Hotel muito bem localizado, fica em frente da estação Centraal e realmente perto de tudo, fizemos tudo a pé. Não tem café da manhã, mas na redondeza tem vários locais para comer. O quarto e a cama são muito pequenos, mas o banheiro tem um tamanho bom.

O Hotel é novo e fica numa região próxima a alguns pontos turisticos como Anne Frank e Praça Dam. O quarto é normal com uma boa cama e bem limpo, o banheiro é todo de vidro, parece um aquário o que é desconfortável para uma viajem a 2, pois não possui trava, se escuta tudo e boa parte do vidro não é fosca. O hotel esta ligado com o restaurante art dulac café, um lugar com staff péssimo, onde não possue cardápio em ingles. Um dos serviços qe hotel oferece é uma taxa fixa de táxi onde você paga na recepção do hotel e ele te da um cartão que você tem que apresentar ao táxista e pode usar o táxi para ir para o aeroporto, o serviço é péssimo o taxista não queria nos levar pois recusamos a pagar extras por causa das malas, o que o hotel informou que já estava fechado no valor, ele não sabia que já estava pago, uma confusão. Não USE esse serviço.

Ótimo hotel, próximo do aeroporto, tem ônibus com diversos horários para o aeroporto, do aeroporto é possível chegar ao centro de trem. No geral foi um ótimo hotel, as janelas são isoladas e vc não houve o barulho do aeroporto. Na região do hotel não há nada, por isso vc sempre terá a necessidade de ir até o aeroporto.

"Good location but terrible service"
Overpriced. Not sure how this can be a 4* hotel. Everytime we needed something, we would be left queuing at the reception desk for at least 15 mins (usually listening to others complaining about their rooms).
The Hotels Location is amazing, walking distance to most of the attractions. The hotel is very old, and well i guess could use some renovation. The staff are friendly. The only problem i had was that the rooms were small and the whole hotel is really old. 1. Wifi didn't work in the room I was initially given. 2. The manager was not helpful and was completely aggravating to deal with 3. my initial room smelled like the inside of a commercial kitchen due to the fact it was located right above the kitchen and that was the view from my window. 4. "Great Location, Great Value, Great service"
You can't do better in Amsterdam than this. But there is no A/C if it's unusually hot.
Die Port Van Cleve Hotel is great! We stayed for two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfy! The front desk people were helpful and friendly. "The Port Van Cleve"
The Port Van Cleve is a nice Hotel. Very well placed. The Dam square at about 50 meters, the Magna plaza next to it, the Central Station at about 15 minutes walk, the Red Light District at 5 minutes walk, indeed very well placed. "Great location that's about it."
Great location for all the action. Staff was friendly and helpful but some were kind of seedy. Gave us a room in the core of the hotel away from the noisy exterior parts. Forgot I stayed here 7 years ago and it hasn't gotten any better. Same nik naks in the lobby. Same scary elevator. Same gloomy interior. Breakfast was not included and clerk insisted […] that $18 US was a great price. Found it strange when he made a copy of my plane reservations. Also strange that they charged us a city tax on checkout (even though room was paid in full)just like last time. Didn't turn on all the lights in room out of fear of what I might see. "Convenient Location"
This was the first hotel we stayed at on our 7 country/ 3.5 week tour of Europe. The location of this hotel is amazing. You can walk to almost all of the major tourist sites including the Anne Frank House, the Red Light District, the Central Train Station and it is directly across the street from Dam Square (I would recommend doing a one-day hop-on-hop-off […] tour to hit the few remaining sites that are a little too far to walk to, like the Van Gogh museum). The outside of the hotel is beautiful, but the inside is a little shabby. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, but dim, with bits of peeling wallpaper and itty bitty windows. Don't be surprised by the split level rooms (the bed and tv etc are four steps down from the bathroom and door). Overall, I would stay here again simply because the staff was very pleasant and helpful (they printed out maps for everything we needed, explained how to use the public transit and gave great directions) and the location was very central. If you aren't carrying too much baggage, you can easily walk from the central train station to this hotel. It is about a 20 minute ride from the airport (we took a shuttle for about 14 euro each, but were later told that the tram is very easy to use from the airport). Leia mais

"DIE PORT van Cleve Reveiw"
The room was larger than any that I stayed in during a trip to multiple cities in Europe. Not large by American standards but not tiny. The location was within easy walking distance of the train station and the tram stopped right in front of the hotel.

