Hotel muito bem localizado, fica em frente da estação Centraal e realmente perto de tudo, fizemos tudo a pé. Não tem café da manhã, mas na redondeza tem vários locais para comer. O quarto e a cama são muito pequenos, mas o banheiro tem um tamanho bom.

O Hotel é novo e fica numa região próxima a alguns pontos turisticos como Anne Frank e Praça Dam. O quarto é normal com uma boa cama e bem limpo, o banheiro é todo de vidro, parece um aquário o que é desconfortável para uma viajem a 2, pois não possui trava, se escuta tudo e boa parte do vidro não é fosca. O hotel esta ligado com o restaurante art dulac café, um lugar com staff péssimo, onde não possue cardápio em ingles. Um dos serviços qe hotel oferece é uma taxa fixa de táxi onde você paga na recepção do hotel e ele te da um cartão que você tem que apresentar ao táxista e pode usar o táxi para ir para o aeroporto, o serviço é péssimo o taxista não queria nos levar pois recusamos a pagar extras por causa das malas, o que o hotel informou que já estava fechado no valor, ele não sabia que já estava pago, uma confusão. Não USE esse serviço.

Ótimo hotel, próximo do aeroporto, tem ônibus com diversos horários para o aeroporto, do aeroporto é possível chegar ao centro de trem. No geral foi um ótimo hotel, as janelas são isoladas e vc não houve o barulho do aeroporto. Na região do hotel não há nada, por isso vc sempre terá a necessidade de ir até o aeroporto.

Check in was perfect. Freindly and funny staff. Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. For such a central location, the rooms were fairly quiet. Could not have asked for more with a location like this.

The location is great and the rooms are comfortable. The staff wasn't very helpful and not flexible about times at all. The breakfast is expensive so make sure you ask the price before hand.

this hotel was everything i wished for , kind and curtious staff , spacious comfy rooms , a great location on dam square ideal for shopping and site seeing , 5 mins walk to the red light area with its coffee shops bars and other attractions, i will be going back again soon

"Good Location, sort of..."
This is a good hotel in a good location, unless you drove. We rented a car and drove to Amsterdam. This hotel has no parking at all and has no road access meaning you can't pull up in front even to unload your bags. If you arrive by taxi, train or bus, this is in a great location to walk to everything. We had to park our rental car in the public lot […] just one block away. The rate of 50 Euros per night for parking was rediculous. 200 Euros later on parking alone, I would not drive here again. The rooms are basic but provided everything we needed. "Nice hotel in a great location"
Overall the hotel was great. The location was extremely convenient and the staff friendly. The one downside I would say is that they charged 12.50 Euros per day for internet access - fairly tacky considering the hotel wasn't that cheap. Also the business center computers were fairly slow and locked up quite often. I had business to tend to while I was […] in town and had no choice but to pay for the wireless in the room. I always thought the Swissotel was a top end chain but this hotel is more or less a good 3 star. Service was efficient on the front desk and early check in given. Hotel room was small, but normal for European cities. Good location, walking distance from main train station. My main gripe was with the internet which wroked sporadically during the 2 days […] I was there, but basically was useless for my business needs, which made the stay somewhat frustrating. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our stay in Amsterdam. The staff was enthusiastic and very kind. The room was very clean and neat. There was not a whole lot of space in the actual room but all of the things that come along with this hotel make up for that. You are directly in the center of all the important things to see. My only other Swissotel experience was in Osaka, which was excellent in terms of relative luxury, size, etc. Maybe its just the normal difference between Asia and Europe (European hotel rooms in general being smaller, etc) but the Swissotel Amsterdam didn't quite live up to what I expected based on the Nankai (Osaka) property. Compared to other Swissotels I would say this one was below average but in general Amsterdam hotels are older and not quite as clean and shiny as newer suburban or more recently built hotels. It is all about location. Whether you are in Amsterdam for business or on holiday, this Hotel is located ideally - close to tourist attractions (museums, boat rides, flower market........to name just a few). Clean, comfortable hotel with fantastic service. The staff are very friendly and quick to make reservations or offer advice. The location is best in town - 10 minute walk maximum to any sites you may be interested in, and we had no issues with noise level on the street or from other guests in the hotel. Walking distance from station and next to Damm Sq. - front desk was friendly - but lobby is small, elevator is small and while room was clean, bed comfortable, I got a room with a window overlooking the side alley - you could almost touch the building on the other side - and there was some noise in the alley at night ... great location. Access to internet and exercise room were excellent. Front desk employees were very pleasant and allowed for early check-in. Room was a little small but that was expected in AMS.

This hotel is located in Dam Square, impossible to get to by car if your driving. It was way too busy a location for us, like walking out into Time Square. At night it was load and roudy mostly with a younger crowd. My rooom was so load from the street activity that I had to sleep with air plugs which still couldn't block the yelling from the streets […] throughout the entire night. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, the red light district, Dam square, lots of restaurants. Very thin walls, could hear everything from adjacent rooms. Need better sounds proofing. Small rooms for the price.

The hotel has a fine central location close to most everything in the center city. Reception is small and desk personnel do everything. They were always quick to offer assistance and were the best aspect of the hotel. This property is a bit plain for a Swissotel but the rooms were comfortable, well equipped and quiet which was surprising given the location. Stayed here for 3 nights recently. Scores very highly for location - 5 min walk from Central Station, close to shops, bars etc. & far enough away from red light district. Approx 15 walk to some of the main sights (Van Gogh museum, Ann Frank House etc.). Hotel room was a good size which I hear is not always the case in Amsterdam but room we got was at […] side of hotel & while nice & quiet, got very little natural light. A great place to stay while in Amsterdam. Last time there they gave me a mini-suite on the top floor with high ceilings overlooking Dam Square. Couldn't have asked for better, definitely recommend.

"Rooms vary a lot"
I got a basic 'discounted' room. On the first night, it was a cramped room facing a tiny interior ventilation space and brick walls - very claustrophobic. However I asked about changing rooms, and after that first night, for the same rate, they moved me to a corner room that was much larger and had views of a small pedestrian street, which was much […] better. It pays to ask for details about the room you will get. Also, as I suppose is common in Europe, I asked for and was supposed to get a 'king bed' room, but both the rooms I had were simply two twin beds pushed together - obviously this is not the same as a single king bed because you can fall through the division between the beds! "Very nice hotel, very central, somewhat noisy area"
Everything about the hotel is great in terms of comfort, service, proximity to city center, fitness center, etc... if you prefer a quieter area, I would recommend hotels further from the center near the Rijks Museum, or outer canal area, etc...

I have stayed at many different hotels in Amsterdam in the past thirty years. From youth hostels to four star properties I must admit that the Swiss Hotel in one of the best. Excellent staff. I would splurge and get the executive suite for the added room. The only downside is that breakfast is not included.

The hotel was convenient to the train station. A short, easy walk. The restaurant downstairs was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The free computer and internet was wonderful. The location for exploring Amsterdam's many neighborhoods was perfect. We'd stay there again.

I was initially given a smallish room with a window facing very noisy construction work outside, but I asked to be moved to another room and the staff was super helpful and led me on a tour of available rooms to pick the one I liked best.
