Boston Omni Parker House Hotel - Boston

VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.

Good location, not perfect as other hotels close to Back Bay. The hotel is very classic, rooms are not too space, were a little smaller than my expectation. Staff very friendly. Is very good and classical hotel. Excellent restaurant.

Location was great! Everyone that I ran into that worked there was pleasant and helpful in answering any questions. Shamis -I know I am miss spelling his name :-( - was great! It's always refreshing to run into people that are just nice people!

Loved it. Really old world charm. Everyone was super helpful and more than nice. I would stay here again.

The hotel is well located in Boston's financial district. It is close to subway entrances and easy walking distance to Quincy Market, the Boston Common,l and the North End. The staff is friendly and helpful. The common areas are nice, a throwback to days of yesteryear. The problem is the rooms. My wife and I stayed in a "Deluxe" room. It contained two […] double beds and had space for little else. Two people could not move around the room at the same time. The walls are uninsulated; one can hear your neighbors easily. My husband and I stayed for a week, primarily for business, but managed to find time for leisure as well. The location is perfect - close to Boston Commons and walking distance to just about everywhere in Boston. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is elegant and very well maintained, especially considering it's one of the oldest in the […] county. Staff & accommodations were top notch great bar & dinning room short walk to anywhere & the RANGERS won

Room was the smallest available for that price, but if you are only sleeping there, it's a small inconvenience.

Beautiful hotel...old school Boston class at its finest. Great location, easy walk to theaters, Faneuil Hall area and North End. Would definately stay there again.

Formerly the Parker Hotel, this place has the old style charm without the pretentiousness. Very courteous and friendly service from front desk, concierge, bar staff and room service. We were asked on checking in the reason for our visit and my wife mentioned it was our anniversary. Shortly after unpacking in our room we were presented with a small bottle […] of champagne and two Boston Cream Pies, a speciality of the hotel. Room was fairly small but clean and the bed was comfortable. We had read reviews of noise permeating the walls but we did not experience this. Beautiful historic hotel and magnificently maintained. Staff was responsive. Only issue was w/valet parking. Kept us waiting too long, but waived the charges.

I was disappointed with my stay at the Omni Parker House. Although the review read of a recent renovation, they failed to mention it was only to the lobby. The hotel room was extremely antiquated, it had a peeling ceiling, the shower was uninhabitable and the overall cleaniness of the room was below par. I liked this hotel, very very historic, very good location but very small and idiosyncratic. I was there for three days and was glad to move onto another more modern property with bigger rooms - this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in!

In room we stayed, thebathroom tilesand grout mouldy,ceiling paint peeling,and back of bathroom door dirty.Rest of room very clean.

Such a famed property deserves a better incarnation than the current Parker House by Omni. It's downright dreary -- from the lobby to the guest rooms. There is no energy about the place, and one wouldn't want to spend any time, except to sleep. The location is convenient, the bed was comfortable and the service I encountered was friendly enough.

We loved our stay at Omni Parker, it was close to everything in Boston....very easy to just hop right on the T and go where ever you want. Although everything is pretty much in walking distance! Staff was very friendly and everything was very clean! I cant wait to go back.

I got a great price for an 8-night stay here, plus I booked rooms for four of my colleagues for various nights. From the reviews I'd read, I was kind of expecting cramped, old-fashioned rooms that needed updating. Really, the room does not have a lot of space, but it doesn't feel cramped with just me, and I think it would be okay for two people. My […] room has two beds, and since the desk is really too small for anything but a laptop, I spread out on the second bed. But the furnishings are in good repair and nice, the beds are comfortable, and I don't really have any complaints (besides that the shower is lousy!). The walls are thin, as I'd read, and I'm really sensitive to noise, but I haven't had much of a problem, even with a family staying next door. Though, to be honest, I used a white noise generator either on my iPod or on my computer to drown out the noise. The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and you can pick up the Freedom Trail directly in front of the hotel. The food in the hotel restaurant is mediocre, though, and of course overpriced. I did try the Boston creme pie, and it was much better than I expected (but $8 for a piece!). Overall, I've been very happy with my stay here. It's a beautiful place and I'd definitely recommend it as long as you can get a decent price. Leia mais

Awesome location right on "Freedom Trail" but the rooms are so small, parking fee was outrageous, in-room dining was below expectations and the hotel does not have any soundproofing at all. All in all I did not dislike it, the hotel has some charm to it but for the money I paid, I expected much more. I won't stay there next time.

