Wyndham Garden San Diego Near SeaWorld - San Diego

We sound the hotel to be very comfortable if somewhat old - had a rollaway with no charge - and walked to the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour in about 5 minutes....Staff was very gracious and helpful....the DuPar restaurant was on the grounds and had good food, good service and reasonable prices ... Would definitely stay there again....

wall paper coming off the bathroom wall. plastic drop in tub to fix the old tub, felt spongy, drop of paint on tub. fair size room with two queen beds.

Right across the the street from Phils BBQ eat there very close to Sea World

Hotel is conveniently close to Seaworld and other amenities. Was able to check in early, which was perfect, after arriving earlier than expected from a very long trip. Would stay here again, if price stays the same.

The only down fall that we had was that they did not have a continental breakfast. There is a 24 hour restaurant at the hotel and the food was made fresh to order. They also offer a taxi service for a fee.

I had a blast staying in San Diego and it had a lot to do with the Wyndham Garden in San Diego. Our room was clean and presentable the pool and hot tub close late and the pub next to the pool was very great. Everything is a short distance away.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was convenient to all and we were very satisfied with the property for the rate we paid. I would recommend this hotel to future guests.

Clearly this is a standard Motel. The lobby is nice, but you don't sleep there. The room for 4 had only 1 towel, 1 wash cloth and not enough soap and shampoo. We had to ask for more. The area is OK, if you want to be surrounded by gentlemen clubs and adult related venues. Overall it was OK, but if you are looking for a hotel, keep looking. Great deal for the price. Good, convenient location. Clean! Efficient and helpful staff! I will definitely stay here again.

Quiet,Clean,Comfy...Great for Sports Arena events!

Easy but not quick check in. They only had one person working the front desk and he was tied up on the phone. The room was clean but everytime the room above us flushed the toilet we can hear it through the pipes. There are some transients in the area.

Services is the worst ever seen

The hotel or should I say motel was ok as far as location is concerned... But the room, though oriented for kids, was rather plain... I honestly expected a little more. It stated it was a kids suite but it was just a bunk bed and kids table with chairs... There were also a couple of holes in the wall that I had to cover up with tissue...

I had a wonderful stay.

I was a bit disappointed because Wyndham Garden's outlook and as well as inside had a feel like a motel to it. The corridor or the elevator weren't clean and non of the vending machines worked. The curtains had holes in them too! I wouldn't go back again.

Stayed here for three days on a business trip. Right across from the Sorts Arena. You would not expect a hotel this nice to be right across the street but you would be wrong. Very good service, very nice room.

The facility was well beyond our expetations. I booked 4 rooms and all occupants were more than satisfied with the rooms and cleaniness. We found the area to be quiet with lots of food outlets close by(accross the street) meeting our needs for all meals. This hotel should have 2 stars, not 3. Room was basic. Not enough towels for 4 when we checked in. The coffee maker is single cup at a time and only one packet per 4 people which is kind of a joke. Don't judge a hotel by the lobby. Nice lobby: bad rooms. Cramped, broken elevator. Good price on hotels.com. Good location to beach, etc. Purchase wisely.

Good location, close to Seaworld. The area is just okay, home depot is right behind the hotel and some of the areas are kinda shady. I do not like open hotel, meaning Motel look, but it served the purpose. It can get noisy at times, people coming and going all the time.

We stayed three nights at this hotel for a long weekend trip to visit San Diego harbor and the zoo. The rooms were very nice and newly decorated. The setup of the jr suites is a bit odd because of the way they have partitioned the room for privacy for two parties but this is not necessarily negative, just different. The king room was very nice. Hotel […] is very clean, staff helpful and friendly. There is an itty bitty coffee maker in the rooms, a fridge and microwave. Nice tv, heating and ac worked great. Shower was decent too - hate those hotels who use the stingy limiters and you're trying to take a shower basically under a drip. The 8 and 9 bus run right outside the hotel and a 6-7 minute ride will get you to the Old Town trolley station. Another 10 minutes on a trolley will get you to the harbor and downtown and all that good stuff. If you do public transport get the $5 day pass, saves a ton. Going to the zoo took a little longer but nothing awful. If you have a car, this hotel would be amazing at the price. There is a 24 hour Dupars next door that is very convenient, and various fast food within a very quick walk. You'd have to go further afield for something fancier, unless you want to brave the lines for Phil's BBQ right across the street, which I hear is worth it. The only thing that detracted from a perfect 5 score for this hotel is the surrounding neighbourhood and I feel a little unfair marking them down for it as it's not something they can control but it's in the middle of a lot of strip malls and some big stores (and a "casino center" that never seemed to have anything going on) and the like so kind of creepy deserted at times, not super clean. This hotel met the price and location demands I had incredibly well, and were I to take the same trip again I would certainly have this hotel at the top of my list. Leia mais

