This is the commercial and financial centre of town, with Ayala Avenue considered the equivalent of New York’s Wall Street. Many multi-national companies have set up headquarters, alongside up-market shopping malls, luxury hotels, and a variety of cultural and recreational distractions. The relatively high numbers of ex-pats give the district a distinct cosmopolitan flavour.

"Manila Intercontinental"
I have been staying at the Manila ICON for several years during my visits there. The hotel has become tired and run down...services as well. Unless you stay in a suite, the rooms are cramped. The bathrooms are very, very small with ceilings less than 2 metres high. The beds are not comfortable. The air conditioner did not get the room below 26 degrees. […] Transportation to the airport has doubled in price in two years. Overall, not worth staying there. Service at the bar was slow - took 30 minutes for a snack... "Most convenient location"
For business or leisure travel, InterCon is conveniently located, close to the financial district of Makati and Fort Bonifacio; a 15-min ride to the airports;shopping and restaurants are just across the street. Quite secured area; staff most courteous and pleasant. Highly recommended.
"my stay at intercontinental"
Really have no complains at all except for the fact that it took me almost 20mins to checkout when only one other guest was in front of me!
Great hotel; walking distance to the mall. Will stay again.
"the intercon experience"
we lived in manila for 15 yrs and we never stayed at the intercon. so we decided to give it a try just in case there is something new with the hotel after these years. the hotel lobby is exactly the same as we can remember it although there was an exhibit. the rooms look as old as the hotel. my husband was so surprised to find that the TV in the room […] was still a CRT! in fairness, they did replace it with a flat screen on the day we were leaving. buffet breakfast was very local that the a la carte was a better option. it is very convenient to the shopping centers and restaurants but i dont think we will ever book this hotel again unless thats the only one available. it is Leia mais
"Needs improvements"
The lobby of the Intercontinental hotel in Manila and the lobby bar are the two highlights of the hotel. The staff service was good, but the quality of the hotel overall needs improvement. Also, the quality of the breakfast was just OK. There was plenty of food to choose from but the quality wasn't good. The phone in my room didn't work; I had to wait […] 15 mins for the shower to heat up to a warm temp - it never got hot. I asked pre-paid for a single double and got a room with two single beds. And the internet is outrageously expensive. The location is great, the staff is nice and the lobby bar is very good although I had to get the waitress several times my self. Overall, for the brand name of the hotel it was not up-to-par. Leia mais
"Great Stay"
The hotel has been around so you can tell the rooms are a little older. However, all the furniture was in great shape and the room was very clean and comfortable. The Club Lounge is on the top floor and has a great view of the city. The food and drinks were great! I plan to stay again.
"bathroom not too good"
hotel was fine,but the only thing i found to not to be 5 star standard was the bathrooms in a deluxe room,not very big, lacking in bidea, cleanliness,and facilities, otherwise all was good, especially the staff all over hotel

Upside: Intercon Makati is very conveniently located in the Makati Business Districtnext to the sprawling Glorietta/Greenbelt mega-mall complex, as well as the MRT (light rail public transport), although I doubt most Intercon patrons would ever consider using public transport in Manila. In general, my room was well-appointed and services were OK (decent […] gym, OK room service). However, the room rate did not include breakfast (unforgiveable in Asia), Internet was a pricey $16/day or $50/week, and the room was NOISY (walls seemed unacceptably thin). The room was very clean but I did not appreciate finding the half-used box of condoms underneath the bed. Can you do better in Makati at this pricepoint? Maybe not, but these failings are unaccepatbel for a 4-star hotel. Leia mais

"マニラ マカティにあり食事、買い物に非常に便利"
ジュニアスートに泊まったせいか、チェックインはフロントでできず、１４Fで行った。雰囲気が良かったので、問題はないが、リピーター用なのか、案内がなく、少し戸惑った。帰りのチェックアウトも６：３０から始まるので、都合で６：２５に出ようとしたら、コンピューターも立ち上がっていなかった。ただし、その後はスムースだった。部屋は広くて良かったが、２人で予約して泊まったにも関わらず、すべてのセットが１人用で、クレームを言ってアメニティ、バスローブを持ってきてもらった。ウェルカム果物も１人用だったと思われる。風呂のお湯の調整が今一でちょうど良い温度に設定ができなかった。多少あつくても我慢して入った。ホテルマンは挨拶もきちんとできて良かったが、ホテルニューオータニの方が行き届いていたと思う。アクセス、買い物な […] どは非常に良い位置で便利だった。裕福なビジネスマン向けのホテルという印象が強かった。 Leia mais
