Only issue I ran in too is at checkout. I used this site to book the reservation and for some reason this confused the clerk at check out and she charged me again for the 2 night stay. Our stay was brief, but pleasant. Older hotel, updated and clean. Ours was a good sized room - huge walk-in closet! Plenty to do in the area - shopping, restaurants, other activities. Will probably stay there again! (near DePaul and Wrigley)

Within walking distance to Wrigley. In an area where you can shop and eat. Very nice Hotel Staff and valet parking. Small but comfortable rooms. Only downside was no fridge...definitely would recommend this hotel.

Very clean and modern...pleasant staff and a nice breakfast buffet. I find it difficult at times to find a reasonably priced CLEAN hotel in Chicago...this one fits the bill on both counts! The location is within walking distance of Wrigley Field and great Clark St. eateries and shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Walking distance to Wrigley. Great neighborhood for shopping and dinning. 20-30 mins. drive to airport. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Fun neighbourhood, very professional staff, clean & modern room. My only gripe would be the road noise from the adjacent thoroughfare, but that's to be expected when the hotel is directly adjacent. I'm entirely satisfied and would stay there again.

I got more than what I pay

The air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off.

We went for a Cubs game and this was a great hotel to stay in, as Wrigley field is only a mile away. It is also convenient for anything in the downtown area, as it is all a short cab ride away. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great.

Hotel staff were awesome, super friendly, helpful, and engaging. cheapest valet parking rates for the Chicago area - out of all the hotels i looked at($22). Good continental breakfast, was available until 11 am even! Great, great, great location. We used the bus to go to a few places and never had a problem. Super easy and quick. Had we gone downtown […] this trip the Red El was located close by for an easy trip in the city. Good food in the area too: Also, Yummy Yummy Buffet on Broadway ( i think), had *the* most amazing Sweet & sour chicken I've ever had, an great selection of Bubble Teas. We met a friend for Sushi at Great Tea Japanese one day (easy 15 min) and was cheap & very good. Also, starbucks, Panera, and Walgreens were right across the street. If you have the time - head up to Andersonville and checkout the Andersonville Galleria and Kopi Cafe. Only downfall to the hotel: room a bit small. I was ok with this, my wife not. However, it is Chicago, reasonably priced, and an older building. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again! Ler mais

Very nice hotel with reasonable rates for a Chicago hotel. We walked to Wrigley for the game. Great city experience. Valet parking worked well here.

The Days inn in Chicago Diversey hotel staff was friendly, and happy to go out of their way to make our stay perfect. The only downside was that as we left very early in the morning, there was no hot water in the shower. We could get get hot water in the tub, but not to come up through the shower. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Expected less because of the age of the hotel, but loved the stay and will probably stay again when in the neighborhood. Walk outside and you are in the middle of an exciting area with restaurants and bars. Plenty of shopping too.

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Chicago on an extremely tight budget so we had pretty low standards for our room. But the hotel was everything we needed and more! Nice lobby, the room was very modern and clean, and VERY helpful and extremely polite workers. The room was small but we were rarely there anyway. The A/C was REALLY loud but it was wonderful […] how fast is worked. Bathroom was nice and spacious, which I didn't expect. Cute stores and restaurants all around us, adorable area of town! We had to walk 4 blocks to our main buss route and 5 blocks to our main train station, which isn't far at all in my opinion. It was perfect! Our view was horrible but almost humorous because we were looking at a brick wall only 2 feet away. But overall it was great! If you're a first timer to Chicago, the staff is extremely helpful. It was a perfect area and we had a very great experience. I will definitely stay at Days Inn again! One thing I wish we had was a fridge or room service, but my complaints are extremely minor. The hotel staff were amazing! So polite, friendly, and helpful. But the room was incredibly noisey. We could hear ALL the traffic on the street and even the people talking in the room next door and across the hall. Not very insulated but a nice hotel overall. The ear plugs they provide you with help!

A perfect location for going to a Cubs game. The hotel staff is great. Will be back.

For us, this was an ideal setting. The hotel was great, the room was fine. Just the two of us, so we did not need the Taj Mahal. Everything was clean and kept clean daily. The front desk staff, doorman , and the room service were great. We went to the Cubs game and caught the bus right across the street, four museams all by cab(very reasonable and the […] cabbies were very polite and helpful), and the eating and dinning places were superb. We would go back just for the food. The Lake Shore Drive tour was beautiful. We would definitely go back to the Days Inn as everything we wanted was so convenient. Ler mais

Stayed here the night of a cardinals cubs game it was very convenient to walk to wrigley field from the hotel and there was a bunch of bars and places to go, I highly recommend this hotel for anybody that wants to go to a ballgame.

Small hotel entrance, but nice lobby. Hotel rooms are on the upper floors above street-level businesses. Ask for a street-side room if you don't mind street noise. My room faced inward, so no view except mechanicals and the windows of other inward-facing rooms. My room (a single) was very small. I had to pick up my suitcase to get it from one side of […] the bed to the other (no room between the bed and dresser to wheel it). Bathroom was a step up and tiny. The door wouldn't open all the way -- hit the toilet. It looks like noise in the hotel may be an issue (it wasn't for me though) because the rooms come equipped with free ear plugs. Despite the rather claustrophobic size, the room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Also, Hotels.com lists the Days Inn as not providing continental breakfast, but it was included free. It's a busy, decent neighborhood with lots of people on the streets. Security was pretty tight in the hotel, so keep your key handy. You'll need to it get on the elevator and into the stairwell at the first floor. My room had prominently displayed safety tips for travelers, leading me to believe that there are some issues in that regard. Great location for the Nature Center or for daytime walking. About a 15-minute walk to the train, so it was quite convenient. Ler mais

Much better than I expected for a Days Inn. Room was spacious and clean. My first room was very loud even though I asked for a quiet room, but the man at the front desk was very accomodating about moving me up to the 4th floor where it was quieter. Terrific customer service at this hotel.