The rooms were updated and clean however the elevator was out so we had to use the stairs. There was a large motorhome parked parrallel with rooms with a large number of people in and out of it all evening. Due to the location of the hotel, between two main streets, there was alot of shady people walking through there.

Went for the Charger Game, stayed for the WREX The Halls Concert and we were in a perfect location for both. Friendly staff at checkin and a great room made it a terrific weekend!!! I travel for a living and this was a personal trip, and this hotel/staff exceeded my expectations!! Thank You All!

The check-in staff was friendly, nice and helpful. The hotel was close to Sea World and easy to find. The hotel was decent, the room was clean, but the hotel itself is just beat up, old and in need of some TLC, a fresh coat of paint, something to perk it up. Horrible customer service, I guess I should really say NO customer service, they never waited on us. We ended up walking out. The first 2 rooms I was in didn't have hot water or elevator access. The room I ended up in had ants crawling all over the bathroom. I had to beg to get my towels replenished, the tv had maybe 20 channels, most of which were sports or spanish. I found food from a previous person on the floor. The hot tubs barely worked right and the pool was cold. The […] service was less than good...they didn't seem to care about the issues. There was no breakfast, you had to go to the diner next door, which also looked like a dump. They had several buildings with few rooms that were occupied, however they put someone on either side of me. This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in and I would be embarrassed to work there. I have stayed here multiple time, both alone on business, and with my family. close to Sea World, Mission beach, Phills BBQ ( which is a must for BBQ fans), and shopping locations. I always enjoy this hotel .

Very safe area, clean room and friendly staff. Easy to find and close to freeway. Found the swap meet the next morning across the street which was fun! Had many restaurant options and shopping areas close by. We would recommend this hotel!

Staying at this motel was extremely disappointing. It was a waste if money

This Hotel is good for Families with Kids. Not for those who like early bed hours and sleeping in. If you call in a noise complaint to the office, even after 11pm, do not expect a rapid response. Great Location and easy to access, with many near by amenities.

They advertise that they have WiFi in the hotel. This is not entirely true. We stayed in a room that did get the WiFi. I had 4 devices with me and none could connect. When I called the front desk to ask what was going on they said they were rebooting the Router. Very comfortable and pleasant helpful staff. But as a motel it wasn't ideal for someone without a car. There were bus stops just outside but it took 30-40 minutes to reach downtown San Diego. However, there were reasonable restaurants very close and it didn't take long to find one's way about.

While the staff were very nice, the facility was rather avarage, it is loud and surrounded by a tire shop that opens early on weekends, and close enough to busy road as to be rather annoying. If you need a place to stay it will do the job, the location is near old town, sea world, Belmont Park and with in walking distance to fast food joints, not to […] mention a handful of "gentlemen's" clubs... If you're looking for a good clean room, then this is the place. If you want good parking, then avoid this place. Its obvious that the hotel was not designed with the number of parking spaces in mind. The spaces are very small and look to have been made that way due to the lack of space. We had to park on the street across from the hotel due to not […] being able to get our car (2011 chevy malibu) into any of the parking spaces...and if we did...it would have been nearly impossible to get them out. The location was ok..Staff were somewhat friendly, though there was a person who looked like the owner that was very snobby and left the front desk when they saw us coming and we had to wait for another person to help us. Rooms were alright, but the price was appropriate. Neighborhood is not great...lot's of bums. I understand the County Mental Health Hospital is 6 blocks away which means folks are released right onto the streets and the area of this hotel is very convenient. Okay for business travel, would not recommend for families.

This is a older hotel that needs some work. Rooms were clean. Limited channels on cables. Three miles to airport. The staff was great and always ready to help.

It's kind of noisy outside but it's a ok place just for sleeping since its close to sea world and downtown.
