We were impressed with the Omni at the price point in Austin. The rooms were nice and the roof top pool exceeded our expectations. We've stayed at the Hilton in Austin and it was not as nice. They are both nice hotels but Omni gets my vote based on value and service.

So convenient, great location, lovely facility. Not a lot of charm or anything unique but our room was quiet and comfortable and the staff was helpful. We liked that you could get your car in and out without a valet. We would stay there again and recommend it to others who want to be downtown in Austin.

The price of the self-parking is a rip off. The room was really very small.

Fantastic from start to finish

I was "upgraded to a suite on the private 15th floor. I thought it would be great. It wasn't. The carpets were old and stained from elevator to the room and throughout. It smelled like it had been abandoned. The suites kitchen had very old cabinets and appliances. The bathroom was gross, as was the bedroom. The tv stand was a foot from the wall and […] in the way. The hotel was nice but the room we stayed in looked a little shabby. I liked the rooftop heated pool but the jacuzzi was broken when we went. The location was great.

The hotel staff was extremely accomodating. Unfortunately while showering the shower head fell off. Upon alerting the front desk it was repaired before I returned from dinner. Extremely comfortable bedding as well as roomy bathroom!

In the center of downtown and close to six street and capitol bldg. I love the location and the price.However I couldn't overlook couple of items that should have been taken care of in a hotel of this stature. Coffee table had glass/cup ring from previous guest and the floor lamp wasn't working. Would definitely recommend though!

I have stayed at this hotel for about the last 4 tailgating seasons. We have been very pleased with service and the rooms are pretty nice until this stay. The servcie was still good but the room was awful! It was in disrepair, didn't seem clean, bathroom was tiny, tub hard to get into, etc. I was so disappointed that being such a regular guest that […] they would put us in a room like this. If we had not stayed there before, we would not go back. Luckily for the Omni, we have stayed there and will go back but if we get a room like that again we will be back at the Driskill in downtown at a higher price. Ler mais

I can't say enough about the staff at the Omni. The concierge was extremely helpful with restaurant and music suggestions. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Austin.

When my room key wasn't working the front desk insisted on sending a bellman up with me to make sure the new key worked. When the concierge saw me standing in front of the gift shop longing for it to open he used his master key and sold me the Tylenol himself. Room service was quick, tasty, and courteous. Let me begin by explaining the goal of the weekend. It was my 11-11-11 birthday, so 7 of my friends and I were going to Austin as we heard it has some of the best live music bars in the country. The location cannot be beat as its less than 2 blocks away from 6th, the heart of it all. The concierge was very personable and tried to even learn some of […] our names. Its a comfortable walking distance from the convention center and the "bat" bridge (about 8-10 blocks each) and Texas Longhorn's stadium (about 10 blocks). The rooms were very clean and spacious with all the amenities you would expect from a nice hotel like the Omni. I would say the only downsides to our stay was the hot tub was broken and the noise from 6th can be heard but didn't bug a semi-light sleeper like me. If noise does bug you, however, you can sacrifice the view for a quieter "inside" room. Also it was fairly pricey, but the service is worth it. I would stay there again? Easily. Great food and bar. Close to 6th street and downtown, with lots of things to do and places to eat. We went for a weekend getaway and didn't want to leave. Will definitely stay again when we are looking for a quiet, kid-free weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Omni Austin. it is very convenient to all of downtown Austin. if you like to walk, you can even walk to the south end of the UT campus (museums there), or walk to Town Lake which has a great walking trail. We did not use any of the restaurants in the hotel because we like to explore, so no information there. The concierge […] obtained a reservation for us at a wonderful sushi restaurant & asked for us to be seated with a specific waiter- who provided amazing service. That was a nice extra touch. My only complaint is that I needed bath/shower gel, and it was not provided or even available by calling front desk or concierge. (Great excuse to go shopping...)The tub was also very slow to drain. empty wash machine room, waste of space; large walk-in closet, took away from room space.

For the price I was hoping for updated rooms, but the hotel was totally 90s and not in a good way. Plus no full length mirror, no icemaker anywhere (they brought us ice, but having to call everytime sucks), and the hot tub wasn't working. Service was good and the location cannot be beat

We requested a wake-up call so we could catch our flight......but no call! (Thankfully, my phone worked as a back-up.)

I was there for a conference, and was impressed with the service from the front desk, concierge, and valet. The room was clean and the bed comforable. The only (very minor) issue was the window shape/angle prevented me from getting the room nice and dark without propping the chair against it. I'm a light sleeper, so at 5:45 AM both days, I was awakened […] by a couple doors opening/closing, perhaps in preparation for breakfast. Overall, a great stay. Ler mais

Walk to Longhorns stadium, 6th St, Capitol, and everything else downtown. Comfortable beds, great views and fast elevators! Concierge services were outstanding.