The tram stops at the front door of the hotel. This means you can get to any part of the city in a matter of minutes with the help of a tram map. The hotel offers a nice buffet breakfast. "Very nice"
I was satisfied with Van Cleve; room was typical european central city room (beds fit in the room, small desk, not crowded but not large) and the staff was strikingly pleasant. of course no ice or fridge. Weekday price was good, weekend price was high.

The location is very convenient to all tourist destinations. Our room was very small, but perfectly adequate. Staff is friendly, but they often seem a little confused, and they gave us erroneous directions to a restaurant that should have been easy.

We walked in as the maid services was taking a bath towell, and wiping the glasses on the desk with it. I asked him if that was they always did, not put out clean glasses, he said yes. I looked around the cleaning room, no evidence of clean glasses any where. I wonder how many people drank out of the cup before us? I almost threw up when I saw that. Also […] the restrauant, if you go there, the service is terrible, you will see there usually only 2 or 3 people in there at any one time. Looks very nice. This hotel is in a great location in the center of Amsterdam. You can walk almost everywhere, or jump on a trolley in front of the hotel. The room was very tight. We had 2 twin beds, but not much space to walk around or put the suitcases on the floor, and there was little closet space. The bathroom was excellent, clean and spacious. "Best deal in town"
All in all, you just cannot beat the price for the hotel's quality and location. 4 min walk to the train station, 10 min with luggage (2 suitcases, 1 carry-on, and a laptop bag). The hotel is only connected to the Magna Plaza (Mall), and when you walk outside, you are looking at the back of the Royal Palace, so you're literally a 30 second walk from […] Dam Square. Their breakfast buffet is excellent and even though most rooms do not include breakfast, they do have vouchers available for guests that allows a discounted from of 12.50e (down from 19.50e), for your entire stay if you'd like. "Great location. Questionable hotel"
This hotel is in an old Heineken brewery and is a nice building, however the hotel itself could use some updating. We arrived early evening and were given what we thought to be a dump of room. The room had a moldy smell, the window would'nt stay open unless you put a stick in the frame, and was beyond small. When we kindly asked the staff to move us […] to another room given the findings of our original room and the first front desk person refused to move us stating "they're all booked", and when i mentioned that this room was'nt acceptable another staff person kindly relocated us to a larger and better smelling room. "Great location"
The Die Port van Cleve Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam. The location was perfect and the staff was very accomodating when an issue arose with our room. The only downside was the size of the room but that is typical for the Amsterdam area. I would highly suggest this hotel.
"4 star rating is meaningless"
My first room was (almost) comically uncomfortable. Small, noisy, dimly lit (especially in bathroom), and poorly ventilated. The one window that could ventilate was a couple of feet from a brick wall and required that I stand on the desk to open it. It had defective hardware and required so much force to open and shut that several times I almost fell. […] At my request, the hotel moved me to a different room (without me asking what was wrong). This had a slightly more comfortable living area, but the toilet paper roll was mounted shoulder height and in such a tight space as to require one to do acrobatics in order to use the facility. "I got what I paid For."
I believe I paid the right price for the hotel, which was lower than what it usually charges. The hotel is really a 3 star. However it is a great location.