This hotel and staff never disappoints me.

This hotel turned out to be the perfect place for a romantic getaway! When we checked in, the concierge asked why we were visiting. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, he said, "Well, don't eat too much dessert at dinner!" When we came back to our room (after a delicious meal at the Parker House restaurant), we found a bottle of champagne chilling […] on ice and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, accompanied by a very nice note of congratulations. I stayed here for my honeymoon. The hotel is located in a perfect location, we were able to walk everywhere. The lobby is beautiful. Our room was quite small but sufficient for a couple. The bathroom was tiny but clean. Great hotel for the price.

Ideally located for walking to many attractions, located for easy access to the subway, close enough to the airport. The concierge and doormen were very helpful for other transportation methods. Will definitely stay there whenever I go to Boston

The location and public spaces are great and certainly should be enjoyed. The downside is the room so if you're planning to spend any time there or are a businestravelerer, this is not the place for you. -- Internet is slow and got better performance from the Klimpton across the street -- The iron was broken. When I asked them to replace it, they brought […] another broken one, though it was broken in a completely different way. -- In the double rooms, there is no place to work or even put a suit case. -- There really isn't room in the closet to hand more than two shirts. -- The bathroom has mildew and was a bit gross -- The bed had lost its support and actually seemed inclined toward the headboard So with all that, my stay there was good; I just didn't want to go back to the room. Everyone at Parker House was very nice. The people kept it from being a terrible experience. When the valet found out my son was devestated that the gift shop was closed and we couldn't get any Boston Creme Pies to take home, he went and got one for him. The people were great. Everything else however was bad. Our rooms were very late getting set up […] and the cot they delivered couldn't even unfold in the room. Luckily we had two rooms. When I told the hotelier of my issues, she was very experienced in telling me what my options were, but a partial refund was not going to be a part of it. She knew exactly what to say because I think she has to do it a lot. There are always tons of people in the lobby and a ton of luggage. It all made sense...we were not alone in our trouble, more than 50 other people milling about the lobby and probably more outside exploring Boston, were all waiting for our promised rooms to become available. It is a shame because the location is great, the history of the hotel is awesome, the people were very nice, but none of that matters when the quality of service is so bad. Leia mais

Nice hotel, very close to Boston Common park. Room was extremely small, buffet and valet pkg really expensive!! :(

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Omni Parker. Very impressed by the beautiful entrance lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the option of the early morning coffee brought to the room. Bedroom was a little on the cool side and We were surprised that the bed covers were blankets and not a duvet. We will revisit later this year.

Great location. Good rates, but walls were very thin and was kept awake from neighboring room conversations and very warm room temperature.

The hotel is very nice and elegant, but not the best place if your there with friends to party. We had another guest stating she was going to complaint of the noise at 4 in the afternoon and we weren't even loud. My husband and I (along with two other couples) stayed at the Boston Omni Parker Hotel this weekend. We chose this hotel because it is the closest to the Orpheum Theater as we had tickets to see the Legendary Allaman Brothers Band. The hotel exceeded our expectations as far as convenience to the venue, courteous staff (the staff knew that we were in […] town for the show: we got to reminisce about the "old concert days of our youth" ), and the hotel was by far the cleanest and most comfortable ever!!! I remarked to my husband that I wanted to roll up the entire bed and bring it home with me :) We would unquestionably recommend this hotel for visitors from near and far as it is centrally located to many Boston landmarks, restaurants and "things to do"......thank you :) Leia mais