Checked in at the same time as a colleague who booked via their web site - i got a 3rd floor interior handicap access room with a shower so loud and shaky I felt like i was showering in a waterpik/jackhammer. My colleague got a 13th floor executive suite. Great location but weird set up not worthy of Omni prices. Stay at the Driskill if you can.

The neighbourhood is good, just a couple of blocks from busy 6th street. Lobby is nice and room was spacious enough, BUT: 1) radio in room did not work. 2) it is very dark in the shower (no lights and very dark curtains). 3) pillow cases were so old that they felt like sandpaper on my face. 4) pillows were awful. 5) no trash bins in women's lobby bathroom […] for disposal of feminine products. 5) coffee maker available, but no outlet nearby to plug it in! I realize I booked last minute, but given what I paid for a room with a king sized bed, I was disappointed with the overall size. There also wasn't an ice machine on my floor, which meant calling and waiting for concierge to bring some up. Not the worst thing in the world, but still a nuisance.

Very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. Great service. Ate at the hotel restruant several times and was pretty good for dinner and awesome for breakfast! We have two toddlers, not knowing anything about Austin I booked this hotel. The hotel is great and was wonderful to the kids. However, we did not find downtown Austin to be very kid- frie […] ndly. Okay - I LOVED the service here. Really friendly and felt like a five star hotel. There were two problems which prevent me from recommending this to my tech SXSW pals: 1) charging for WIFI. in this day and age, ridiculous. period. totally unacceptable. make it easy on people, make them feel like they have a high tech perk, welcome the SF/NYC/LA crowd […] with easy free services. Put the wifi cost in the bill if you want, but don't charge extra and make it a hassle. This alone is why I will not rebook, because it's obnoxious. Seriously! 2) if someone (aka my hotel roommate) loses her key but can identify the thing in her room and provide ID, just give her a new key already. Don't make a customer feel like they have to prove they aren't a criminal just to use their room - it's embarrassing them for losing their key. This process should be refined to be more customer friendly. Ler mais

Found a bedbug on my 2nd of 3 nights there. They did comp me for my room/expenses and dry cleaned a few items, HOWEVER they also told me they were going to close down my floor to ensure there was no other infestation. But, when I went back later that day to pick up my dry cleaning, the people at the front desk checking in people had no knowledge of […] he bedbug issue nor the fact that the floor was supposed to have been shut down when I mentioned it. Don't take a risk and be the next person in my old room!!! Ler mais

I had an excellent stay - the room was neat, clean, and spacious. It is near the 6th Street venue we went to.

Stayed here with a group of guys for a Bachelor party. Expensive, but top notch service and quality. Pool was small but rooftop view was awesome. Great location and convenient to bars and restaurants.

I loved that when I checked in that I received great customer service. However, was very disappointed by the room I stayed in. I thought being on the executive floors where the rooms have their own doorbells was a great thing. I was wrong. The rooms looked like the furniture was pieced together. The bathroom was very, very small. The closet was large, […] but seemed very out of place and the overall feel of the room just seemed like they were planning a remodel. I was even more displeased when I went to a "normal" non executive floor room and found it to be quite charming, with new furniture, a great bathroom and decor. My opinion is if I am going to be on an executive floor, can I at least have a decent bathroom and matching furniture in the room. Ler mais

This is my new favorite place to stay. Close to absolutely everything...incredibly friendly staff...very nice rooms. Will be back...highly recommended

The customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very posh and sophisticated. Made for a wonderful romantic get a way weekend!

A hotel in great condition, well kept, and super convenient to UT and Sixth St. Couldn't ask for a better hotel. Will definitely be staying here again next time I come to Austin to hang out on Sixth St or go to a Longhorn game.

The service at The Omni was above all others. I was impressed with their cheerfulness, professionalism, and quick responses to our requests. Our room was beyond comfortable and in the perfect location for the first college football weekend of the season. I will most certainly return to The Omni for my next visit in the spring.

We stayed over the holiday weekend and there was a big footbal game in town as well so things were pretty busy. The staff was friendly, responsive and everyone we enountered seemed to happy and enjoying their job (if they didn't they were very fine actors). The room was clean and very comfortable. The roof top pool was a lot of fun, but if you don't […] like to parrty I receommend staying away...this is not a quiet take a nap by the pool kind of place. I would absolutely stay here again. We had a HORRIBLE experience with the hotel staff. We came back at 2.30am from 6th street, and as soon as we walked into the room, the hotel GM, manager, and Austin Police harassed us claiming we were making too much noise from noise complaints, when we literally had just walked in. Not only that, the hotel general manager also was yelling at us to […] stay in our room and that we were not free to go in and out of our room whenever we please. I would not recommend this hotel based on their rude and harassing service. If you want to go out, and then come back to this hotel, expect them to harass you. The Omni is perfectly situated for downtown dining and after-hours celebrating - all within walking distance. The hotel staff is pleasant and accommodating. We will stay again!
