire day tracking them down for us, and arranged to have them delivered at the hotel's expense after the airlines refused to do so. Hats off to what I consider above and beyond service!

This hotel is in the best possible location, right on Las Ramblas. It was easy to access restaurants, points of interest, shopping, and the subway system. The hotel staff was friendly, and the rooms were very large (by European standards). We would definitely recommend this hotel, and would love to stay here on our next trip to Barcelona!

The Meridian is in a great location, the room was well appointed, the front desk staff very gracious and the overall experience was wonderful. The first night the air conditioner made a banging noise,so the next morning we called to have it repaired. The service tech arrrived within 5 minutes and when we returned later that day the noise was gone and the room was much cooler. The rain shower was very relaxing after a long day of sight seeing. I would love to return again in the future.

For a 4-star hotel, one would expect the level of comfort to meet or exceed that of home. However, Le Meridien Barcelona was neither. We stayed on the 4th floor, and we would be awakened by the plumbing-related noises at all times of the night/morning. Which is a total surprise considering its a Starwood hotel. Quite a disturbing experience!

Though I was just there for one night using my free rewards night, I found the hotel staff to be very respectful and helpful. This kind of hotel would ordinarily be well out of the pricerange of a college student like myself, so I dont have the same field of reference as some of the yuppy types that are used to these accomodations (no offense reader), but I can tell you I was impressed. Very shiek design, well lit, wonderful down spread and pillow, flatscreen TVs in the bedroom AND bathroom. Best shower Ive ever taken. Las Ramblas might be a little touristy and dangerous for the more seasoned traveler - really looking to escape, but its also a great taste of the city and I felt plenty safe despite the proximity. You get a free visit to the contemporary art museum as well with your stay. Problems? Too far from the beach and their pay-per-view pornography was overpriced (for the lonely business man)

We loved this hotel and the location was perfect. Our only complaint was the price of breakfast was too high so we chose not to eat any meals here.

Our room was fairly clean but well-worn and poorly maintained. The plastic bath tub did not drain properly, the hand-held shower head sprung a leak, the 2 lavatory faucets were plastic,one was broken and the other broke during our visit, the shower rod was so rusted on top it ruined the clothes we rinsed out and placed there for drying, the grout in the tile around the bath was either missing or mildewed, carpet had large bleached out spots. We had upgraded to a Junior Suite and expected higher quality for the price.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The staff was courteous and always ready to help, particularly Ricardo-the concierge on duty during most of our stay; the room was clean; the bed was comfortable; and we were within walking distance of many attractions. The restaurant was a little pricey, but there are many fine restaurants in the area, or you might want to go to the supermarket or McDonald's which are also close. There is also a small space within the room frig for your purchases.

Most comfortable bed and linens ever. Plenty of mirrors, surfaces and places to put things. Awesome, high tech lighting including motion detector night lights. Heavenly shower and great sink vanity. Will always stay at Le Meridien when in Barcelona!

Le Meridien is an excellent hotel that lived up to its five stars. We arrived late and were treated courteously, shown to our room on the first floor, which turned out to be a double, having requested a twin. However, the staff responded promptly, were extremely aplogetic and we were given another room within minutes which overlooked the fabulous Rambla. My 23 yr old daughter relished the views this gave her and every morning we were treated to the excitement of the city waking up - living statued making up, stall holders setting out wares etc. For city lovers, it was paradise. And despite its position over a busy thoroughfare, the noise level was not excessive - double glazing fairly good. The ambience of the hotel bar was friendly and welcoming, again with attentive staff and spotless facilities. In fact, we could not fault this hotel in any way. One small issue - we woke one morning to find water leaking through thte bathroom ceiling - clearly someone above us had a flood! Again staff attended within minutes of calling, deallt witht the problem and as there was a slight risk of furhter leaking we were offered a new room. (We chose not to take up the offer as we didn't want to lose our fab view but it was great that we were offered this) We would both return to this hotel and I would highly recommend it. Vive le Meridien!

the concierge was not friendly and the staff at the front desk was generally rude and not very friendly, especially considering the high rating of the hotel. The location is very central, but is also very loud. I recommend a pair of ear plugs for light sleepers

Excellent location! Only complaint was the room was uncomfortably warm. Entire hotel was "on the heat system" (as opposed to the cooling system) due to time of year (Feb), so individual room temperatures couldn't be moderated. (I believe this might be common with most if not all European hotels.) We opened the window frequently for relief but were not comfortable sleeping with it open. Staff was pleasant, helpful and professional and room amenities were great --- especially the bathroom.

Excellent location, great accommodations. However, next I will request a room facing street. The back side is too boring and uninteresting - would stay at this hotel again.

We liked everything about this hotel except the price they charge for our breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We can easily get the same breakfast for less than half the price elsewhere. Other than that, we enjoyed staying there. The location is great.

Fin beliggenhet i en sidegate ved La Rambla. Til tross for et yrende liv i nevnte hovedgate døgnet rundt, hørte vi ikke en lyd fra rommet. Stive priser i minibaren, men det er laget til god plass i kjøleskapet for medbrakte varer. (Supermarked 50 meter fra hotellet)

Alt var fint. Værelset var perfekt. Det var dejligt at bo lige ud til La Rambla, det var her der var liv og glade dage. Så alt i alt en god oplevelse

Super hotel med en perfekt beliggenhed i gå-afstand fra alt. Hotellets standard som forventet i top. Venligt og meget imødekommende personale og med en restaurant (lille) med et godt udvalg til rimelige priser. Morgenbuffet imponerende men lidt høj pris. Et hotel vi så absolut vender tilbage til

We spent 4 nights at this hotel during april. It had a great location, which meant we didn't have to use metro for the first 2 days. It was a bit pricy though, but definitely worth the money if you can find a good bargain

Changement de chambre à 2h00 du matin à cause d'un énorme cafard "vivant" trouvé dans la salle de bain !!! Refaire ses valises en pleine nuit pour regagner une autre chambre de moins bon standing. Non merci

Lækkert hotel med utroligt flotte værelser. Kæmpe seng og indbydende badeværelse. Man har meget lyst til at være på hotelværelset. Beliggenhed er rigtig fin med kort afstand til Catalunya Pladsen og dermed adgang til taxaer, turistbusser, lufthavnsbus m.v.

Het hotel ligt aan La Rambla, midden in het centrum waar alles gebeurt. Dicht bij de metro en touristenbushaltes. We kregen een paraplu van het hotel toen het regende.

Perfekt beliggenhed - ligger i gå-afstand til det meste, god service og venlig betjening, rent. Ingen mangler. Kan anbefales!

Hôtel très confortable, bien placé

Il soggiorno di una settimana è stato eccellente. Camera accessoriatissima e confortevole, illuminazione magnifica (dotata di sensori non sempre utili) letti magnifici, pulizia irreprensibile e gentilezza nel servizio. Assolutamente silenzioso anche se a un passo dalla Rambla. Unico difetto: il bagno, peraltro ottimo se si eccettua la 'normale' mancanza di bidet, ha lussuose quanto imbarazzanti pareti di vetro e una porta scorrevole che non chiude del tutto. Privacy rilassata, per così dire. Colazione non compresa, peccato. Un ottimo albergo nell'insieme.