This hotel was way more than we expected. It is located on the border of Dam Square with so many things to do in the area as this is a popular square. Also you can see the train station from the hotel so you could actually walk to your hotel from the train. The room was very roomy, flat screen tv, wi-fi free access, and they offer room service. The […] only things I didn't like were the window, there was one window and it was very small kind of like an attic room so there was not much light even with the lamps provided, and the drain in the shower was slow and I hate standing in bath water while you shower. i have stayed in this hotel a few times now and so i must like it! its best features are its location and the staff are friendly. rooms are of a good standard and if there is a problem it is they are ,in my experience, a little smaller than other 4 star hotels.but not too small as to be a problem. the rooms have all the usual facilities -the best features […] being a very good bathroom and an exellent tv with access to radio/music/internet. rooms are clean however there is sometimes a little traffic noise from the road alongside the hotel. having said that,it wasnt a problem for me.the only small improvement i would like to see is storage for clothing. the wardrobe (with safe) is fine but there is no other storage for clothing in the room and so its the suitcase that is the home for some of your clothing. overall, its a good hotel. especialy if you get a good deal. i noticed a discount if 4 nigts were booked and with this in mind the hotel was very good value for money. "Ridiculously small room"
Promising since its location was excellent, 4* hotel with a nice looking reception. Unfortunately, the room was absolutely tiny. There were also only about five small lamp shades in the room, so even with all the lights on it still seemed dark. Average shower with minimum extras (soap/glasses/shampoo). Very disappointed.

this was a nice hotel at a great location but it felt like a really good 2 star then a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in amsterdam before at a cheaper price and it was a 3 star hotel which was great!

"Very Disappointed"
Needless to say I was very disappointed with this hotel. I had read some good reviews and thought it would be a nice 4* hotel but this was definitely not the case. We arrived at around 5.30pm to a very nice member of staff, the lobby looked beautiful and a nice staircase. We were given a keycard for room 309 so we got in the lift and went to the 3rd […] floor and found the room. The room was so small I couldn't believe it. There was just enough room to walk around the twin beds; there was a table and 1 chair shoved in the corner but not comfortable to sit at because it was squeezed in between a dressing table and 1 of the beds. The wardrobe was literally 1/4 the size of an average wardrobe. It could just about fit 5 wooden hangers. The TV was ok, not too big but a nice plasma on the wall. The bathroom was very small also; the shower was in the very tiny bath, I didn't mind using it but the shower curtain was absolutely disgusting so I refused to pull that across. Also, for paying for a 4* hotel you get no toiletries.. although there is some soap stuck to the wall. I was really not impressed with this hotel at all. I booked this hotel to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and I was very disappointed.. I didn't mind the room as we were rarely in it but for the price I paid I would have expected a lot more.. this is an average 3* hotel - infact I have stayed in nicer 3* hotels. "Wonderful stay"
Our two week visit in Europe was to end in Amsterdam and I decided to stay in a little nicer room so I booked a suite with a King bed in the Die port Van Cleve. This booking gave us a room we could not believe. We were on the top floor in a corner room with views that were unbelievable. The room was very spacious with seating for 6 in the sitting area […] and a table with 6 chairs for dining. The bed was in a spacious area to the side almost not noticed from the living area. Although expensive the room seemed a bargain for the price. The location could not have been better, on the tram line and near central station you could get everywhere easily including museums, the flower market, canal tours, etc. We would definitely stay again. Staff and room - very nice. No problems at all. Very clean, and bathroom is well lit and large, w/nice deep tub. Free internet connection in room. Location is great. Walk from Central Station or take a cab for a short ride if you have allot of luggage.

This hotel was a bit below my expectations. The room was extremely small and the bathroom smelled like sewage. Even worse, the light seems to have some sort of timer on it, so don't be surprised if all of a sudden your shower goes dark! "Amsterdam was brilliant"
Good looking hotel right in the centre of all you would want to see and do in Amsterdam.The hotel staff were efficient and informative and always ready to help.On the downside there is alot of noise at night from trams,traffic and people.The room was small with no opening window or Air/con,so very stuffy on warm June nights.Seems too highly rated as […] a 4*,has not got the facilities of other similar rated hotels.Our friends had a room to the back of hotel,which had an opening window but was very noisey at night.