Great location for me as I had to go work at the Children's Hospital, located less than a mile away. Room was nice and quiet. A/C did not work too well, and when on high would shut off completely after a couple of hours. The good thing is that it was not too hot yet. Front staff was fine. Breakfast was pretty basic. Parking proceedings were cumbersome. […] Those not used to large cities, you may be puzzled. No sign or another for a supposedly self-park option. They only had valet parking. Valet took about 10-15 minutes to hand over the keys. Car was parked outside 5 minutes within my call from the room, but because only 1 valet is on duty, he had to leave (with the keys, of course) before I got down as another patron needed his car. No big deal, but good to know. When I asked about self-parking, I was only offered valet parking. If that is not accurate, maybe it needs to be changed on the site. Overall, this is a good location with Borders' right across the street and a lot of different restaurants. It is not right downtown, but it served the purpose of my visit. I may stay there again. The whole experience was pleasant from check-in to check-out. I would definately would book a stay again. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful.

Had a great time last week during my stay at the Days Inn Chicago. It was within walking distance to the train, music venues and local restaurants. Hotel was pretty clean and the staff was helpful.

Staying in a hotel in Chicago can be a pricey affair, especially if your purpose of stay belongs in between business and pleasure (meaning your company cannot pay for it, and you wouldn't want to splurge on a full priced one). The Days Inn Chicago fit the bill with a competitive price, good rooms, and great location. Some people, especially the ones […] who have already visited the city in the past, will welcome discovering the easternmost part of the Lincoln Park/Lakeview neighborhoods where the hotel is nestled. A short taxi cab ride downtown and the full package is complete. Rooms in this hotel's older building are comfortable, and the staff was really courteous. The only thing I might have had a problem with is the water pressure in the shower, and a slight smell of humidity upon entering my room. If you want a hotel that is not too expensive but wouldn't really want to stay in hostel-like conditions, this is one to choose. Ler mais

Great location at Diversy and Clark (and Broadway). Easy in/out valet service ($22). Small rooms. Creative plumbing choices as a part of the modernization of an older building. One interesting note, they give you ear plugs as a part of the toiletry assortment. In my thousands of nights in hotels/motels I have never seen that. We always stay at this hotel when we come to town for a Cubs game. It's an easy walking distance to Wrigley. It's nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a nice, clean, affordable place to stay, it's perfect.

I was going to book an expensive hotel as I was going all out for the two days that I stayed. I am very gald that I booked this hotel. the staff was helpful, the room was big, and you could use the internet for free (I've always had to pay,or go without. at hotels) Breakfast was your usual hotel breakfast, but they had it set up to where you had cute […] tables with flowers. The Days Inn Chicago was not terribly fancy, but it satisfied our needs for a reasonably priced room in a pricey area. I would advise you to do valet parking since there's no parking anywhere in that area. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly and took care of anything we asked for. The room was small, but for two people it was sufficient. […] There just wasn't any extra/wasted space. The doors were loud as people came and went, but we were among the later arrivals at night so we did more bothering of others than being bothered ourselves. Noise must be a common problem because there was a set of complimentary ear plugs in the bathroom. Can't vouch for the breakfast since we ate outside the hotel after checkout. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a no frills fairly inexpensive room for one or two people. Ler mais

Location was okay, but the noise factor was unacceptable. Not from the exterior, but from the staff in the hallways. Loud walkie talkies at top volume crackling all day, ancient vacuum cleaners that sound like jet planes. Seriously. That and a bed like concrete. No thanks. I guess you get what you pay for.

We stayed one night in Lincoln Park and this place suited our needs perfectly. We were just looking for an affordable place in a convenient location, nothing fancy. Even valet was relatively inexpensive. Staff was friendly.

We chose this hotel because of it's location in Lincoln Park. It was convenient and the staff were very nice. The room was a little small and our full size bed was too small. If I go again, I'll be sure and get a room with a queen size bed.

The rooms were nice and big, very clean and had all the amenities we expected. My sister stayed in a room next to us, which the hotel staff arranged with a phone call from us. The beds were comfortable. It was a very convenient location to downtown and my sister's house in Old Irving Park. We came for a funeral and felt very relaxed in the hotel. The […] breakfast, although it was mostly carbs, was fresh and tasty. The waffle maker wasn't working very well, but the grapefruit juice was great! Ler mais

picked this hotel cause it was a short drive to the MidTown Tennis Center. the room i picked was small but what i expected (needs a TV upgrade). all services were top notched. even with the parking charge will stay here again.

The first room lacked working heat. Moved for the second night and the heat was working marginally. The room, especially the seond room, was particularly small. We were told that the better rooms were not available to us because we went through a third party to book the room.
