Hampton Inn Burlington - Colchester

The hotel was awesome, very clean, very welcoming, and I loved the hotel lobby - cute and friendly. Tea and coffee are always available, and so are the nightly warm cookies. The only minor problem I felt was that there was no space in the lobby to eat the warm, delicious complimentary breakfast, because the amount of tables in the lobby was not enough. […] But I just took the food back to my room, so it was okay. Also, since the hotel is in Colchester, you absolutely need a car to get to downtown Burlington, though I'm sure you can find transportation there. Leia mais

friendly, great breakfast

Room smelled funny and was quite out-dated. Even though they are pet-friendly, you are required to stay with you pet at all times, which kind of defeats the purpose of bringing your pet if you planned on leaving the hotel for anyhting. I won't return.

As usual this chain delivers and we love them. Rooms are huge and free breakfasts are great. However we had to change rooms as they gave us the one backing on to the dining area and as breakfasts start at 6am it was a no no. Changed it no bother but stay spoiled bt hordes of children age 10 ish running around from pool to elevator and screaming at the […] top of their voices. Can't beat this place for location - right off 89 in Colchester. The rate was reasonable and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful and breakfast very good. My daughter loved the make-your-own waffles. Pool was a little murkey but hey, what do you expect at a hotel pool? I'm sure they have to sanitize the crap out of it.

Friend and nice staff, good location with Costco just behind the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast are sumptuous and the cookies and milk at night are great!!!

Excellent hotel! Very consistent. Nice breakfast, cozy, well appointed room. Pool and hot tub are well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. Will always stay at a Hampton Inn if possible.

The staff made feel welcome despite the busyness of the place. My wife and I stayed during a busy weekend teens were looking at colleges. When the desk clerk wasn't helping anyone at the moment, she made sure we found a place to eat in town. The hotel is on a busy two lane road that leads to a cinemas and Costco.

Although there were good aspects of the Hampton Inn in Colchester, Vt., I had a major problem in my room during my first nights stay, and I did not feel it was adequately responded to. There was a flood in my bathroom, caused by a faucet that was not turned off in the bathroom in the room above mine. It woke me up at 2am, at which time I notified the […] front desk. They informed me maintenance would not be able to check it out until 3:30. They offered me to switch rooms, but I did not want to wake my two sleeping children. I remained awake, and checked in with the front desk several more times, thinking that the longer they wait, the more damage there would be to their building, but they did nothing. In the morning, the water was still coming in, I could not use the toilet without getting soaked! I did change rooms, but I was exhausted from no sleep, and frustrated at the attitude of the front desk person during the night and in the morning. I did speak with the maintenance person the next day, and he apologized, the first person to do so!!! When checking out, the manager was not yet there, I had to take my daughter to a gymnastics competition (the reason for our trip) and could not stay. The woman at the desk said the manager would get back to me about offering a complimentary stay for another night, but that has not happened, once again disappointing me. Given that the hotel has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy, I would have thought they would have been more open to offering me a free night, but they weren't. I am disappointed, especially because it is a location that I know I will be back to, and would have liked to stay there again. I am glad that I am having an opportunity to share this story. This is our second time staying here and it was as wonderful as the first time. Staff was very friendly and everything was at our fingertips. The pool and hot tub were amazing, staff was quck to bring new towels in pool area, the upgrate to bigger towels in the pool were amazing! Breakfast was great. I've never really had a bad experience with Hampton Inn, perhaps I've been lucky. The worst thing about this one was that the heating unit was rather old and noisy. The rest of the room was in top shape. The walls aren't the thickest so it may be possible to hear noise if you have loud neighbors. This hotel is exceedingly clean and comfortable. The staff too is great. There was a problem with one of the guest computers, and the attendant allowed me to use the computer in the hotel office to print my boarding passes for my flight the next morning. I would stay here anytime I had a flight out of BTV.

well located and convenient to airport. generally clean and staff was helpful. the included hot breakfast was a nice plus.

This was the largest Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. Not that it is a bad thing, I just didn't realize they made Hampton Inns this large. Pretty standard Hampton, but that is what we were looking for. Room was clean and just what we needed, and had a fridge which was nice. Great service, easy access to highway, downtown, and everything you need. Only complaint was little details in the room. Tube televisions (seems antiquated these days), faucet in my bathroom didn't work very well, water pressure was pretty measly, some of the bulbs were out in the bathroom (and the rest were horrible fluorescents). I was a little worried about the Hampton Inn in December (!) when I discovered it was just about the only hotel in the area that still had an available room for the May graduation at UVM. My concerns proved unfounded. The room was comfortable and quiet and the shuttle driver who picked us up at the airport was courteous. The breakfast wan't fancy, but […] it was more than adequate and included hot food. The common room in the lobby was well-appointed. My only quibble was that the shuttle into downtown Burlington we were told about during the drive in from the airport was suspended for all of graduation weekend. I suspect it was because the demand was just too great and the hotel didn't want people to rely on a service it couldn't consistently provide. A cab ride was just $10 though. The best route is through Winooski rather than on I-89, which is a bit longer. Leia mais

The hotel is convenient to Burlington, an easy 10 minutes from Main Street. The room was clean and in excellent condition. Breakfast was very satisfying in that one choose from a wide variety of offerings, omelet, cereal, breads, etc. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I'll be staying here again in the very near future.
